The apartment is really fantastic. Spacious, comfortable, equipped with all conveniences, and a terrace where you can sit in the sun. The hostess gives you an immediate feeling of welcome and is very hospitable. From the cottage, you can head straight out for the walk along the Ninglispo, so no parking stress. It is truly a perfect base for hikes, bike rides, and other activities.

This is the 5th time we have been here. Very well maintained. However, we do notice that due to frequent use, among other things, the furniture, e.g. the sofa, is in need of replacement. It is gradually showing some wear. It is clean, but everything is small. Small table, small sofa, small side tables. We always bring a small table to work on the laptop. Good WiFi. Pleasant and discreet owners.

Friendly owner, warm welcome with a bottle of wine and Ardennes cheese. Stunning view. It gets dark early because the sun disappeared behind the mountain at 7:00 PM. Beautiful garden, nice terrace in the sun, and despite the cottage being adjacent to the owners' home, there is still a lot of privacy. Everything is spotless and extremely well-equipped. Gorgeous hiking trails nearby: Fonds de Quarreux (200 meters from the cottage) and Ninglinspo (2 km from the cottage). In short: highly recommended.

We were just fantastic on arrival there was a bottle of Leffe, cava and a block of tasty cheese ready, the sweet owner explained everything with a smile and the house had immediately won our heart. The owners give you complete privacy and are immediately on hand if you have any questions. In the area there are many things to do. In advance we were called by a friendly lady, giving them an explanation of how we could reach the cottage. On arrival there was a snack and juice that was delicious. Throughout the weekend we enjoyed the warm cottage and the beautiful nature. From the garden we went up the steep mountain which later had a beautiful view. All in all, really a love cocoon.

It is a lovely lodge in this beautiful cottage. The first few days we had rain. Fortunately, there was a fireplace where we could play some fun games. The owner of the cottage is super-friendly and gave us an extra night for the night because of the bad weather! We also enjoyed the beautiful view. From the window in the living room and bedroom you look straight into the forest. This cottage is a gem in the Ardennes.

We have been to Aywaille 6 to 10 June. It was a fantastic place just outside Aywaille and provided with everything you need. From toilet paper to decorations. And what we found very nice was the wood-burning stove broken. And then you have the area where you can walk so beautifully. And if you walk there with your backpack full of spheres and drink, you can walk, climb, descend all day without encountering anyone. Very cool. The weather was not great but we did not mind that much. The owners are very compassionate and would like to tell you where to eat and where you can find beautiful touristy places in the area. And ........ The owner himself catches the trout of the water the ambleve which runs for the house and maybe about a while of tasty salmon. And the nice thing is that he also divide it among his holidaymakers. So we could still have a good night at home. Super cool and definitely worth coming back. A big 10 from StroeFam Citizens

This cottage was exactly what we were looking for, quiet setting in a wooded area.We have spent the Pentecost weekend with Z 'n Drie (2 adults + baby). It was delicious. Even past the holiday home there are 2 hiking trails. On our walks we could spot reeën, birds of prey and a fox. Beautiful! For us an unforgettable midweek along the sunny days to 20 ° C. Arrival started quite well. Although we were too early we were warmly welcomed by Yee with Cava and Leffe (she had already seen us driving and called ourselves that we could do all we wanted). We have slept in many homes, caravans, mobile homes and hotels, but this house was really very complete, fully equipped and even stocked the cupboards. And everything is still very new and clean and very spacious. Beautiful surroundings, 2x deer had in the garden, 5 minutes walk from the river and perfect for biking and hiking. However, at a reasonable distance from shops, restaurants etc., but the spacious kitchen and bbq was present himself cooking very much. The weather did not cooperate but we have been able to walk for two days. We also went by train to Liege with its beautiful station and shopping mall. Unfortunately the museum was closed for a few weeks. Check-in was very pleasant. Very friendly owners. The cottage was spic and span clean. Really everything was provided from herbs to antifreeze for windshield (though you do not need it in the summer). The gas bottle for the BBQ was empty and within 5 minutes there was another new. Top! The walk Ninglinspo is very advisable. Starting is Sedoz (parking at the Auberge de Ninglinspo). Opposite the house is a nice river with rocks where you can spend your day. Big chance that I'll be back here again. Recommended!

