We have 8 adults with a truly fantastic short vacation in Heurtebise. The house with great terrace with beautiful old leilindes overlooking Bouillon was above expectations. The garden with several terraces was very nice. Everything very authentic, but a beautiful new bathroom. We have taken it for a week and fantastic weather several times until 9 o'clock "evening can BBQ" and. The two large picnic tables were useful. Also a lovely area for walking, canoeing and pedal boating or just naturally enjoy a nice cafe or restaurant. The car you almost do not need the climb back up to Heurtebise be tough after a day out.

The furniture is old as well, but that only adds to the character of the house. House was clean, and everything is working fine.There is room for 2 cars parking in front. But you need to be careful, the driveway is extremely steep. The only thing we would have liked to have is a bit better quality chairs in the garden. Fantastic location. We have been able to stay here during both the summer and autumn holidays. From the living room and two of the four bedrooms you have a beautiful view over the valley. The terrace is beautifully landscaped, as are the garden rooms, the stairs and the beech hedges. The house and furnishings are dated, but that is part of the charm of the house for us. Even if you do not use all the rooms, each room is still worth a visit. Furthermore, all comforts are provided. Reception by the owner, and on a previous visit by his brother, was very friendly. One speaks nice Dutch, the other English. Both were very helpful. Parking is possible in the driveway, but requires some skill and caution when entering and exiting. The house is higher in relation to the street, so luggage has to be lugged along a number of landscaped natural stone stairs anyway. You can reach the lovely center of Bouillon in a few minutes on foot. Great house with very nice location. The house stands on the other side than the Castle of Bouillon, you have an excellent view of the castle and the town of intervening. We have repeatedly enjoyed the view and the beautiful garden. The decor is from the time of the early 20th century, beautiful! The bathroom is newly renovated and even has a jacuzzi. Note the many stairs to the house. If you have trouble walking or moderate condition, this house does not have to raden.Een must is a visit to the castle. Heurtebise undoubtedly surpasses your (naughtiest) verwachtingen.Gesitueerd one of the Ardennes mountains have full view of the valley where the picturesque village of Bouillon. On the other side, a little lower on the other ridge, lies the old castle of Godfrey of Bouillon, leader of the First Crusade in 1096. (The castle is well worth a visit). From the house you have a full view over the valley of Bouillon and the burcht.Het house accommodates 8 people. The four bedrooms have an appropriate, authentic decor: brown stylish rooms with wooden floors, which are robust furniture placed. The beds vary in size but are all too slept well. One of the rooms has a real bedstede.De kitchen is called. Highly practical It features a dishwasher, washing machine and oven. At the table is fine ontbijten.In the living room is very nice place. The beautiful fireplace makes it nice and hot, so you can sink down on the couch or an armchair. In July 2017 we spent a week in the house Heurtebise in Bouillon. Thanks to Navi the house was quite easy to find however it went very steeply up. The reception by the manager, or his wife was very friendly. The apartment was quickly explained, but only in French. The decor was missing nothing, except for proper mattresses, as we later had to notice. The garden area was rather badly not at all, the apartment was clean and big enough The house is simply fantastic, but only suitable for people with heart problems. - Partly shaky stepped stairs outside. - Inside the electrical installation (position of the switches) and stairs in uneven height. - If you want to walk and is not very good on foot, its difficulties Have ans the house to come. The gastronomy however is great and the landscape is wonderful.

The garden offers beautiful places, nice seats, and the view of the surrounding area is blessed. A weekend in the Ardennes in March 2004. Friday in a rainy Bouillon arrived, but the rest of the weekend weather. Feb. 23-24-25 we went (father, mother, two girls aged 8 and 4 and an aupair) in Heurtebise. On the way we visited the caves of Han. Saturday and Sunday were unfortunately not so good in terms of weather, but that did not spoil the fun, because in the cozy living room by the fireplace was a nice place. What I found annoying was that we were not good enough garbage sorted, the rules are really about much stricter in the Netherlands. We thought we had done well. The next time we do it better! We enjoyed, with 2 families in this fantastic house. We stayed in the Christmas week in Bouillon, What a lovely house in the snow, the atmosphere, and especially: THE VIEW! After the daily walk (walking on sale at the Tourist Office in broth) to the fireplace, and enjoy the house and everything in this house has to offer as well Bouillon. What a great environment and what a super nice house! Beautiful location on top of the hill with indeed plenty of views over the castle of Bouillon which is nicely lit in the evening. The house is fully furnished in style and exudes history. What an experience to sleep in an old four-poster bed! Great walks, fishing in the Semois and plenty of opportunities for cycling, of course you have to be practiced in this part of Belgium. Agile garden where we have been sitting a lot with, how could it be otherwise a great view of Bouillon. The living room with its many windows, the view over the city and the fireplace is a cozy place to sit in the evening. In short, if you like history a great place to spend. With great pleasure we have 6 adults and 2 children spent four days in this charming home. We started with sun, 15 degrees, and finished with a thick layer of snow (March 2007). The furniture is old as well, but that only adds to the character of the house. House was clean, and everything is working fine.There is room for 2 cars parking in front. But you need to be careful, the driveway is extremely steep. The only thing we would have liked to have is a bit better quality chairs in the garden. Had a fantastic stay in this beautiful mansion. A great view over the city and the castle! The house is very cozy and well equipped. We had a puppy (10 weeks) with us and for her it was beautiful. A great garden and because we have had beautiful weather we can enjoy delicious! A real winner! Only a critical point: new mattresses are not unnecessary!

We have 8 adults with a truly fantastic short vacation in Heurtebise. The house with great terrace with beautiful old leilindes overlooking Bouillon was above expectations. The garden with several terraces was very nice. Everything very authentic, but a beautiful new bathroom. We have taken it for a week and fantastic weather several times until 9 o'clock "evening can BBQ" and. The two large picnic tables were useful. We just came back from a long weekend in additional broth. Another excellent stay had in Heurtebise / Bouillon, Pleasant reception, and of course the house with spectacular views. (Note: for wheelchair / infirm people, it is difficult to achieve. Fantastic location. We have been able to stay here during both the summer and autumn holidays. From the living room and two of the four bedrooms you have a beautiful view over the valley. The terrace is beautifully landscaped, as are the garden rooms, the stairs and the beech hedges. The house and furnishings are dated, but that is part of the charm of the house for us. Even if you do not use all the rooms, each room is still worth a visit. Furthermore, all comforts are provided. Reception by the owner, and on a previous visit by his brother, was very friendly. One speaks nice Dutch, the other English. Both were very helpful. Parking is possible in the driveway, but requires some skill and caution when entering and exiting. The house is higher in relation to the street, so luggage has to be lugged along a number of landscaped natural stone stairs anyway. You can reach the lovely center of Bouillon in a few minutes on foot. The way back is a bit more difficult after a few beers or wine, but still doable. ;-) Also within walking distance: the local go-kart track and the charming zoo of Bouillon. In the evening you can hear the donkey braying from the terrace and the wolves and dogs howling. Small minuses: the traffic from the nearby highway can be heard even better in autumn. Probably due to the wind direction and less dense vegetation. otherwise clearly stated in the description, so that can't be a surprise either. For us it was not a big problem and in the house you have little to no problems van.Verder, the dining room chairs in the living room have sagged and need to be replaced.
