We had a fantastic week (10-7 to 17-7) in this large house in a wonderful location. Very friendly reception by Mrs. Stoffels (84 years old) who speaks English. When you arrive, you can hardly believe that this is your rented house, with all that land around it. Absolute silence and a breathtaking view. There are walking paths starting from the garden behind the house (but there are few people and it's at a distance). When you arrive, you already pass the signs with routes (from 3 km). Splendid walks, do wear good footwear. We did not use the e-bikes. No bike paths but cycling on roads with cars and there are significant elevation differences. The decor of the house is old-fashioned but atmospheric. It creaks and groans here and there but works well. Great comfortable leather sofas in the two living rooms. In one living room (can be closed off with a door) there is a TV. There are many sitting and lounging chairs for outside (no garden cushions for them). Also many beautiful large trees, to enjoy. to be able to sit in the shade. Large movable parasol by the seating area outside at the dining area of the room. We have enjoyed the space above a lot, with the billiard table, table football, and especially the air hockey. On the balcony that adjoins this space, there is a wasp nest under the floorboards, this has been reported to the owner. In the garage below, there is a ping pong table with paddles and balls. Bring your own bed linen: there are two very large (lits-jumeaux) double beds (1 upstairs and 1 downstairs). Make sure to bring a wide elastic fitted sheet. There is a very large blanket/bedspread on these double beds. You can place your duvet cover on the mattress where you will lie down. That type of blanket/bedspread (neat and clean) will go over it. Upstairs, there are 3 more bedrooms, each with two single beds that can be pushed together if needed. Baneau (address) is somewhat remote. We did everything by car, except the walks from the house. In the area, there is plenty to see and do, such as: Lake Les Doyards in Vielsalm at 10 km (rowboat/water bike and a 2 km walk around the lake), Hotton Caves (35 km), Han Caves (63 km), Tourist tram of the Aisne (20 km), La Roche (30 km) with castle/fortress, Lake and dam of Lac et Barrage de Nisramont near La Roche, Adventure Valley Durbuy (great adventure park, we also kayaked twice on the Ourthe from there, highly recommended), Recreation center of Domaine de Palogne in Vieuxville (25-30 km, located between La Roche and Durbuy), there is also the castle of Logne, Bohon (2-3 km from Durbuy), War museums in Bastogne (40 km): Bastogne War Museum and 101st Airborne Museum and Bastogne War Rooms. Horse riding is probably in Vielsalm, at Salm Horse Team (17 km). We didn't get around to it, but had looked it up. Groceries are best at Aldi or Lidl... The Proxy Delhalze is very expensive. We can absolutely recommend this house and especially the fantastic location with plenty of land and in a beautiful environment.

The responsible very friendly Madam (73) was 5 minutes after our arrival at the house, perfect. But after touring the house, quickly walking through all the rooms, she had to go to another apartment in the neighborhood after 10 minutes where other people had arrived. So we knew only half of all the facilities and certainly not where the enormously complicated electrical cabinets were located in the house. Which already gave a first problem around 10 pm when all the electricity went out. We called them and she said it was because of the wind ?? She then explained by telephone where the fuse box was located. From the living room you overlook the valley with Baneux, from the kitchen and dining room to the beautiful garden at the back, and from our bedroom on a meadow with cows. Beautiful on all sides! The garden and the house are well maintained, it is a wonderfully quiet place, and the well-marked walks start within walking distance. We were pleasantly surprised with the playhouse and the sandpit in the garden, which were not mentioned. The sun loungers were lovely, the playroom nice, the good TV was very nice with all the sports on TV. The day before our arrival, the lightning struck, so that the hob showed cures. The house was fine with the navigation. Coordinating with the caretaker before our arrival (and the departure) was also very easy and quick. We arrived in a neat, very spacious house that is beautifully situated and actually has all the basic necessities. Kitchen is well equipped, although a sharp knife is recommended. Bed and bath linen must also be brought yourself, but there is plenty of washing up / cleaning equipment. Nearby is also a supermarket with enough supply. No problems with a stopping stop, the wifi also worked (largely) great, and we fired fires with pleasure. Heating was to regulate per room, and the beds were comfortable. We have had a wonderful week vacation in villa Baneux. We were warmly received by a dear Mrs. We were 7 adults and two small children. The house is beautifully situated atop a hill with a magnificent view over the valley, with beautiful views. From the living room you overlook the valley with Baneux, from the kitchen and dining room to the beautiful garden at the back, and from our bedroom on a meadow with cows. Beautiful on all sides! The garden and the house are well maintained, it is a wonderfully quiet place, and the well-marked walks start within walking distance. We were pleasantly surprised with the playhouse and the sandpit in the garden, which were not mentioned. The house was fine with the navigation. Coordinating with the caretaker before our arrival (and the departure) was also very easy and quick.
