We have spent a week with 10 people in this house. Houffalize is a nice town, but has little to offer. Why do fine groceries. The setting itself is beautiful, with three teenage daughters one day Liege (nice indoor center) and teenage son for a day of Bouillon (fortress, with nice bird show was really fun for everyone). Both around an hour's drive from afstand.Minpunten right patio looks out on a cemetery. We have no problem with that, but think this is worth mentioning. Also, the steep ascent to the entrance of the house is a barrier to older or less agile being companions. Grandparents are through the garage / staircase upstairs / entered. The bank is in need of replacement is quite saggy. Also, the hooks in the bathroom were sorely missed (but we have often experienced abroad). In addition, we found 1 coffee for 10 people (while the cottage is 12 persons) what little. The spacious backyard is adjacent to a meadow, where beef cattle passed us daily. Our company consists of three families, two with children. The house is spacious enough to let everyone do. Beautiful, large and comfortable house with a beautiful (play) garden. A bit unfortunate that the fixed BBQ was demolished and replaced by a much too small stainless steel Barbecook. Compared to last year, we found a new sofa that is not too comfortable. the downstairs room is worn (down is wrapped in spheres); luckily we had ours with us. The TV is also in urgent need of replacement (there is another TV screen) Cooking pots in the kitchen may also be larger ... if one is with 12 people. With five teenagers and four adults spent a week in the Gite Courteroye. A very convenient and practical home. The house is spotless and there is plenty of everything. Young found the WIFI summit. The reception was fast, clear and friendly. It's nice if you speak French and understand. There is plenty to do in the area, although you sometimes a bit of driving. We enjoyed the beautiful fall colors and the nice people in the villages. The accommodation is a large spacious house with adequate and decent sanitation. Kitchen and furniture are extremely neat. Our fourth car "s we were fine in the garage and on the driveway. Particularly enjoyable were the table tennis and table football. Due to the autumnal weather we did not use the facilities outside. For us Gite du Courteroye definitely a recommendation worth.

Houffalize center within walking distance, cool trip to Achouffe (adventurous walk in Vallée des fées, tasting La Chouffe beer and cheese) and Bastogne (war museum really worth it). Worth repeating.

Our annual Ardennes preparation weekend for our long weekend with the friends group is again smoothly. The weather was better than first predicted so we drew on map out search could get dry.
