If Halloween lover this was the perfect location to celebrate. Daytime view of a beautiful forest and "night the mysterious mist that rose from the river. Also an interesting bunch to make in fun walks. Through the forest streams also several streams and small rivers that spread a pleasant sound while walking. It Interior was very modern and fairly neutral. The only thing I regretted was that you could darken the bedrooms hard which resulted in early mornings! Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and a very warm welcome to the arrival!

We have our family had a nice weekend in this particular building. Our kids (10 and 7) feel like real knights. We're still working on a space with an (open) fireplace. This should make it compleet.De area is for walking and other activities. By car, it is a few minutes to Pepinster.

For a few days we felt like lord and lady of this beautiful residence. Fully equipped and with a very warm welcome, everyone is advised. We have not bothered to "evening to go out to eat, because the house is so cozy that cooking and eating together is a party.

The reception on arrival was very welcoming, it's a unique property and a very special experience. The modern interior is a contrast to the outside but neatly groomed. Because it is so 'n old building you need to be well aware that the areas are only accessible via narrow, steep spiral staircase, it has z "s charm but is definitely not for everyone. The toilet is located on the first floor as well as the TV while the living room on the ground floor which is very uncomfortable because for every drink or snack you have to descend again into the kitchen. The two bedrooms are beautiful and very ruim.Ook the surroundings are beautiful just a shame that there is a railway line right behind the house and rode a busy road you can not see but can hear, especially if you sit in the garden. Overall for the romantics among us a special experience.

Very nice experience to stay in a mini castle. Very neat and modern renovated. All you can expect a more luxurious cabin is present (such as complete set of dishes, dishwasher, bath, barbecue, excellent wifi). We found it clean and we were welcomed very friendly (dish local products and champagne were ready!). The only thing to note is that you do not bump your head on one of the many little steps. Auto stretch is advisable. Above all it is a unique stay, beautifully situated along the river, as the entrance to the estate (private road). We come back there is still one more time, I expect.

Nice, warm welcome and a basket of goodies was ready for us. The house is nice and fully equipped; sufficient seating, 2 excellent quality double beds, extensive kitchen inventory, bathroom with shower, separate room with bath, garden furniture and ample parking space. The estate on which the house stands is freely accessible for walks. Inside it is nicely decorated, there are also many lamps that give extra atmosphere. The heating is easy to operate and it quickly heats up everywhere.

Pepinster itself is a nice village with some reasonable places to eat. There are two large supermarkets. Of all the surrounding villages/towns, we liked Spa and Malmedy the most. It remains a somewhat poor region and that is reflected in the villages. People speak French, a few dare to speak English.

All in all a successful week and we are wonderfully rested!

Gites Les Mazures was a very imaginative place. A castle and spend the night there who wouldn't want that. It's a comfortable place, especially if you like walking stairs :-). Very atmospheric with an illuminated train passing by in the dark. That is absolutely not disturbing, rather appropriate to the darkness of December and January. Only the weather did not cooperate. Despite that, we had a great stay.

Very cool location! We did not see the host in the end, but we had very good contact via whatsapp. Everything was well organized and it was very funny to have to cross the road to go from one room to another. Please note that a surprising number of cars still cross the bridge… 1 time the headlights met us while crossing ;) The only pity was that in 2021 I could still book for 5 people (which unfortunately had to be canceled due to the flood), but according to Belvilla that was really no longer possible. Once on site, we saw that everything was equipped for 5 or even 6 (number of chairs, crockery, bedding, etc.). Would be nice cozy, but could have been fine.

What a surprising and beautiful stay! Beautifully located. Beautiful walks in the immediate vicinity. The residence looks neat! Well cared for and fully equipped. Highly recommended. Due to the unique character of the accommodation, you have to take many stairs into account, but that fits completely in the style of the building.