We enjoyed our week's holiday in the Ardennes. Lovely house, everything is present and it is very clean. The setting is superb! You can make a lot of walks (walking maps available in the cottage). The Ninglispo hike is highly recommended! The walk near Spa Prommenade Hoëgne's pretty awesome. In Remouchamps, the caves and worth a day hatch is fun to do. We have done a beautiful kayak tour at Palogne. Nice to do! In the second world war there was much fighting in the Ardennes. We have visited this holiday Warmuseum in Bastogne and we went to the American cemetery near Huy, very impressive. The week went very quickly. We will definitely come back. Recommended!

The cottage is a wonderful base for hiking, the hostess is incredibly friendly, the walk to Linglinspo is only 2 km further, you really have to do it! Everything was frozen and full of ice,,, beautiful! Don't forget to wear good hiking shoes! Oh, and the coffee maker is a Senseo, which I think is nice to know in advance, so at least you have coffee in the morning.

Beautiful location in nature, with birds in the garden and the sound of the river across the street. Close to Aywaille for supermarkets and restaurants, and very close to the start of a beautiful hike along the Ninglinspo, as well as the 'grottes de Remouchamps'. The home itself was very clean, and had a comfortable wood pellet heater. We would have stayed for longer if we could, feeling at home instantly.

On arrival the owner was already waiting for us. As first she showed the house with everything where to find. It is a beautiful house, neat and all necessary things are present. The pallet stove makes the house warm during colder periods. Despite the fact that the house is attached to the house of the owners, you do not suffer from them. They leave you completely in your own. The area around the house is super nice! You can make beautiful walks. The cottage is close to the Ninglinspo hike so you can walk here and have no problems with parking (the walk here can also be via the river route recommended by the owner). Upon arrival we were kindly and attentively received by Pascale, the owner of the house. She lives with her husband and her black cat next to the holiday home. After an extensive tour we knew immediately that this would be a fun week. The reception by the Dutch-speaking owner Pascale was perfect. The cottage is in perfect condition and very clean. The house is really complete. I indicated that I liked to feed birds in the garden and even fat bulbs were in stock. Everywhere was thought of. We felt very welcome. The pallet stove made the house warm and cozy. The view from the garden was also very nice. We were there in autumn and then you see all those beautiful autumn colors of the trees on the hill. The house is quiet. Supermarkets nearby, such as Market (watch a lot of difference in prices between products) and the Aldi.Er is wifi in the cottage. But it is not as fast as we know in NL, so do not expect that you can stream Netflix or Ziggo Go.In the environment is to see and explore. Beautiful landscape, lots of forests and nature. Also recommended is the museum 101th airborne in Bastogne, very impressive. And of course the various caves.

The welcome was warm and pleasant. Even drinks and snacks were taken care of. The tour of the accommodation was careful and meaningful. The spacious accommodation has several rooms and also a terrace with unobstructed views of the surrounding nature. All in all very convenient to stay there for some time. The surrounding area also attracts many attractive towns and villages and special hiking trails. We were already shown during the tour on some fascinating walking routes in the immediate vicinity, which indeed proved to be very worthwhile to enter. The decor of room and kitchen was very complete. The bedroom was spacious and with plenty of closet space. However, the mattress and the cushions of the bed offered insufficient sleeping comfort. We assume that they will soon be replaced. That was also the only downside in this top-class accommodation.

