At 6 PM, all the heaters turn off because they are on a timer, and this happens at temperatures of -6. It then becomes freezing cold in the non-insulated chalet. As an alternative, it is offered to heat with wood, which costs €10 per bag and is burned up after an hour! The owner confirmed that the heaters are on timers and turn off sooner than expected, but offered no other solution. It seems outdated to sit in freezing temperatures in the evening and morning. In the morning, the water is simply on the windows from the cold. There is an advertisement for a pool table. The pool table is very unstable (see attachment); this was reported on the day of arrival, after which they promised to send someone, but we are leaving for home tomorrow, so it is no longer useful. The same goes for the heating; this was reported but remained without consequence. Upon arrival, there was also a pinball machine present, but here too the owner had to apologize that it was unfortunately broken and that it is not easy to find a repairman. The kitchen is not equipped for multiple people (there are 2 pots available). The washing machine and dryer are in another chalet where it is freezing cold and where all other tenants from other properties on the estate can enter. An additional fee is required for the washing machine and dryer. Then you would expect that the laundry was done well (everything came out soaked) and after putting everything in the dryer (another €3 each time) nothing was dry. The terrace is not accessible because it is extremely slippery (flat boards covered with moss during the winter period). In the bedrooms and bathrooms, the heaters are on timers that run for a maximum of 2 hours, which means you have to get up every two hours to be able to use the bathroom in the morning. The outdoor lighting to get to the entrance does not work or is insufficient; this was also reported, and the owner was aware of it and will replace it in due time, but of course, we have no further interest in that. We have to use our cell phones to create light to reach the entrance door. We understand that this is a very lucrative business model to have tenants buy wood to avoid being cold, but we wish to emphasize that this is not the way to rent out a vacation home. The house is equipped with solar panels, and apparently everything is set up to not consume extra electricity, so I do not understand why an additional amount is being charged for electricity consumption. In winter, it is also completely unfeasible to leave people in the cold because the sun sets earlier.

What a beautiful and large holiday home. Had a wonderful stay. The house is located on the edge of a nice walking area. Fenced large garden which is great for the dog. Spacious private parking. Pool table, jacuzzi, and infrared sauna. This house is highly recommended, especially for dog owners.

Had a great weekend! Comfortable beds, good layout, plenty of "living" space, and enough to do to avoid boredom. We would really only change 2 things: one would be to have a separate toilet from the bathroom so that the extra room (4th room) without a bathroom can also use the toilet + it's more practical not to have to go through the bedroom. The second point is that the terrace outside really needs replacing! Many boards sagged and broke just from standing. Besides that: 10/10 accommodation.

We absolutely loved our stay in the chalet! The spacious living room was perfect for our family and the wood stove created a cozy atmosphere. We spent our days hiking around the High Fens and picnicking at Lake Bütgenbach, which was just a short walk away. Highly recommended!

What a fantastic place! The relaxation area was exactly what we needed after our hikes. The proximity to Reinhardstein Castle was a bonus. We explored the region a lot and loved every minute. Definitely a place to return to.

Everything was perfect. The house was clean and exactly matched the pictures, the landlady was very friendly and accommodating, and communication via telephone worked smoothly. We were here with 8 adults during the autumn holidays. Very nice, large and well located chalet. The living room in particular is impressively large, with a bar and billiards table, a very large sitting area with plenty of seats, a large dining table and a well-equipped kitchen. We only found that there were (too) few glasses, especially beer glasses were missing. Everything very clean and in good order! The location is great, close to Lake Bütgenbach, the hiking trails pass by the chalet. We were not bothered by the other chalets behind it, it is completely quiet. The only downside are the bedrooms and bathrooms: 2 of the 4 bedrooms are very small (you can hardly pass the bed). Both spacious and modern bathrooms are only accessible through one of the bedrooms. That is sometimes annoying, especially because there is no separate toilet in the chalet. Despite the latter, we would certainly go back.

Dear Belvilla, Location excellent. Near the lake. Specially booked for the sake of peace, jacuzzi and sauna and enclosed garden for the hond.Monday 6 Sept arrived. Roaring Stihl garden machines everywhere. It is the week of pruning at this small-scale holiday park. Yesterday, without consultation, the gardeners even entered the private protected area where the jacuzzi is located and where my wife was sunbathing monokini. They just started pruning around the chalet and in the courtyard on the terrain of our chalet, so for the 2nd day in a row (Tue Wed) we fled to other places. Apparently Belvilla is aware of the garden work according to 1 of the owners? You MUST notify me in advance. Then I would have canceled for free. Apparently it is the same period every year and the data should be blocked. The water in the jacuzzi is also completely out of order. We have test strips with us and the water is abominably bad in terms of ph and alkalinity, which is very unhealthy. The grass is also neatly 25 cm high because it has not been mowed for 6 weeks. Nice always wet feet. There is also mouse poison in the chalet .... where dogs are allowed. The first evening there was already a mouse in our shopping bag with food. The dog took it...not knowing if she was poisoned or not. This is unworthy of belvilla .... and I demand compensation !!!! We have 1 week of vacation per year as self-employed. You do the necessary. Otherwise I will.

The chalet for 8 people is set up nicely large with separate bedrooms, 2 of which share one shower / toilet room and one has a separate shower / toilet room. The 4th bedroom has no direct access to this space, but was equipped with a TV. The room with open kitchen, long dining table, 2 very large book bindings and a pool billiard, in the middle a fireplace. Large terrace attached to the room. Through a door at the bedrooms a small outdoor area with jacuzzi and sauna. A mountainous environment with forest and a lake. Many hiking trails and close to several villages. Walking route around the lake is 10 km.

What we experienced as a disadvantage was that it would be suitable for those seeking tranquility and that it is therefore not rented to groups of young people. It is not mentioned, however, that there are several tent camps on the lake of scouting and such and that they started several days a week or already at 8 o'clock in the morning with loud music that echoes your way across the lake or that around 14 was started such loud music non-stop until midnight 2.Not ideal for those seeking tranquility.

It is a beautiful house, fully equipped. Luxuriously finished with a huge spacious living room. Delicious! We slept with 8, and although the house allows it, I would not sleep with more than 6 adults myself. The last bedroom is quite small and has no direct connection to a bathroom / toilet, so you have to go through another's bedroom. The contact with the landlord went perfectly. The area is also very beautiful, relaxing. Walkers and cyclists can go out and about. In short, definitely recommended.

Nice house. On arrival we were able to enter immediately with the code. What a space! Delicious enjoyed the peace in and around the house. Nice spacious garden, which is well fenced, nice for our dog. The jaccuzie (larger and more beautiful than the photo) was also delicious. Down a small hill and you are at the lake, with a nice walking route. Very nice that there is a pool table (is not on the site). Nice owner who came by on arrival for an explanation of the important things in the house.
