Houffalize is a small city of the Ardennes, with mountain-biking and walking possibilities. The city offers a large choice of restaurants with local specialties and pubs where you can taste the local beer La Chouffe. The town center and supermarkets are at 1 km if you wish to go shopping. For a refreshing dip on a hot day, there is a public swimming pool 2 km away.

The living room has a wood stove that spreads cozy warmth when you are having meals or conversations. In the open kitchen, there is a coffee machine to make a quick cup at any time of the day. Evenings can be enjoyed with the barbecue in the garden. Parking is available.

Nice, large, and detached house with a garden and view. Disadvantage: it was freezing cold upon arrival, a few degrees, and the final electricity bill is out of proportion.

A quietly located cottage on the edge of Houfalize, with many conveniences nearby. Some details that stood out to us: - Upon arrival, the cottage did not seem to be thoroughly cleaned; the beds and living room chairs smelled of sweat. There were also some food remnants in the drain and the toilet area smelled of urine. - Bring your own toilet paper and dishwasher tablets, as these were not present upon arrival. - The cottage is located in a hunting area. We only realized this when we walked halfway to the cabin, then the signs were clear. When we arrived the day before in the dark, that was not readable. - The sauna is really a super good addition, especially after a day of hiking.

I had a pleasant stay in this vacation home. It was clean and well-equipped for our needs. The open kitchen was ideal for preparing meals, and we particularly enjoyed the barbecue evenings in the garden. Although the location was slightly remote, it offered a peaceful escape from the city, and we appreciated the proximity to local restaurants like Hotel L'Ermitage. The sauna was a nice addition, even though we didn't use it as much as planned. Overall, a solid choice for a quiet retreat.

House was in excellent condition and met expectations. It is located in a very quiet area in nature, so you can start right away with your walking shoes on. Perfect for six adults. The kitchen and inventory was very extensive, much more available than for 6 people, so you can easily turn on the dishwasher. There are also many basic things (wipes, cleaning products, etc.) available, which is very nice. The beds are fine, the rented bed covers are a mess, no two sets are the same, but you sleep under them anyway. The rooms are spacious enough and the sauna was very popular. The garden - especially the gravel - could sometimes be cleared of weeds, this would certainly enrich the appearance.
