This beautifully renovated holiday home has 5 rooms and can accommodate 20 people comfortably. Originally a school, this house is in Wijtschate and has been renovated, now is ideal for a group of friends or family with kids.
Wijtschate belongs to the woody municipality of Heuvelland, which offers lots of leisure activities. The many walking, cycling and horse riding paths will lead you to welcoming local villages which have their own attractions. Visit the various museums or discover the local gastronomy.
The blackboard, maps of the world and writing desks will remind you of the history of this monumental house. The living room is decorated like a cafe with a bar and offers different games, like table football, which will delight young and old.

A wonderful holiday! We stayed there with 22 people, 12 adults and 10 children between the 9y.o. and 8 months. All necessary comfort is present. Especially the bathrooms with separate shower and toilet are a plus. the well-equipped kitchen and cozy sitting area were pleasant one to linger. We mainly used the "cafe area" and the kids played in the classroom like for teacher and master. There was a lot of punishment to be distributed! After a successful BBQ and some romping in the garden we have a wonderful hike to explore the region. And it's beautiful! It is well worth its 4 stars! Highly recommended.

For a weekend with 15 family members due to the 80th anniversary of my mother, we investigated a large, comfortable accommodations and we have found in Wijtschate, Old school De Linde. The five bedrooms were very happy and pleasantly decorated, comfortable beds, large bathroom. The living areas downstairs were huge, football was a big success, television and movies for the kids too. The large mensergerjeniet game was used. The two refrigerators were all in use with beer, lemonade and wijn.De kitchen was a pleasure to celebrate with his cooking and several dishes simultaneously prepared to make. The oldest grandson was a whiz at barbecues and made for the outdoors. It was a brilliant weekend and the weather gods were also very favorable. In short, thanks that we could stay in there! School De Linde is a must! The property is extremely well maintained. Large rooms and a nice garden with decked area, ideal for BBQ "and. We came to the Old School for the second time because we can not imagine a better home. We were with 12 adults and 5 teenagers. A fully equipped kitchen, with cookware and pots that can be cooked properly, plenty of eating utensils, a professional dishwasher, a large oven ... The school is a very nice place to stay, it is beautifully decorated with all the trimmings and the kitchen is very well equipped with nice comfortable (which is rather different in other places), and also the bathrooms are pico bello! The kicker table (foosball) was with great enthusiasm and was widely used, like the lovely old "horse play". I would be a 10/10 show, if the heater is OK, it will be no problem in the summer, but the blowers on the ceiling in the kitchen and the living room give 1 / still pretty noisy and 2 / there is much heat is lost as warm air rises and simply as this rooms with high ceilings .... It would be better if there below, as above in the bedrooms, ordinary radiators zijn.Maar again, especially in the summer, this is a must! We had at least a very nice weekend with the family!

A quiet location. The rooms are simply decorated, but everything is of very good quality beds, a shower that works quickly and hot water supplies. The location, near Ypres, is ideal for trips of a cultural nature as a solid bike ride in the hilly landscape (bike with gears is a must, also for children) .Achter the building is the old play yard. With 12 adults and 8 children between 5 and 16jr, we have a wonderful weekend behind The rooms are like hotel rooms with covered beds and sleek wall texts. Each room has a private shower and toilet. All newly renovated and well maintained. Great sleep! The kitchen is also great nicely renovated (with enough storage space for food and drinks) and equipped with a modern mural making you feel like you are in a hip eatery with matching Smeg cooker with oven. AND when we just encountered a small technical defect, the owner was there immediately to fix the fault. On This destination is a must in the full tour group. The residence is located in the fields and is just 10 minutes drive Ypres! A must for those who want to discover tasteful near Ypres.

After a successful BBQ and some romping in the garden we have a wonderful hike to explore the region. And it's beautiful! It is well worth its 4 stars! Highly recommended.

With 16 attendees children and adults we could enjoy lots of living space and comfort, the garden (Playground) was closed and very safe for kinderen.De environment of the surrounding municipalities offered much history and variety.

The school is a very nice place to stay, it is beautifully decorated with all the trimmings and the kitchen is very well equipped with nice comfortable (which is rather different in other places), and also the bathrooms are pico bello! The kicker table (foosball) was with great enthusiasm and was widely used, like the lovely old "horse play". I would be a 10/10 show, if the heater is OK, it will be no problem in the summer, but the blowers on the ceiling in the kitchen and the living room give 1 / still pretty noisy and 2 / there is much heat is lost as warm air rises and simply as this rooms with high ceilings .... It would be better if there below, as above in the bedrooms, ordinary radiators zijn.Maar again, especially in the summer, this is a must! We had at least a very nice weekend with the family!

This is an excellent place for families - we had 9 children with us and all could cycle and run around in freedom. We were welcomed in all the local villages and didn "t even mind (too much) the fresh agricultural smells ..... Hopefully this is just the first of many visits to Heuvelland.

