Description

THE HOLIDAY APARTMENT -
was modernly renovated and completed at the end of June 2020. Only high-quality materials were used so that guests can feel comfortable. It is located on the upper floor of our old farmhouse, which was built around 1930. Up to 4 people can stay overnight in two beautifully furnished double rooms with box spring beds. In the bathroom there is a large shower with a rainforest showerhead, a toilet, and a washing machine. Additionally, there is a separate toilet in the apartment. The living and dining area are very spacious. Here you can relax comfortably from your hikes or city trips on a beautiful corner sofa. In the fully equipped kitchen, with a cooking island, brand-name appliances, coffee machine, SodaStream, and microwave, you can prepare delicious meals. The dining table is designed for 8 people, in case friends come to visit. All around a cozy holiday apartment to spend a relaxing vacation. On the terrace you can enjoy a coffee in comfort, or spend a fun barbecue evening with a cozy fire in our garden hut.

Location and surroundings of object

Our holiday apartment is located in the center of our small village Ried. It belongs to the 8 communities that make up the Kleine Wiesental. Away from large tourist crowds, you can go on beautiful hikes, e-bike tours, or other outdoor activities in our area. We are situated in the border triangle, from where you can drive to France or Switzerland by car in half an hour. The Feldberg and the Belchen are in the immediate vicinity, and it is also not far to Freiburg or the wine-growing region. Popular excursion destinations are the Europark - Rust, or the Hasenhorn Todtnau summer toboggan run, Steinwasenpark Oberried, the thermal bath in Badenweiler, the water paradise in Titisee-Neustadt. You could stroll in Freiburg, Basel, Lörrach, Strasbourg, Colmar, or Mulhouse. On 21.2.2026 the Scheibenfeuer will take place in Ried and on 15.3. or on 22.3. The Snowdrop Market will take place in 2026. The delicious Metzgete by the Ried Men's Choir will take place on 10/25/2026. The Mountain Advent on 12/5/2026.

The flat should be rented by at least 2 persons, if the number of persons is less, the rent increases to 50,-€,per night. Per person over 16 years a visitor's tax of 1,20€ is to be paid, between 6 and 16 years half.

Cancellation terms:

You will be refunded the booking amount minus the cancellation fee, if you cancel the booking at least 1 day before the planned check-in until 12 o’clock midday CET (Central European time). For cancellations which are made less than 1 day before check-in, the booking amount minus the price for the first night and the cancellation fee will be refunded.

additional information:

You can park your car directly in front of our house. And the hiking bus starts directly in front of the house - from mid-May - until the beginning of October.

Great holiday apartment with high relaxation value.

Dear Schneider Family,
Thank you very much for providing us with your top-equipped holiday apartment. We felt extremely comfortable and had a very good rest.
We lacked nothing!!! Really nothing!!! Feeling at home was not difficult at all.
You welcomed us kindly, and we felt welcome at all times.
The landscape is beautiful and just right for those seeking peace. In the hot temperatures, the washing machine was a blessing to be able to reuse hiking and cycling clothes in a timely manner.
All in all, we can highly recommend the vacation apartment!

Top Holiday Apartment

We were three guests at Brigitte and Volker's for a week.
The apartment is in impeccable condition, nothing is missing.
Very nice landlords, fulfillable wishes were implemented immediately.
I tend to be skeptical when there are only super reviews.
Here, however, they are more than justified!

Very beautiful holiday residence

We spent two weeks in July/August 2024 in the very clean and modern vacation apartment in Ried and felt very comfortable there. The landscape in Kleines Wiesental is beautiful and invites relaxation.
Brigitte and Volker are very warm hosts, very helpful, and they gave us many valuable tips for trips with the children; the shared barbecue evening with friends remains in our best memories. We have never encountered such high-quality furnishings in the bathrooms and the kitchen before. There was really nothing missing – simply great! The box spring beds invited us to sleep in longer – genius! The overall package is just right!
For excursions, a car is necessary, and it's highly recommended for hiking. With the kids, we visited the Europa-Park and the summer toboggan run in Todtnau.
Dear Brigitte, we sincerely thank you for your hospitality. We would be happy to come back!

FeWo Schneider Ried is a cozy vacation home in the heart of the Black Forest with a beautiful view.

The apartment is spacious, modern, fully furnished (as described), and very cozy.

Ried is a very small village in a beautiful location in the small Wiesental valley. Of course, you need a car. It's about a 20-minute drive to shopping/restaurants/train station of the Basel S-Bahn. You can reach Switzerland in 30 minutes and Alsace in 45 minutes. There are plenty of sights to see, from Lucerne to Strasbourg.

The hosts are very nice and accommodating.

It's also nice that there is plenty of space for bicycles, etc. in the directly adjacent barn (with charging facilities for e-bikes).

We felt very comfortable there.

The vacation rental from Brigitte and Volker is unbeatably beautiful!

The perfect place to relax.

Rarely have we recuperated as well as we did in this idyllic, somewhat secluded and very quiet marshland. The apartment is extremely spacious, both in terms of size and equipment. And Brigitte Schneider is so uncomplicated and helpful that we immediately felt a bit at home. The kitchen is perfectly equipped, but if you still want to eat out, you will find inns nearby with good and authentic Black Forest cuisine. We can highly recommend this vacation rental without any restrictions. Especially for people who enjoy hiking.

Beautiful holiday flat

We spent the turn of the year in the beautiful holiday flat and really liked it. The Schneider family is very nice and we immediately felt at home as holiday guests. We were thrilled by the high-quality furnishings, especially in the kitchen. The flat was also very clean. The location is idyllic and quiet and we were able to make some nice trips from there. Overall, it was a perfect stay and we can't think of anything that could be improved. We will be very happy to come back. :-)

We spent 10 days in September at the FEFO Schneider.
We liked it "very much"...

We will definitely be back

It was a great experience, although you have to be mobile, but the flat is beautiful, the furnishings are perfect, nothing is missing, from the kitchen to the bathroom just great.
The beds are like we are used to at home, box spring, with good mattresses and toppers. Comfortable sofa, large dining table, the kitchen furniture just brilliant and the landlords and the whole family just so!!!! I have already threatened above, we will be back.......

We definitely want to come back!

We spent a long weekend in beautiful Ried and were thrilled. The landscape is beautiful and perfect to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. We made great trips - Switzerland, France and the Feldberg are easy to reach. The holiday apartment is super equipped and of high quality. We slept wonderfully and felt completely comfortable. Brigitte and Volker are very nice hosts. They welcomed us warmly and we really enjoyed the evening together on the terrace. We are sure that we will come back and stay longer next time!

Perfect for relaxing

My friend and I stayed in the accommodation for a week. We didn't miss anything. The landlords are very nice and helpful. The apartment is in top condition. Clean, high-quality furnishings (the kitchen was better equipped than mine), lovingly furnished.
The accommodation is located in a small, quiet high-village. A car is required, but the area offers many opportunities (hiking, cycling, city tours, wellness).
We felt very comfortable and would love to come back.
