Description

Fort Soleil 34 is a charming house for 6 people, with a fenced garden and all comforts for a successful holiday. It is located in the middle of a bungalow park in Breskens (Province of Zeeland, Netherlands), only 500 m from the beach and just under 220 km from North Rhine-Westphalia. On the ground floor there are:
• the entrance hall with mirror, shoe rack and coat hooks;
• a WC;
• a fully equipped kitchen with gas stove, combination oven, dishwasher, 2 refrigerators, coffee machine, toaster, electric kettle, etc.;
• a spacious and bright living and dining room with television;
• a south-facing, fenced garden (approx. 8x8m) with awning, shed and garden furniture;
• a laundry room with washing machine, drying rack and a bicycle for adults. On the first floor:
• one room with a double bed;
• one room with two single beds;
• one room with a bunk bed;
• one high chair;
• one bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower and auxiliary toilet (with cutting mechanism and lifting system). Compared to the standard offer for this type of apartment (6 people) in the bungalow park, Fort Soleil 34 has important advantages: a good and stable KPN internet connection throughout the house; (in addition to the small standard refrigerator) a large refrigerator (essential for families!); and parking for TWO cars (practical for larger groups).

The holiday park also includes a playground, football field, indoor swimming pool, bicycle rental, and a supermarket is located nearby (800m). You must bring your own bed linen and towels. Smoking is prohibited in the house, pets are allowed (ground floor only). Rental by the week during high season, flexible periods outside the high season. Price between 240 EUR (weekend, low season) and 980 EUR (week, high season).

Cancellation terms:

The following cancellation policies apply under normal circumstances, but we are very concerned that our guests who need to cancel due to circumstances beyond their control do not incur any financial loss. Last summer, due to the special situation, we gave all our guests the opportunity to rebook free of charge, regardless of the cancellation date. If the coronavirus crisis persists, this will be handled the same way this year. Cancellation by the tenant: - If canceled up to one calendar month before the start of the rental, the deposit remains due. - If canceled after this date, the total amount (excluding deposit) is due, unless a new tenant can be found for the rental period or a part of it. In the latter case, 10% of the rental amount remains due for the relevant part of the rental period, regardless of the time of cancellation.

We 3 siblings had a wonderful time in your house, we lacked nothing. Everything needed for cooking was available.

Great holiday

The handling with the landlord was simply great and uncomplicated. The house itself was super clean and we lacked nothing. Everything you need for cooking was available. Even spices for cooking were there. The shopping options are within walking distance. The location in the park was excellent; you can reach the beach on foot in 7 minutes. And in the evening, it is very quiet. I can only recommend this accommodation. We will definitely book there again for our vacation.

Short vacation

The house is really super close to the beach. So far, everything was available. What was a bit uncomfortable was that it was a bit cold for us. We couldn't manage to activate the heating. The house itself was very cozy and the beds were very comfortable. We would love to come back for a long weekend.

Haben Sie daran gedacht, den Thermostat auf die gewünschte Temperatur zu bringen? Die Heizung wurde nämlich noch im Januar kontrolliert, und von unseren Wintergästen haben wir keine Problemmeldungen erhalten, aber wir gehen der Sache sofort noch einmal nach und sorgen dafür, dass sich unsere Gäste wohl und warm genug fühlen.

Holiday home with a feel-good factor? ☀️

We spent a week as a family of 4 plus a dog in the FS34, and we had a really nice time! The house was clean and had everything we needed in terms of equipment. The washing machine was worth its weight in gold for us with 2 small children. We will definitely come back for sure! The beach is not far and the ferry is also reachable within a 15-20 minute walk. The contact with the landlords was very nice from start to finish. All in all, definitely recommended.

Nice short vacation

The beautiful beaches of Breskens are easily accessible on foot, about a 15-minute walk away. The beach restaurants offer good quality at fair prices.

The holiday house is small but quite adequate for up to 6 people. A minor disadvantage is the very steep staircase to the first floor. However, with children aged 7 and 10, it was not a problem.

