Hofgut Koryto – Retreat in the Bohemian Forest
At around 900 meters altitude, Hofgut Koryto lies quietly and secluded, surrounded by meadows and forests of the Bohemian Forest. The historic estate has been carefully restored over many years and combines its original character with contemporary comfort.
On around 300 m², the house with five bedrooms offers space for up to 10 guests and plenty of room for shared days with family and friends. The centerpiece is the former cowshed with a historic vaulted ceiling, walls up to one and a half meters thick, and a wood-burning stove. Here, the spacious kitchen, the dining area with a long wooden table, and the living area flow into one another.
Around the house, three hectares of meadows and nature belong to the estate. Two terraces, a fire pit, and a private soccer field offer plenty of space outdoors. Hikes and bike tours start right at the doorstep, and in autumn the mushroom forests are right next door. A spacious, quiet place with history and character – for all who appreciate nature, seclusion, and living together in a special house.

Location in the Bohemian Forest:
The estate is situated at around 900 meters altitude in the small hamlet of Koryto, directly on the Bohemian Forest and near the Šumava/Bavarian Forest National Park. Meadows and extensive forests characterize the sparsely populated landscape around the historic site.
Hikes, walks, and bike tours start directly at the estate. The Bohemian Forest, with its woods, raised bogs, and the young Vltava, can be explored from here on foot or by bike. The nearest train station is six kilometers away in Zbytiny.
For shopping and restaurants, Prachatice is quickly accessible at around 19 kilometers away. The historic towns of Český Krumlov (Krumau) and České Budějovice (Budweis) are also excellent for day trips.
Koryto combines the peace and seclusion of the Bohemian Forest with the culture and historic sites of South Bohemia.

Cancellation terms:
The guest is entitled to withdraw from the contract before the start of the rental period. Withdrawal is free of charge up to 30 days before arrival. Up to 14 days before arrival, the cancellation fee is 10 percent of the rental price. After that, it's 90 percent of the rental price. If the guest provides a replacement tenant who takes over the vacation apartment Hofgut Koryto as booked, the cancellation fees are waived. It is advisable to take out travel cancellation insurance.

Generous accommodation in a quiet location
We felt completely comfortable in the holiday apartment. The hosts were very nice, warm, and helpful. The accommodation is spacious, cozy, and offers plenty of space. Due to the very quiet location, we were able to relax and unwind wonderfully during our vacation. We would love to come back!

Wonderful house with soul and the most beautiful nature around it.
Our time at Hofgut Koryto was something very special. We were 12 people between 2 years and 84 years old and lived together for two weeks in this wonderful house. Cooking, reading, playing football on the in-house football field, sitting by the stove in the evenings, enjoying the great, healthy air and the unobstructed view of the forest and nature... that is Koryto. The dead-end village has hardly any traffic, the children can move freely, it is wonderfully quiet, and the large meadow in front of the house inspires yoga, reading, evening fires, making music, playing... the best conditions for having a real quality time with oneself and all the housemates. The house offers a wonderful setting for togetherness, and at the same time, one can find beautiful corners and spots to retreat to for valuable me time. In the area, there are cultural treasures (Pracatice, Krumau, Zlata Koruna, Vyssi Brod), the Bohemian cuisine is a poem, and nature, the Bohemian forest is good for body and soul.
The estate is wonderfully furnished, stylish and at the same time so cozy and homely that we all felt comfortable immediately. The hosts are friendly, humorous, and such warm-hearted people, and always super reachable. What can I say: this place is an absolute recommendation. With heavy hearts we have left and hope for a reunion.

In the middle of the green
Great location at the edge of the forest. The lovingly restored estate offers plenty of space inside and out. On the huge property, we could even practice archery with our own equipment. Right from the house, there are many opportunities for hiking and cycling. Kind and very helpful landlords. The nine of us felt very comfortable and hope to return soon.

A place to feel good
We (2 families with children) spent the New Year at the idyllic estate of the Jägerhuber family in Koryto. The accommodation is stylishly furnished with a lot of love, and you immediately feel at home. A true gem. The amenities are excellent; you really lack for nothing. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. We had a great time, thank you!
