The small village of Oldsum has managed to build a sustainable tourism. Some small cafes, restaurants and shops, many thatched farms. There's also a lot of art, culture and crafts - everything you need for a successful holiday is there. The cozy Frisian village was shaped by seafaring, whaling and agriculture. Frisian is spoken, the old captain's houses and flowering cottage gardens create a relaxed atmosphere. You will find peace and comfort and can really relax.

The semi-detached house in Oldsum met our needs. It was clean and well-equipped, with everything necessary for a comfortable stay. The location is quiet, which we appreciated after long days of exploring the island. The nearby Wyk beach was a nice place to relax, and the local restaurants offered decent meals. Although nothing really stood out, we generally had a pleasant experience.