At the beginning of April we booked the house. On arrival we were informed that there is no wifi, after half an hour it was clear that there was no distribution at all (not possible to use TV and wifi internet). Before arrival we were told absolutely nothing about it, even though it clearly states in the description that everything was there. We immediately sent a message to the concierge if there are other options. She went to discuss it with the owner, of course we heard nothing more during the stay. We certainly understand the difficult circumstances around Pepinster, but I think informing us in advance is a small effort, so we could bring more board games and possibly DVD films from our home. I know quite a bit about distribution myself, there was no modem connected to the incoming distribution cable at all, so the problem was certainly clear. For us, advance notice and clear communication are very important.

very kindly received by the caretakers. Nice holiday residence. Everything was present as in a hotel. A lot of stairs which was not a problem for us but for people who have difficulty walking, a serious handicap, for example to go to the toilet (2 steps). Beautiful surroundings that unfortunately cannot be seen inside the gite (windows too high to see something while sitting). A lot of trains pass by, but that only gives some noise. The nature in the area is fantastic for walking and cycling.

We thank you for the beautiful and high quality furnished apartment and for the welcome pack. It is thought of everything, what you need on vacation! For us as a family with children it was an experience to visit here and to enjoy the view into the nature. Unfortunately we felt very disturbed by the through traffic. The owners and employees as well as delivery traffic, postmen ect. use the bridge entrance to the castle and this causes loud traffic noise. So rarely used can be no question! A relaxing afternoon on the terrace was never possible.

We have been in the May holiday in Mazures. What a wonderful place! The holiday is an experience in itself. Every time it was nice to arrive and see our little castle along the water. The children fully enjoyed the freedom and tranquility around the location and were happy to look out of the window of their attic room in the evenings to see if there were deer coming out of the woods.Pepinster is a great base to explore the area. the beautiful town of Spa, visited the caves of Remouchamps, the waterfalls of Coo and spent a day on the circuit of Spa-Francochamps, we would like to come back again.

The accommodation was an absolute highlight !! The landlord was very nice and helpful, although there were language barriers we could still understand. Would recommend it to anyone !!! The environment is also very nice, have found some hiking trails. A trip to Eupen is also recommended. Very quiet and top location. We felt very comfortable.

We were met by a charming gentleman, who showed us around and explained everything perfectly. A beautiful old castle, but modern and clean. Space enough! Just outside (through the gate) to the other living room you might see as a disadvantage, but we have not experienced that as such. Not even, as with us, when it freezes.

We were very kindly welcomed by a nice gentleman who could be quite understandable in Dutch. The accommodation is as nice as the pictures, it is nice and cozy and has two beautiful bathrooms. Unfortunately, we found that the TV is not downstairs and that you have to go outside with the wood stove. We had beautiful weather, but if it's cold, it's not that nice. The surroundings are very green, we could see the deer from our window. For sights, you need to get in the car.

The welcome was very friendly. These people do this with heart and soul and you notice that. Everything is there to start your holiday with coffee, tea, milk, ... there was even a basket of local produce. This holiday home is really fantastic and situated between Liège and Spa, this is a prime location. There is a lot to do nearby. Explore the region with a vespa, the blegny mine, the Francorchamps circuit, ... Also, a great walk in the castle's forest is worth the effort.

Check-in was excellent. The friendly owner had a welcome pack ready with some local delicacies. The accommodation was very good and very clean. The feeling of being lord is very nice. Our 3 year old son absolutely loved to sleep like a true knight in the tower. The environment is of course great with the nature of the Ardennes. Especially the waterfalls of Coo is a must to go, very suitable for children.

A stay at this unique building is a must! Firstly, you will receive excellent guest there is a gift set (bottle of wine, basket of local products) and the person responsible for the building, did her best to make the necessary explanation in Dutch. Everything is there for a successful stay. On arrival it looks magnificent. For the holiday a river and behind it a beautiful large estate with forests interspersed by fields where deer graze regularly. Bunnies hopping around all day, raptors hang up in the air, in the trees sounds all day joyful voice of the smaller birds, ducks fly back and forth across the river. The only minus is the railway and a fairly busy street which lie just to the field behind the entrance. We have never let us annoyed but you can not be next to see and whiz of the car "s site. Rail traffic was minimal. Inside the caretaker's house here is nothing of note. Suggest you see immediately that much time and energy will be little or nothing done in the maintenance of the domain but the level of the river. Invest here some time and place on a terrace next to the water. Reception was very jovial and you feel immediately welcome . For these people, the customer is king and no effort is too much. the house is well maintained and everything still smells new. Outside you will be thrown back a few centuries in time, with all its charms

Our children (8 to 9 years) were very much to their liking, they even wanted to stay longer. Both for a romantic weekend with z 'n two oras a family weekend getaway highly recommended. A perfect weekend away!
