The cozy holiday home is located on the edge of a holiday home settlement in Schönhagen on a plot of 380 square meters. The property is surrounded on all sides with a hedge and completely fenced. At a distance of approx. 700 m you can reach the beach of Schönhagen on foot. The house has a fireplace and a sauna. The three bedrooms, each with a double bed, offer accommodation for a maximum of 6 people. There is a bathroom with a shower on each floor.

Location and surroundings of object
The Baltic Sea resort of Schönhagen is located between the cities of Eckernförde and Kappeln. The distance to Kappeln is about 12 km. There are all shops and a varied gastronomy. Schönhagen captivates with its sandy beach, which connects to the cliffs to the north and has a length of approx. 2 km. It is divided into a main beach, a dog beach and a nudist area. In the season, the beach is monitored by the DLRG.
The playground directly behind the beach with slide, climbing tower, carousel and cable car, a football and a beach volleyball court offer the kids space for exercise and an interesting change from everyday beach life.
There is also a café, bistro, snack bar and fish roll stand on the beach. And a small supermarket.

Schönhagen is an insider tip in the winter months, especially for surf fishing and spin fishing for sea trout. The nearby ports of Maasholm and Eckernförde offer boat trips for deep sea fishing. With a large kitchen and a separate freezer, the angler will find everything in our house that is needed to take care of the catch.

Perfect holiday home
What a perfect week: weather, accommodation, surroundings!
A thank you to the owners for the little surprise upon arrival.
The house itself is ultra-modern yet very cozy and lovingly furnished.
The amenities, regardless of the room, leave nothing to be desired, are of high quality, and in excellent condition.
We have been to several holiday homes...
but this borders on perfection. Even when the weather doesn't cooperate, everyone can easily pass the time. The house and the surroundings are suitable for couples as well as for families with children. We can recommend it without reservation.

Beautiful holiday home
We especially liked the fact that it was an enclosed property with a fence and bushes. This was ideal for our dog Chani and us. The layout of the rooms was very suitable for us 6 adults. The kitchen was also well laid out and had all the utensils we needed.
We will gladly come back again.

Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt
Very nice, modern holiday home!
The kitchen is well-equipped. Cutlery and crockery are plentiful so you can use the dishwasher. The interior style is super cozy, just like shown in the pictures on the internet. We were a couple and enjoyed using the sauna. The proximity to the nature reserve through the meadows to the beach is ideal for long walks with our dog. Shopping and restaurants are about a 10-minute drive away. Kappeln, located 6 km away, is not far. We enjoyed the 5 days at the Svala holiday home and would also recommend it to our friends.

Beautiful holiday in late autumn
We had a great holiday week in late autumn and felt very comfortable. The house is very comfortably furnished and lacks nothing. The nearby beach invites you to go for long walks. In the evening you can relax in the sauna.
The towns in the area are worth a visit. The Geltinger Birk nature reserve is also highly recommended.

Family summer vacation 2021 - we are coming back...
We are repeat offenders and have been spending our holidays in Schönhagen for 14 years. Once again, we spent our summer vacation in the Svala holiday home with our two children. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and received instructions as well as useful tips for activities and gastronomic recommendations. The holiday home is cozy, very clean, well-maintained, and excellently equipped. We truly lacked nothing. The house is located in a quiet area and has a fenced garden where the kids enjoyed playing. We could store our bikes in the small outbuilding (which also houses a washing machine and dryer). The beautiful sandy beach is only a few minutes' walk away. There is also a playground for the little ones and a soccer field and beach volleyball court for the adults. A small grocery store and bakery are also not far away. In Kappeln, there is a REWE and Aldi for larger shopping.
By the way, the landlords are very nice and make sure that their guests feel comfortable. Unfortunately, this year the sun umbrella stopped working. Although we could have done without the umbrella, a new one was delivered by express (!) so we could even test it extensively. We had another great family vacation and felt very comfortable in the vacation home. Actually, we shouldn't write so many good things about the vacation home, as otherwise the competition for booking times will only increase. But that's why the next vacation in the Svala holiday home is already firmly planned and booked!
