The panoramic view over the Ourthe valley is missing. Perhaps this was once there, but there is now a high hedge around the shared house so that you have no view. We were misled by the text in the Belvilla advertisement. What we also didn't know is that the house is actually a semi-detached house with a 6-person half and a 4-person half of the house. During our long weekend, the other half of the house was not rented, so that was fine, but it was good to know this in advance. The house itself also has direct neighboring houses that are also frequently rented and can accommodate large groups, among other things. We did have noise pollution from a neighboring house with a student year club of 10 boys. In the evening, for example, she played loud music and you don't expect that in the middle of the Ardennes. The house was built by the owner with a lot of skill and love. It is soberly furnished, not luxurious, but everything you need for a few days' stay is there. There is no comfortable sofa, but there are enough chairs. Only single beds that are also solidly built. You can push them together, but there remains a hard wooden edge between the beds, so you cannot have a double bed. Saturday morning we had 2 gardeners who started pruning the hedge and mowing the grass with a lot of noise and motor mowers. This took a few hours. On Sunday morning around 10:00 am the neighbor started blowing his garden clean with a motor leaf blower. He wears hearing protectors himself, but he doesn't think about his neighbors at all. It's a shame, because once again the windows and doors are closed and sitting inside while the weather was nice. But I think we were just unlucky with these maintenance visits and it wasn't a party every morning. is. The surroundings are beautiful. We took beautiful day walks from the house to and along the Ourthe. There is no walking map in the house of the immediate area, but you can buy one at the tourist information center in the village

It turns out that there is also a 4-person apartment. The view from the 6-person apartment is not there, because there is a high hedge around it. The photo shown is the side of the 4 person apartment. In other words, the house shown has been divided and the description is incorrect. The furnishings are very dated and the picnic table and benches outside are almost falling apart due to misery. Wood is rotten. The photos on the site are of both apartments, but they are mixed up. So you can't see what is what. The plus point is that it was very neat. The owner is very friendly and regularly came by to, among other things, pick up the waste. to catch up and have a chat. Luckily we had good weather and were able to stay outside most of the time. The surroundings are very beautiful.

The photos accompanying the offer are deceptive. Both the description on the booking page of the Belvilla site and the description on the booking document do not correspond to the assigned holiday home. Belvilla is cheating, well covered by small letters. A legal procedure against the PO Box company Zurich is being considered.Carefree booking with Belvilla is an empty slogan.The holiday home that we move into is basic but immaculate, the welcome by the helpful Wendy is very warm.Beautiful environment.

We were 2 adults and 3 small children (9, 7 and 7 years). The house was clean, big enough and made so that everyone could sleep well without the people who did not have to go to bed, could continue to talk quietly and if you went to bed, no one woke up. Although we were stuck to another house, you did not hear those people and each house had its own large garden, where the children could run around well. The area was wonderfully quiet, lots of forests and mountains.
