Beautiful holiday home, but somewhat dated. The floorboards of the veranda have protruding nails and are partly rotten, the interior furnishings are also outdated, but still very high quality. The dishes could use an upgrade - the handles are falling apart, the knives are dull, and some items are missing. The oven was okay, but needs some basic maintenance, as does the microwave. The outdoor lighting was permanently on and could not be turned off from the main house. The beds are rather worn than good, but sufficient. All in all quite okay, if you don't have a cleanliness obsession and don't expect the most modern. Recommendations: Ice cream parlor in front of the house is great. Kattegatcenter Grenaa is highly recommended. Randers shopping center was worth the trip. Aarhus has a nice old town but be careful when parking.

Recommendations: Fishmonger on the street near the holiday home, catches every day, you can see him coming back from fishing with his small boat from the house, very affordable, we paid about 10 euros for 4 large plaice. A visit to Bonnerup Strand with a harbor visit is worth it; there is a large fish shop with excellent specialties. Definitely try the fish cakes; they are warm and unbeatable, delicious and inexpensive.
