Description
Our holiday flat "Pferdestall" is at ground level, has slightly wider doors, no steps, no stairs, a flat shower without rim, and is therefore equally suitable for guests with or without wheelchairs. The entrance hallway is 3 x 3 metres. The living/bedroom is large (approx. 42 sqm), has a wooden beam ceiling, 4 beds, (2 of which are bunk beds) kitchen, seating area, dining set, cable TV. The total floor space of the flat, including bathroom and hallway, is approx. 60 sqm. You can get out of the car directly in front of the entrance door.
Equipment: Cable TV, radio, WLAN, coffee machine, freezer, Senseo, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave, as well as garden furniture and barbecue
On the farm is a playground with swing, slide and seesaw; domestic poultry and petting animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, cats, chickens, geese, ducks. Ponies for little horse lovers. Hiking with ponies on the reins through the fields by arrangement in the company of a knowledgeable person. In summer, the ponies are parked at the holiday home. Pony rides in the presence of a competent person by arrangement. In winter, the ponies are parked in our calf stable in Meerhausen, or in good weather in the calf pasture - the use of bicycles is free of charge. One go-kart per family is available free of charge. Children can move around freely and those who are no longer so mobile can also get around unhindered with a rollator or wheelchair.

"Meadows, forests, moor, and the North Sea coast in front of it .... ! - In the very northwest of Germany, the North Sea to the north, the Dutch border to the west, that is the peninsula of East Frisia, and in the middle of it you will find our little Brinkum. Man and nature have left their mark on the area in a special way. The first people settled here as early as the Neolithic Age
We are here in Brinkum in the green and flat East Frisia. As a cycling region with a well-developed network of cycle paths according to the junction system, you can enjoy your active holiday on our cycle routes. The recreation-seeker and families have a lot to discover. Hesel has the largest contiguous woodland area in East Frisia. Extensive walks/hikes in the forest or a visit to the former monastery (deserted site) serve to relax and for the little ones there is an adventure playground in the Heselr forest. Small highlights include the crank ferry (for pedestrians and cyclists), where you can ferry yourself from one bank to the other by hand. For motorists there is the "Pünte", the oldest inland ferry in northern Europe still operated by hand, where you can cross the river Jümme from May to Sep. The fully functional Dutch windmill in Holtland offers the possibility of a tour and a view from the mill gallery on Sundays from May to October in the mill café. A visit to the water park is also not to be missed; many exhibits and display boards provide information on all topics relating to drinking water as well as the history and technology of water supply. A small archaeological exhibition gives impressions of the early settlement, which goes back to the 13th century. In the shopping town of Leer (11 km) you can learn a lot about the culture and people of East Frisia in the local history museum and the tea museum. Also visit the museum harbour with historic ships and enjoy a harbour tour. Right next to the harbour is the historic old town of Leer and the Leer Miniaturland shows East Frisia, from the inland, coast and islands, all in miniature format on m².
During the year, there is a lot going on in and around the region: some highlights are the summer festival at Gut Stikelkamp, the harvest festival (Sept/Oct.) in Hesel, the largest fair, the Gallimarkt (mid-Oct.) and the tour skipper meeting in Leer, ship transfers of the luxury liners of the Meyer shipyard, Park der Gärten (Park of Gardens) for sightseeing and/or events, small museums here and there, etc. ....
