The all-around worry-free package

This spotless house is located in a quiet cul-de-sac on the outskirts of Krnica. It is cozily furnished and leaves nothing to be desired. It is a very well-maintained property, where one can see and feel the attention to detail and the desire for holidaymakers to feel comfortable. There is plenty of informational material available, whether you want to go on excursions or enjoy good food. The latter is very possible in Krnica, with two pizzerias and a konoba located there. We can recommend all three venues. To get to the beach, you need a car, which was not a problem for us. Our favorite bays are Duga Uvala and Luka Beach. The pictures on the website show the entire property in great detail and correspond exactly to the accommodation we found. The heated pool is the icing on the cake; we also really liked that all windows and doors are equipped with mosquito nets. All in all, a 1-star experience, we would love to come back.

We will come again.

Our stay in the holiday home in Croatia from September 2nd to 13th was simply fantastic! The house was very cozy and family-friendly – everything one needs in everyday life was available. We especially loved the clean pool and the nice gas grill, which allowed us to have many pleasant evenings. The location in Krnica was ideal for exploring the surrounding area by car. Rosi and her son, our contacts on site, were incredibly nice and helpful. The contact with the landlords via SMS was also very pleasant, and we received great tips for excursion destinations in advance. The only downside was the many wasps at the pool, but that didn’t really spoil our wonderful holiday. We would definitely come back!

Vacation with children

We can highly recommend the house; we felt at home, and everything we needed was there. The pool is well maintained (twice a week), and the house was very clean. We also liked the terrace, especially the ability to create shade from all sides as needed, so we could sit outside even at noon. The owners communicate quickly and are very helpful. We also greatly appreciated the mosquito nets. Thank you for a wonderful week!

Ein perfekter Urlaub

Even before our trip to the holiday home Elmaso, we were informed by the very friendly landlord about arrival, the holiday home, beaches, and sights! Upon arrival, a very helpful caretaker and an inviting house awaited us! Very clean, equipped with everything a house can offer. Lovingly furnished, each of the three bedrooms with a balcony! All windows and doors were equipped with good insect screens, very, very useful! The heated, clean pool invited us to swim! Kitchen and grill equipped with everything! We will definitely come back!

Super personal house / great location

We had two wonderful weeks in this very personally furnished, fully equipped, and clean holiday home in August 2023. We didn't miss anything.
The terrace scores with many seating and lounging options. Shade is always provided by the covered terrace and umbrellas. The high-quality gas grill provided us with some delicious meals.
There is also no lack of cosiness in the house. We were able to enjoy the house for four people, but even for six people, there is enough space with the two modern bathrooms, the guest toilet on the ground floor, and the large dining table.
The kitchen also didn't lack equipment, utensils, and some spices, vinegar, and oil, as well as a starter pack of tea and coffee.
Fly screens are everywhere in the house and they fulfill their purpose.
The pool is great! Our daughters (8 and 10 years old) were happy that it was deep enough. That was the question that concerned them the most before arrival. Actually, we wanted to measure the depth and write it in the review, but we had nothing to measure with. Therefore, here is our imprecise indication of the depth ;-) our eldest daughter is just under 1.50 m and could just stand.
The pool was cleaned once a week by the caretaker family, who also gave us tips on bathing possibilities in the area. These can be reached quickly by car.
In the village, there are three restaurants and a bakery, which we can all recommend without exception.

Well suited also in the off-season

We (5 seniors) spent great days in Villa ELMASO from 29.9. to 6.10.22.

What is immediately noticeable is that the owners / landlords have designed it so lovingly that you immediately feel at home and this has succeeded without a doubt.

The very clean and comfortably equipped house has enough space, a beautiful garden and everything you need to spend a relaxing holiday
Although it was already the beginning of October, we spent many sunny hours on the terrace and were able to swim in the pool (unusual for this time of year).

The quiet location of the house is excellent, you can walk to the restaurants and the small supermarket in the village in a few minutes and you have a central starting point to discover Istria.

You can make trips to Rovinj, to the truffle town of Motovun, to Pula with its amphitheatre and the beautiful cosy old town/restaurants and several beaches and small bays for hiking can be reached quickly by car

Villa ELMASO is very suitable and well known for families in summer due to the location, the facilities and the pool.
In the off-season, however, it is an absolute insider tip for older people to enjoy eventful and relaxed days in great surroundings. We will gladly come back.

Great holiday home without handicaps

We immediately felt at home and completely comfortable. The house is lovingly designed and comfortably equipped. The kitchen has everything for cooking and baking, the herb garden is unique and we helped ourselves to plenty. We can also recommend the local restaurants, which are within walking distance. Great, quiet beaches can be reached quickly by car, and the large private pool invites you to relax

A nice first acquaintance with Croatia in a great house

We spent time in Croatia for the first time and ended up at Villa Elmaso in Krnica during our search. The house is quietly located on the eastern edge of the village and everything is within walking distance. There is a small supermarket, bakery and three restaurants.


The house was as promised: The rooms are modern and solidly furnished. On the ground floor is an open living, dining and kitchen area. From there you can access the large, covered terrace with another dining table. The pool is located on the gable side and enjoys sun practically all day. With the many sunbeds and parasols, you can always find a shady spot. The pool is suitable for swimmers and always clean. The filter system does a good job

On the upper floor there are three spacious bedrooms. Each has access to a balcony and air conditioning. All windows and balcony/patio doors have insect screens and shutters for darkening. Two modern and large bathrooms are also there. One is accessible from one of the bedrooms and is suitable as a parents' bedroom and bathroom or for accompanying grandparents/adults.

