You'll feel right at home in the high-quality and tastefully furnished rooms. A spacious sun terrace with garden furniture and loungers invites you to relax under a parasol on warm days. Evenings are perfect for a cozy barbecue – and you should definitely try the delicious fresh fish from the Schaalsee fishery. Of course, you can also try your hand at fishing yourself. You're just 1,300 meters from Lake Schaalsee, where you'll find a boat rental and a lovely beach for swimming and bathing.
Zarrentin is considered the gateway to the Schaalsee Biosphere Reserve. In the town, you'll find various shops, restaurants, a lakeside promenade, and a beach.

Nearby activities: Besides swimming and fishing, there are many other leisure activities available. The Schaalsee Biosphere Reserve is a UNESCO-recognized destination, and nature lovers will find many rare animals and plants here, best discovered on hikes and bike tours. A designated network of over 180 kilometers of cycling and hiking trails leads you through pristine and unspoiled nature. The Schaalsee Biosphere Reserve lies directly on the former inner-German border. A circular hike across the Strangen peninsula and along the Kirchensee (Church Lake) impressively demonstrates how formerly populated areas and border fortifications have been and continue to be reclaimed by nature. The approximately 40-kilometer bike tour around the Schaalsee is also highly recommended.

We did not know in advance that our holiday home is located in a residential park. This was not apparent from the booking description. Should be improved. However, it was completely fine for us, as the houses are largely spaced apart. The holiday home is great. Well furnished and very clean. We could sit on the terrace most of the time and enjoy the good weather. The Italian restaurant directly at Schaalsee is excellent. We would rent this house again at any time.
