Our villa has 312 sqm of living space and offers a special ambience for a holiday, a golf holiday, a meeting with business friends or for that special occasion. In the approx.70 sqm living room with comfortable sofas, armchairs and a house bar, all in colonial style, you can relax. Next door is the dining room in the same style. In the country kitchen, the cook immediately feels at home. A cantilever staircase from the living room to the basement leads to the fireplace room, with rustic furnishings and a large tiled stove with a viewing window. In five bedrooms, 1 shower, 1 bath and 3 WCs, 2-7 people may feel comfortably accommodated. In the basement you will find the summer kitchen, from which you can access the 90 sqm terrace. The property is completely enclosed (fence, wall, 2 gates) and therefore ideal for guests with dogs.

The villa is located in a purely residential area on the local mountain Saxony. The "chocolate side" faces Saxony. In the 1900 sqm plot you are undisturbed because the two neighbouring houses are at a great distance and the terrace cannot be seen. The property is completely enclosed (fence, wall, gates). Baker, butcher and grocer are within walking distance (100m). From the property you have direct access to the forest. Sledding is already quite successful in the garden. If you want to walk your dog, you are right on a forest path. The Czech border is only 35 km away (petrol, cigarettes and spirits are cheap). Passau is only 40 km away and a day trip to Prague (200 km) is also possible. The glass road via Spiegelau (7km) starts here. Trips to the museum village at the Dreiburgensee, to the spa triangle Bad Füssing or to the western town Pullmann-City are highly recommended. The town of Grafenau has 9000 inhabitants and is the oldest town in the Bavarian Forest. As a climatic health resort, it has a beautiful spa park, an ice rink, the open-air swimming pool "Bärenwelle", etc. In the town you will find all shops for your daily needs. The TCG offers a large indoor tennis court. Not far from the Rosenau district is the 18-hole golf course of the "Golfclub am Nationalpark". Grafenau is the seat of the National Park Administration. The Bavarian National Park begins, so to speak, at the gates of the town of Grafenau.
Cross-country skiing
Grafenau, with the Nature Sports Centre at the National Park, is one of the most attractive winter sports resorts in the Bavarian Forest. The National Park Trail, Sun Trail and DSV Skitty World Nordic can all be found here. Classically groomed cross-country trails as well as skating trails from easy to medium difficulty on the Panorama, Steckenbach and Ilztalloipe round off the range of cross-country trails around Grafenau

Waldhäuser ski area at 1000m altitude at the foot of the Lusen (approx. 18 km),
Snowtopia Park Reichenberg, a fun park for snowboarding and freeskiing (approx. 9 km),

Nice surprise :)
We were with three generations (9 people) and a dog over Christmas in the Villa Grafenau. It was simply wonderful! The house is huge, there is a large, cozy living room for everyone. There are also enough places to retreat to if one wants some peace. Everything was lovingly decorated for Christmas, including a Christmas tree. Everything was super clean! The best part was that it snowed overnight, just in time for Christmas Eve. A perfectly successful short vacation :)

Great family vacation with dog
We were now here in the villa for the 2nd time and we were thrilled again! Family vacation with relatives is no problem here. Everyone has the opportunity to retreat, there is enough space so that even a large family can sit together, whether upstairs in the dining room, downstairs in the farmhouse parlor or on the terrace with a new pavilion. Very dog-friendly! Whether in the house or in the large and completely fenced garden, our dog and we felt very comfortable. The overall equipment leaves nothing to be desired and it is very clean!
We will definitely come back!

! Plenty of space, overwhelming equipment - completely satisfied!
We were able to spend an extended weekend in this great historic house. There was nothing that 4 adults, 2 teenagers, 2 children, and a dog missed. 2 kitchens are practical, and this solution is perfect for both warm and cold weather. The house is very clean, the beds, bedding, and towels are neat. The garden is huge, and the beautiful terrace rounds off the holiday atmosphere. The dark furniture in the living room may not be modern, but if you immerse yourself in the history of the house, you can only enjoy the whole atmosphere. People who were professional hosts used to live here. Everything is well thought out, and you feel welcome. The nice caretaker took excellent care of us.
The city of Grafenau offers many opportunities for discovery and relaxation for families, and the surrounding area is exciting for all ages.
We would love to come back!

We stayed in the accommodation with 9 people. Very clean, a lot of space. If you are self-catering, the kitchen offers plenty of space. Really everything you need is there. We felt very comfortable. Many thanks to the landlord.

It was again very nice in the spacious, open and clean Villa Grafenau. Nothing is missing
Arriving, feeling good and holidaying is possible here
Everything is within walking distance, e.g. Rewe, market, ice-cream parlour, pizzeria etc.
The landlords are very nice