The technical equipment of the house is good. The kitchen is functional and there is a very good gas barbecue on the terrace. Only the coffee machine required patience. The washing machine is also in the guest toilet. There are large televisions in both the living room and the master bedroom. The reception of German channels is very good. Internet access is somewhat difficult in the area, as it is only available via mobile phone.

Our hosts took care of it very well from a distance. Beforehand, they gave us useful tips for beaches or restaurants in the best sense. In between they inquired about our well-being. All communication was very friendly and helpful. The contact persons on site were also very reliable and nice. A big thank you to all of them!

Luxury meets scenic idyll

We spent the autumn holidays in Elmaso and were absolutely thrilled.
From the morning - when we could marvel at an incredible sunrise every day - to the evening, when we could listen to the concerts of the crickets.

The house Elmaso with pool and garden is a dream! Three bright bedrooms (so that everyone can retreat sometimes) and on the ground floor a spacious, open kitchen and a cosy living room with fireplace.
But most of the time you are outside on the sun loungers, in the hammock or in the lounge
We admired the illuminated pool every evening, but it was too cool to swim in mid-October :-)
We really found everything we needed in the house. And the small village supermarket was only a 5-minute walk away.

To reach all the incredibly beautiful corners of Istria, a car/rental car is recommended (it was very cheap and we took it over directly at Pula airport)
Our absolute insider tip for swimming, hiking and marvelling is the "sinken boat" near Rakalj. Once you're there, it's not far to paradise
Everywhere in Istria, be it in Rovinj, in Medulin or in Rakalj, we were served delicious fresh fish and were completely enchanted after two weeks.

Beautiful holiday home

A very beautiful and lovingly furnished holiday home to feel good in. Everything you need is available in the kitchen: from dish towels, washing-up liquid and dishwasher tablets to coffee filters (even the garlic press is not missing). Modern bathroom with ground-level shower, bidet and hairdryer. We especially liked the fact that there is a fly screen on every window and door. There is an air conditioner in the living/dining area and in each bedroom, but we did not need it as there are shutters on every window (and door). The landlords and the managing family are very nice, the great pool was regularly cleaned very conscientiously. The location of the house is excellent. Several beaches and small bays can be reached in 5 - 10 minutes by car, 3 restaurants (all recommended) are within walking distance and easy to reach. The holiday home is absolutely recommendable.

There would be much to write about how I / we come to our evaluation. Three points are exemplary: 1. Extremely nice contact with the owner, who provided us with all important information in advance. 2. The house is very nicely furnished, so you feel comfortable right away. What must not be missing: air-conditioned rooms and insect screens on the windows. The highlight - especially for children - the pool. This is also cleaned regularly. 3. A local family provides on-site assistance, reacting promptly to any questions or needs. The location itself is very small, with 3 restaurants, a small supermarket, a post office, a bakery, and a tourist office. There is a lot to explore in the surrounding area. Recommended trips include visits to Pula, Rovinj, Poreč, and the Brijuni National Park. The nearby beach of "Duga Uvala" is worth mentioning as an example. Istria is generally very green and therefore ideal for cyclists. So, if you are looking for a top accommodation in a quiet location away from everyday stress, and at the same time willing to explore a rich nature and many beautiful (including historical) cities, this is the place for you. By the way: The village of Krnica also has a winery where you can buy various wines. We would like to thank the hosts once again for a completely successful holiday in their Villa ELMASO. Top holiday house in a dreamlike and quiet location

We were able to spend 2 wonderful weeks in this beautiful house: very cozy and tasteful furnishings, very spacious layout, dreamlike and very peaceful surroundings. The pool was a hit not only for our children! We spent the evenings on the cozy terrace. And Krnica has retained its Istrian charm, the restaurants were absolutely top-notch and the baker and supermarket are really great. Not to forget the very nice and helpful landlords! Top-equipped villa with a fantastic herb garden

We had a very successful stay at Villa Elmaso. The equipment is really top-notch - from washing and dishwasher to a grill and bread boxes for day trips, as well as a bookshelf, everything was available that we could have wished for. Our special highlight was the herb garden! The villa is very modernly furnished (as shown in the pictures), very well-maintained, and clean. A car is essential for the stay, but everything in the village itself is within walking distance. Our only issue was the direct view of the pool area by neighbors and pedestrians. It must be said, however, that the villa is located on the edge of the village and not on a busy street. We were especially pleased with the attentions upon our arrival. The owners as well as the landlords were always available to us in case of questions. Thank you for this great holiday!

Super great accommodation

We - a family with 3 children - were able to spend 2 weeks of summer vacation in this fantastic holiday home. The house is lovingly and modernly furnished, offering enough space for up to 6 people. One could write so much about the house - however, the very detailed description and the photos have already said everything. The bathrooms, the kitchen... - the whole house is simply top. The air-conditioned bedrooms guarantee a restful sleep - even on hot days. The private pool was, of course, the highlight for the children. The very beautiful and perfectly equipped holiday home significantly contributed to making it the most beautiful and relaxing holiday we have ever had. The on-site management family is available by phone at all times and immediately helps with any problems. In addition, they come by every 3-4 days, clean, and check the pool. The location of the house is very peaceful, yet you can reach the town on foot in a few minutes or the sea by car in a couple of minutes. You can completely avoid the tourist hustle and bustle, but you can also reach Pula in about 20 minutes or Rovinj in about 40 minutes.

The landlords are super friendly - we thank them for the great, very pleasant contact and would be very happy if we had the opportunity for such a great vacation again. Very dear greetings from Mainz.

Traumhafter Familienurlaub

The house is modernly furnished and always clean and tidy! Guaranteed fun in the private pool area for the whole family. We were 4 adults and 2 children and had plenty of space.
We can also recommend the restaurant within walking distance.