The garden is fenced, so you can safely let the dogs roam in the garden.

In February, it was very quiet in the holiday resort.

family vacation

Hello everyone, we spent our summer vacation there with 2 adults, 3 children, and our dogs. The house is very beautiful and located in a holiday park. In the park itself, there are playgrounds for children. The immediate proximity to the beach was our absolute highlight. Within a few minutes walk, you can reach the expansive beach, which also invites you to enjoy a delicious meal or cocktail at its beach pavilions. Unfortunately, new holiday homes were being built in the immediate neighborhood, and the construction site started the machines at 7 am during the week. But bad luck can happen anywhere.
Since the house already had 2 bicycles, we were able to rent bicycles in the village itself for the rest of the family, so we could explore the surroundings like the Bunker Park in Groede or Cadzand, as well as the other side of the Westerschelde with the help of the ferry.
The house has everything you need for self-catering. It would be nice to have a bit more storage space for laundry in the bedrooms. And in the kitchen, there are two refrigerators with a freezer compartment but unfortunately no oven. The existing furniture is older but okay.
The garden is completely fenced and has a small but beautiful terrace with matching garden furniture.
The contact with the landlords was very friendly from booking until departure.
We had a nice vacation and would definitely recommend the house.

Very beautiful accommodation.

We felt very comfortable in the house and generally in Zeeland. We went on vacation with a dog and a 9 month old baby and do not regret it for a second, everyone was very child-friendly and dog-friendly. We would come back anytime. The only drawback was that there was no travel cot for the child, but otherwise everything was great.

Written out more beautifully than it actually was

Unfortunately, the house was very dirty when we arrived. The garden, which looks like a dream in the photos, is actually a small rectangle, and the lawn is more weeds than beautiful. The furniture, especially the couch and bunk bed, smelled strongly of dog. Be aware that in the large double bed room, there is only one extra-large blanket. We would have liked to know this beforehand regarding the bedding. We especially missed storage options. There were no closets for clothes in the small rooms and no cupboards for food. Refrigerators were great. The furniture all rundown (drawers loose etc.)
Too bad about the money. But still had a nice week with the family.

es tut uns sehr leid. Wir waren selbst ebenfalls entsetzt über den Zustand, in dem wir unser eigenes Haus gestern bei unserer Ankunft vorgefunden haben. Wir waren ein paar Monate nicht mehr hier, und da hat sich offensichtlich einiges an Nachlässigkeit angestaut, vonseiten einiger Mieter und leider auch vonseiten der Reinigungs- und Gärtnereifirmen, mit denen wir vertraglich zusammenarbeiten. Wenn sich die Probleme nicht beheben lassen, suchen wir neue Vertragspartner. Auch werden unsere eigenen Ferien dazu nutzen, alles Beschädigte (und leider auch Verschwundene!) zu ersetzen. Christmas holiday 2021

Hello Bekaert-Geerts family,

we wish you a happy and healthy year 2022. We hope that you also started the new year well.
The 10 days in your house were wonderful, apart from the mixed weather and the construction site next door. Fortunately, there were no construction activities there over Christmas and New Year.
Your house really had everything one needs for household needs. Due to the bad weather, we would have liked more German TV programs. All in all, we and our two dogs enjoyed it very much. Since we have been going to Zealand for many years, we will definitely come back.

Thank you very much for the very pleasant communication before our holiday. PS: We felt very comfortable, and as always, such a holiday passes by too quickly.

Beautiful house with a secluded terrace and awning

We felt very comfortable at the house of the Bekaert-Geerts family. It is located in a small quiet holiday park, about 800 meters from the beach. The house is fully equipped, the second fridge is great, and super important for younger guests is the excellent Wi-Fi. The area is a paradise for cyclists, with 2 good bicycles provided for free use. Those without their own bikes can explore the surroundings with them. Beach, the Jumbo supermarket, and Breskens with its many restaurants and shopping options, all easily accessible by bike. We rarely had such a nice and friendly conversation as with the Bekaert-Geerts family. We spent two wonderful weeks here.
