A dream vacation in Norway – absolutely recommended! We were four for the first time in Norway and could not have wished for a better stay. The host Ruar welcomed us warmly, speaks German, and was always reachable. Particularly helpful was the detailed instruction on how to use the boat. The fisherman's house is located directly at the dock – with a large terrace, grilling options, and a fantastic view of the water. Bicycles and canoes were available for free. There was also a small shop with 24-hour access nearby, and the staff there was consistently friendly. The surroundings are simply impressive – pure nature, tranquility, and incredibly nice people. We lacked nothing. Thank you to Ruar for this unforgettable time – we will definitely come back! Recommendations: Canoe tours: Be sure to use the canoe provided for free by the host. The fjords and surrounding islands offer fantastic opportunities for exploring, fishing, and photography. Early in the morning, the water is often like a mirror – perfect for tours! Bike tours: With the provided bicycles, the surrounding villages and beautiful nature can be well explored. A bike tour along the coast is particularly worthwhile – with many photo stops! Hiking & nature: Bring hiking shoes! There are numerous well-marked hiking trails in the area. A tip: A tour to a viewpoint at sunset – the view of the fjords is simply magical. Fishing: Fishing from the boat was one of our highlights. The catch can be prepared directly on the grill on the terrace – it doesn't get fresher than that! Shopping: The small 24h shop nearby is super convenient for snacks, drinks, and essentials. For larger purchases, there is a supermarket in the next larger town – it's best to stop by there at the beginning of your stay.
