Corona Info: The house is detached and you occupy it alone, there is no unwanted contact with other guests. There are countless absolutely uncrowded excursion destinations within easy reach by bike or car.
We offer a very well and individually equipped holiday home from private family ownership in historical, East Frisian surroundings. You will live in the historic village of Woquard in the midst of an idyllic village. If you are looking for proximity to the tourist attractions of the fishing and spa town of Greetsiel, but prefer a quiet, cosy village location away from mass tourism and holiday home developments for living and relaxing, you have come to the right place. Our 'Old Village School' is situated in the middle of a south-facing garden in Woquard, the smallest village in Krummhörn. Built around 1900 and renovated in 2011, the school offers 90 sqm of space for 2-4 people - with a large living room with LCD TV, stove, hi-fi, library, dining area, full kitchen, daylight bathroom, 2 bedrooms, conservatory, terrace, garden shed, 2 bicycles and parking space. The house is also particularly suitable for families with children and senior citizens.
Please note that bookings with pets are not possible and that this is a pure non-smoking house.

The former village school is located in Woquard:
Woquard is the smallest village in the holiday community of Krummhörn-Greetsiel. However, due to its proximity to the municipal seat of Pewsum, all shopping facilities, pharmacy, doctor, pizzeria, ice cream parlour, restaurant and indoor swimming pool are within 1200m. In addition to the North Sea dyke, numerous interesting excursion destinations in the surrounding area are easily accessible by bike. The cycle paths start directly from the house.
Within a radius of 20 km there are countless sights and ferry connections to the islands. All ferry companies offer discounted day tickets, making a boat trip with a beach day unforgettable.

Cancellation terms:

Free cancellation possible up to 90 days before the arrival date.

Cancellation and Interruption of Stay: If the tenant cancels (terminates) the contract before the start of the rental period without naming a subtenant who enters into the contract under the same conditions, the following proportional rents are to be paid as compensation, taking into account the saved expenses (tourist tax, final cleaning): - Cancellation up to 90 days before the start of the rental period: 30% of the rental amount. - Cancellation later than 90 days before the start of the rental period: 100% of the rental amount. Nevertheless, the landlord will attempt to re-rent the property. If the tenant terminates the stay early, he remains obligated to pay the full rental price. Cancellations must be made in writing. The date the notice is received by the landlord is decisive. Corona Addendum: If travel bans are imposed at the vacation destination, the rent will be refunded.

Thanks to the good motorway connection via the A31 Greetsiel / Pewsum exit, the holiday home is very well connected and quickly accessible. If you would like to explore the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea and the holiday region of Krummhörn-Greetsiel, you are in exactly the right place in our comfortable, former village schoolhouse in the heart of the small village of Woquard, with a view of St. Mary's Church. Bicycle tours start directly at the house. With our guest card you get discounts all over East Frisia. All shopping facilities, ice cream parlour, pizzeria, restaurant are within a radius of 1200m, as well as playground, football field, horse farm with riding school in the immediate vicinity. Numerous cycling tours start directly at the holiday home, which lies directly on the Campen-Greetsiel cycle path. It is 4 km to the North Sea dike. Within a radius of 15 km there are countless excursion destinations, as well as ferry connections to the East Frisian Islands. A boat trip with a beach day to Borkum, Juist, Norderney or Baltrum is an experience for the whole family

House with charm

Small, charming house. But not suitable for people taller than 1.70 m and those with physical disabilities. Cleanliness has potential for improvement!! Very quiet location!!

Great accommodation - highly recommendable.

We had a nice New Year's Eve in the old village school. The cozy furnished house has everything for a relaxing vacation. Everything was spotlessly clean and well maintained, starting with the kitchen and electrical appliances, the bathroom and the beds...
We also liked the friendly contact with the landlords. Despite a last-minute booking, everything worked perfectly.
We will definitely come back again.

Holidays

We spent a relaxing week in a lovingly furnished holiday home. We didn't want for anything as everything is well equipped. It was like "coming home", only in a different place. We would love to come back, especially because it is a house where God lives in the apple tree.

All round great

For us it was 1 week in Woquard instead of rehab.
We also wanted to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary quietly.
We are very happy that we made this decision.
We were very pleased with the friendly furnished holiday cottage.
Despite the 'bad weather', we felt completely at home and the time was never long, thanks to the many entertainment options.
We used the fully equipped kitchen every day for our physical well-being.
On our special day, we went to Greetsiel for dinner in the 'Hohes Haus' and can also recommend that - as a tip by the way.
All in all, a successful week, thanks to the host family Wege-Heintke.

Urlaub zum Entspannen

In the historic "Old Village School," we (senior couple) were able to experience that there are still calm and cozy holiday homes. We were surprised by the very good and regionally adapted complete equipment with loving details and technical comfort. On the ground floor, the living spaces and the winter garden "Pirate's Nest" invite you to relax. Here, entertainment is provided for by TV, internet, and radios. In the fully equipped kitchen, every dish preparation and delicacy is successful. The upper floor, with two bedrooms, equipped with TV or TV with computer, offers all imaginable sleeping habits the corresponding space. In the middle of both rooms is the dressing room with a large wardrobe. In the secluded garden, a terrace invites you to breakfast with a melodious bird concert and a beach chair to dream. For those who wish to be more active, they can hop on the two bicycles provided free of charge and explore the easily reachable area with the help of tour suggestions provided by the landlord. We were very happy with everything and can only recommend the lovingly furnished holiday home. We will come back!

Relaxation and coziness

Beautiful and fully equipped holiday home with a garden where you feel right at home, very clean, quiet location in the middle of the village (including the ringing of church bells), friendly neighborhood, bakery, supermarket, and restaurants are quickly reachable on foot or by bike, ideal starting point for cycling tours, recommended for example the church tower tour through Krummhörn, very nice contact with the landlord, who gave us plenty of information and tips for activities in the area.
