Amazing location in the middle of a small town and even better view.
However, a week before booking we received an email that we had to pay a €100 cash deposit upon arrival. This was not mentioned while booking, and I was unpleasantly surprised. (We did get the deposit back after leaving the house.) Further, the vacuum cleaner was broken/poorly fixed and obviously had been for a while. That was visible, especially under the beds. The adult beds were comfortable, bunk beds a bit less.
Sitting area was technically for 4 people, but was very tight for 4 adults (one of us always ended up pulling up a less comfortable chair). All in all, we loved our vacation but think this house could be much better with some attention and simple upgrades.

We could enter the house 2 hours earlier. It was said to be clean. But clean might be different in Belgium than we are used to. Tomato soup splatters on kitchen cabinets, hair, everything very sticky, and a lot of spiders and webs. Contact was made with the owner who said it was because we could enter earlier and the cleaner had to rush. We really think that's a flop... it had been dirty for months. Furthermore, very much was old or broken. Dryer, dishwasher, vacuum cleaner, shower... A lot of money for this house. The only really super beautiful thing was the view.

First of all, the location of this house is fantastic: in the middle of the forest, with lots of privacy and a beautiful view. We were very hospitably received by Mr. Olivier and communication with him was smooth. The cottage was in good condition, but a bit outdated. In particular, the condition of the pans presented a small challenge when cooking. There is also no WiFi connection. Fortunately, the electronics worked fine (dishwasher, oven, microwave) and there was plenty to do in the area. All in all, we had a nice stay in this Belvilla. The only thing we missed a bit was a printout or folder with some more information about the house (for example how the oven works, or what we should do with our waste).
