Initially we had reserved another (much nicer/more luxurious) accommodation in Weismes. This booking was canceled by Belvilla just over a month in advance, with the reason that the property was no longer available. The accommodation in La Roche was the only alternative offered to our group, at such short notice we had no other choice.
The kitchen is large, but there is no cupboard space for food that does not need to be in the refrigerator, so we left it on the table.
On arrival we could not find the (booked and paid for) bedding, after telephone contact it turned out to be in a box in the hallway with a lock on it, we received the code by telephone so that we could get the bedding.
The rooms are somewhat small, beds are fine, but you sleep under a grubby blanket (with a sheet) instead of a duvet.
There is a lot of deferred maintenance in this house, a lot of wood rot, protruding screws on the balustrade of the balcony, it is not clean, there is mold on the walls. In one bedroom there were plasters stuck to the wall, in another the door of the cupboard was against the wall.
On the last day a person got a cold shower, because the hot water suddenly ran out?!
We also had to record the meter readings ourselves, calculate the energy costs and fill in a form that had to be left on the table in the house.
All in all, we enjoyed the beautiful surroundings of La Roche. We had a great time together, but this had nothing to do with the accommodation.

The house needs maintenance. When you take a shower in certain rooms, water runs through the ceiling into the living room. Spot comes from ceiling living room. Some shutters need to be replaced. Emergency exit top floor will NOT open. The previous tenants left everything from kitchen equipment very dirty. So wash all plates, glasses, cutlery, bowls, pans, etc. at our expense (use of electricity and water in the dishwasher). Many papers and other things were still in cupboards and on the floor. In our opinion, there has been a very superficial cleaning. There are 2 refrigerators on the description, but there is only one. Far too little for 24 people. Rest was not too bad, Good beds (on the first floor, second floor was slightly less), Ambiance we made ourselves. have to get out on Sunday before 10 am to bring the key in. This brings the necessary stress at the end of a nice long weekend.

Arrival went smoothly, unfortunately the house was not really clean and the fridge and freezer was not yet on. Outside it was 40 degrees and had to wait until night for cold drinks. This holiday home has all the atmosphere! The panoramic views are crazy, perfect for sunset photos. Sauna? A huge plus for relaxation after a long day of sightseeing. Initially we had reserved another (much nicer/more luxurious) accommodation in Weismes. This booking was canceled by Belvilla just over a month in advance, with the reason that the property was no longer available. The accommodation in La Roche was the only alternative offered to our group, at such short notice we had no other choice.
The kitchen is large, but there is no cupboard space for food that does not need to be in the refrigerator, so we left it on the table.
On arrival we could not find the (booked and paid for) bedding, after telephone contact it turned out to be in a box in the hallway with a lock on it, we received the code by telephone so that we could get the bedding.
The rooms are somewhat small, beds are fine, but you sleep under a grubby blanket (with a sheet) instead of a duvet.
There is a lot of deferred maintenance in this house, a lot of wood rot, protruding screws on the balustrade of the balcony, it is not clean, there is mold on the walls. In one bedroom there were plasters stuck to the wall, in another the door of the cupboard was against the wall.
On the last day a person got a cold shower, because the hot water suddenly ran out?!
We also had to record the meter readings ourselves, calculate the energy costs and fill in a form that had to be left on the table in the house.
All in all, we enjoyed the beautiful surroundings of La Roche. We had a great time together, but this had nothing to do with the accommodation.

The house needs maintenance. When you take a shower in certain rooms, water runs through the ceiling into the living room. Spot comes from ceiling living room. Some shutters need to be replaced. Emergency exit top floor will NOT open. The previous tenants left everything from kitchen equipment very dirty. So wash all plates, glasses, cutlery, bowls, pans, etc. at our expense (use of electricity and water in the dishwasher). Many papers and other things were still in cupboards and on the floor. In our opinion, there has been a very superficial cleaning. There are 2 refrigerators on the description, but there is only one. Far too little for 24 people. Rest was not too bad, Good beds (on the first floor, second floor was slightly less), Ambiance we made ourselves. have to get out on Sunday before 10 am to bring the key in. This brings the necessary stress at the end of a nice long weekend.

This did not solve it, but it broke open the cupboard, so that the glass fell out and broke. We eventually reset the installation itself, after which the service notification went out. The engineer in question was nice under the influence, and visibly did his need on the roadside next to the house before he arrived.