When we arrived I immediately had the feeling that it would be a fun weekend. nostalgia oozing! the rooms are nice and big and well furnished. the bedrooms we had not to complain. the beds were good and the bathroom was clean. The garden is large enough, when it rains there is a good covering. for children there is also plenty to do and the owners have thought of everything! I thought it was a must!

on weekends from 6 to 9 June we organized a group of friends the game "mole" to the same TV program. What a location! This beautifully restored school met all the requirements and expectations, lots of space, modern kitchen, large living room, all bedrooms equipped with private bathroom, cozy sitting area upstairs, in short, top location! For a weekend with 15 family members due to the 80th anniversary of my mother, we investigated a large, comfortable accommodations and we have found in Wijtschate, Old school De Linde. The five bedrooms were very happy and pleasantly decorated, comfortable beds, large bathroom. The living areas downstairs were huge, football was a big success, television and movies for the kids too. The large mensergerjeniet game was used. The two refrigerators were all in use with beer, lemonade and wijn.De kitchen was a pleasure to celebrate with his cooking and several dishes simultaneously prepared to make. The oldest grandson was a whiz at barbecues and made for the outdoors. It was a brilliant weekend and the weather gods were also very favorable. In short, thanks that we could stay in there! We stayed at this property in response to a 55-year anniversary. We were pleasantly surprised by the originality and cleanliness of the house. Everything for a successful family stay out of it was present, including the clean and spacious rooms offering the necessary pricacy offered for the various families. The beds were made and there should not be cleaned by us: EIA should not be.

Every year we go on weekend with a group of friends that we are in a distant past week on Sunday took the train to go to college in Leuven. Meanwhile, there are also many children have been added. We are here with a group of friends and children a super nice weekend. The children could have fun in the classroom, while parents enjoyed a quiet drink in the salon.Iedere bedroom is very spacious, with a very functional bathroom. I celebrated my 60th birthday with the family. We were excited about the space that the house offers. Even though you're 20, you never feel that you meet in your way. Also ies quality furniture, dishes, bedding etc.. Was excellent. The view over the fields is special, especially when you realize that this was the battlefield of the First World War. The visit to Ypres in Flanders Fields made this very clear.

Old school "De Linde" is perfect for a weekend with teambuilding theme "school". The old school desk gave great class photo 's and the class on the top floor was excellent quiz locally. Everything is very neat and tidy. A big plus is a bathroom in each bedroom. Also very practical were already made beds. Definitely recommended!

The concept of the house is superb. The classroom, the spacious kitchen, the nice clean rooms each with a private bathroom, a separate bar and relaxation area, ... The only disadvantage that surely the atmosphere has little pressed, the soured neighbor. a very nice place the school in Wijtschate and perfect for a large family like onze.We were 2 parents, eight children with their partners and 5 kleinkinderen.4 teams of four children made dinner ready and that went fine in the large kitchen.The lokaaltje classroom on the first floor was greatly appreciated by our granddaughter Ainoa of 7.a walk to Palingbeek and the trip to the Rodeberg with zeteltje elevator were perfect.We are from kortrijk bike to Wytschaete drove through Lys and further channel Komen-Ieper.Iedereen was extremely satisfied, next year we do this over ... especially the charm of the stay made our weekend. While howled outside an icy north wind, we sat in the cozy lounge, we drank gin and tonic at the bar and was fully cooked in the cozy kitchen. With our theme of the weekend "the time when" we were just in the perfect location. But we should certainly not compromise on modern comforts or small spaces. It is rare that a house contributes so much to create the atmosphere at our annual weekend.

Very spacious and beautiful holiday. A well-equipped kitchen so that cooking for a large group is not a problem. The interior is nice, everywhere references to the origin of the building. A quiet location. The rooms are simply decorated, but everything is of very good quality beds, a shower that works quickly and hot water supplies. The location, near Ypres, is ideal for trips of a cultural nature as a solid bike ride in the hilly landscape (bike with gears is a must, also for children) .Achter the building is the old play yard. We have a good time with a few games Kubb.Hier we will still come back.

Located in the beautiful Flemish country's former primary school very tastefully converted into a guesthouse. Ideal for groups (there are 5 bedrooms) because the public areas are large and bright. Huge kitchen, nice "bar" area with table football and games and also a spacious TV room. We especially liked the authentic classroom fun because we have played a quiz.

With 12 adults and 8 children between 5 and 16jr, we have a wonderful weekend behind The rooms are like hotel rooms with covered beds and sleek wall texts. Each room has a private shower and toilet. All newly renovated and well maintained. Great sleep! The kitchen is also great nicely renovated (with enough storage space for food and drinks) and equipped with a modern mural making you feel like you are in a hip eatery with matching Smeg cooker with oven. AND when we just encountered a small technical defect, the owner was there immediately to fix the fault. On This destination is a must in the full tour group. The residence is located in the fields and is just 10 minutes drive Ypres! A must for those who want to discover tasteful near Ypres.

We rented the house to celebrate the 15th anniversary of our association. An ideal location with nice kitchen, nice bar and classroom. Thrilled the beds were made, we did not provide toilet paper, kitchen towels, dish rags or vaatwasblokjes. We came to the Old School for the second time because we can not imagine a better home. We were with 12 adults and 5 teenagers. A fully equipped kitchen, with cookware and pots that can be cooked properly, plenty of eating utensils, a professional dishwasher, a large oven ... A pleasant sitting area and a relaxation room with a lane that can be leaked. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, for the children have enough space to play undisturbed. And most of all everything is crazy and well maintained.

We have nothing but praise for this beautiful property, very well equipped kitchen, neat and spacious bedrooms with modern plumbing, the playroom upstairs seemed superfluous (perhaps an extra bedroom can be made) the tricycle and skateboard in the gazebo were widely used by the kids the trip to this area was appreciated, we are the youth go jogging, while the kids on the playground zaten.VVV Kemmel: very helpful, gave detailed information about indoor and outdoor activities, child-friendly restaurants, bike rental ed.bekijk certainly film in the visitor center and then to Bayernwald to go.
