A lovely sun terrace with garden furniture and loungers invites you to relax under the parasol on warm days. In the evenings, the barbecue is fired up – and you should definitely try some delicious fresh fish from the Schaalsee fishery. Of course, you can also simply fish for your own fish. You're only 1,300 meters from the Schaalsee, where there is a boat rental and a beautiful lido for swimming and bathing.
In Zarrentin, you'll find various shops and restaurants, as well as a lakeside promenade and a lido. The former Cistercian monastery, of which the east wing is still preserved, is worth a visit.

Activities nearby: In addition to swimming and fishing, there are many other recreational opportunities here. The Schaalsee Biosphere Reserve is recognized by UNESCO, and nature lovers will encounter many rare animals and plants here, which are best discovered on hikes and bike tours. A designated network of cycling and hiking trails, more than 180 kilometers long, leads you through pure and unspoiled nature. The Schaalsee Biosphere Reserve lies directly on the former inner-German border. A circular hike across the Strangen Peninsula and past the Kirchensee lake impressively demonstrates how formerly populated areas and border fortifications have been and are being reclaimed by nature. The just over 40-kilometer bike tour around the Schaalsee lake is also very beautiful.

The house is located in a very beautiful and quiet holiday home complex. The house itself is nice and spacious. The bathrooms are nice. The open kitchen is bright and inviting. The kitchen equipment itself was okay, but not designed for a family with 3 children. Pasta for 5 people had to be cooked in 2 separate pots, and a whisk was also missing. But we were able to improvise. Cleanliness was okay, even though you could still find some dust bunnies here and there behind the door. Underground, however, were the beds. Worn out, stained, and partly already turned inside out, these mattresses had long passed their prime. When we brought this up, we were informed that they were aware of it and would like to replace the beds soon. Unfortunately, too late for our comfort. A pity, as the house itself is very, very beautiful and the contact with the landlords was also very friendly.

The charm of this holiday home is undeniable. The bright interiors and modern furniture made our stay pleasant. It is just a short walk to the lake, where we could swim and sunbathe. Highly recommended for families!

This place is a whole vibe! The sun terrace is perfect for chilling with friends, barbecue evenings? Yes please! The fresh fish from the local fishery tastes different.
