For ornithologists probably a paradise, as numerous gulls breed on the rooftops in colonies and are busy around the clock with raising and guarding their young until early summer. One must expect to find a cowpat of bird droppings on the car every day and have to clean it up. Buckets and rags can be found in the heating room. The nearest car wash can be found at the Schell gas station in Laboe. Recommendations: When it comes to restaurants and dining options, there is absolutely no shortage in the region. From personal experience, I can warmly recommend the “elMövenschiss” in the Olympic harbor of Schilksee. As well as the restaurants “Seestern” and “Blue Ocean” in Heiligenhafen. And “Das Kaiser” in Strande.

The location on the promenade of Marina Wentorf is great, first house towards Kieler Förde. The furnishings are modern, but somewhat dated. Dishes are sufficient, glasses rather sparse. A significant disadvantage: it constantly dripped onto our balcony on the 1st floor during rain, making it hardly possible to sit outside. Second disadvantage: two cooling containers stand directly in front of the house, belonging to the fish kiosk/fishing boat. The cooling system constantly kicks in, a disturbing noise. We found it a bit noisy at times due to the nearby construction site, but it was manageable.