Friendly reception. We had 15 minutes before arrival contact with the landlord and Mrs was already waiting for us.Als welcome was on the table a bottle of Leffe, a cheese and in the fridge a bottle of wine with bubbels.Mevrouw showed everything and gave explanation there where appropriate. The house in Quarreux, municipality of Aywaille, is a great house for 2 people. A beautiful spacious house, with lots of light and fully equipped. There is a beautiful terrace with table, chairs and even sun loungers and a BBQ. The garden around is also beautiful and spacious. Despite the fact that it is close to the Ambleve, the railway and the main road, you will not be bothered by this at all. The owners of the house live next door and are very sweet, caring people. In terms of location, it is perfect for all kinds of activities. Within walking distance of Ninglinspo, the mountain river where you can take beautiful walks, within cycling distance of the village of Aywaille for shops, restaurants and terraces, and also other nice places in the area. We enjoyed the lovely two-person cottage in Aywaille very much. The owner welcomed us warmly and the house looked neat and cozy. We received a welcome gift, walking and cycling routes. The house offers plenty of privacy and there was plenty to do in the area. We stayed 2 weeks. There is no washing machine, but the bed linen and towels provided were neatly washed for us after a week. This house is an absolute must for a great time in the Ardennes!

Stayed an extra long weekend at this fantastic property. Slept very well for 4 nights in a good bed with good mattress. A very dark and quiet bedroom. We had a very nice holiday home and very friendly lady, the reception was very good. Madam was waiting for us. In the fridge there was even a bottle of Cava and a large bottle of Leffe ready with fruit juice and a piece of cheese. That was already very good to start. To our surprise there was everything there from kitchen utensils to sleeping utensils and even in the bathroom everything we needed was present. We cycled and walked there every day. Even a very nice and quiet garden to to rest after the efforts made. We also got a shed for our bikes. Ms mentioned that the shed was very nice. I can only say congratulations to Carlos & Pascalle and thank you very much for the welcome and the pleasant conversations we had. We stayed there from 14 to 21 August 2020 and as soon as we got home we have already booked for 2021 from 13 to 20 August because we have a mission to come to Aywaille to that quiet town in Quarreux around this period. Have received a very warm welcome. The owner was already waiting for us outside on the street to explain how we could best get to the house. In the house there was a nice bottle of beer and a package of cheese ready, but the fridge there was also a nice surprise. Makes you feel welcome, very luxurious. The cottage is beautifully, practically and comfortably furnished and everything super neat and clean. The outside terrace is also very nice where you can sit sheltered from the wind. Although the house is against the house of the owners, you feel free and you have a lot of privacy. The area is beautiful. Beforehand we did not know exactly what time we would arrive, but after a quick phone call to the owner this was not a problem, since they themselves next to the house woont.Routeplanner led us a little further than the cottage was actually yet been ok! Nearby flows a river that you can hear murmuring quietly. Occasionally a train passing but that hardly comes (we heard it until the 4th day) .The hostess and Mr. are very friendly, on arrival there was a bottle of Cava and Leffe Blond on us to wachten.De kitchen equipped with everything you can think of (really everything). There is a warm stove in the living room to the whole house verwarmd.De bedroom has a nice big double bed which is very good (especially compared to most beds in hotels) Aywaille is 10 minutes away and spa 25, enough Tours available! I would definitely go again back over here in the summer!

Throughout the weekend we enjoyed the warm cottage and the beautiful nature. From the garden we went up the steep mountain which later had a beautiful view. All in all, really a love cocoon.

friendly and welcoming welcome by the owner (delicious that Leffe and that cheese, enjoyed), the cottage is perfectly kept and modern, so to be seen just built / renovated, all on it.On the neighborhood, right across from the Quarreux Fund , on the other side of the village, the Chefna opens into the Ambleve, along the Chefna a number of hiking trails, both for the trained walker and the "somewhat easier" category, from the top of the village also a number of trails, a few steep up the mountain, but also a little easier. Despite the weather forecast, the sun was still quite present, with the nice towns in the area and the many hiking possibilities we did not get bored
