Description
Very quietly situated holiday home on a large, fenced and secluded plot at Krakow Lake. The property is enclosed by hedges and trees and is secluded
The bathing beach is about 150 metres away on a private lake property, to which only the tenants and some neighbours have access. In addition to the bathing jetty, there are two jetties from which fishing is possible. (rowing boat available).
The house has four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The centre of the house is the large living room with access to the kitchen. In total, there is about 70 square metres of living space
The kitchen is equipped with a cooker with oven, dishwasher and refrigerator with freezer
In the living room there is a large dining area, as well as a sofa set with TV. The fireplace makes it especially cosy. Two bedrooms are equipped with double beds. The other two bedrooms have bunk beds.
In the boat shed, the guest will find garden furniture, barbecue and garden loungers. The entrance to the house is on the large south-facing terrace. The garden consists mostly of lawn and individual trees. Currants, raspberries, cherries and other edible berries grow all over the property.
If you arrive with only two guests, there is plenty of space in the house. In principle, the holiday home is also suitable for two families or a larger group because of the four bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Due to the abundance of fish, Lake Krakow is very popular among anglers. The predominant fish stock consists of perch, eel, pike, roach, rudd, lead and catfish. There are numerous excursion possibilities, such as the historic towns (Güstrow, Rostock, Anklam, Stralsund, Schwerin or Wismar) or the Baltic Sea spas (Heiligendamm, Külungsborn or Warnemünde)

Beautiful large bungalow with a big garden.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The three of us had a great time with our 2 dogs. The enclosed garden was particularly beautiful. The cottage had everything we needed for a week's vacation. Unfortunately, there are few dog walking paths in Seegrube and many private lake accesses. The neighbors also loudly defended their private lake accesses. Dogs are not allowed at the lake access point (200m away) near the cottage. Even though our dogs are not swimming dogs, we were asked to leave with them right away. That was annoying. Nevertheless, we often went to the lake pier with our dogs on a leash. The large garden and the tranquility in front of the bungalow were the most beautiful aspects for all of us. Thank you.

Once again a big thank you for the wonderful summer holiday 2020 in complicated times.
We have already booked for 2021. We are looking forward to the sun, the water and the peace and quiet. We didn't miss anything in terms of facilities. The fact that the bedrooms and bathrooms are not very big did not bother us. We were outside most of the time anyway. The house was left clean and tidy. There was nothing to complain about. Suggestion for improvement: Perhaps a few more up-to-date tips for excursions.

Everything is great
In October, we went fishing at Lake Krakow with four friends. We really liked the house because of its quiet location and four bedrooms. The fireplace made it cozy on cold evenings.
We had the lake to ourselves for fishing, unlike other waters near the Müritz. We had a lot of success from the jetty on two days. It took us a bit to figure out where it was worth it with the boat (we rented a motor). It's just a huge lake.
We especially liked the peace and solitude. We had the part of the lake and the place almost to ourselves.
The handling was absolutely smooth and uncomplicated.
To mention as negative points would be the slightly small bathrooms and that we ran out of firewood. (Supply arrived only after two days).

Ist leider unser Eindruck
The property is a renovated GDR bungalow in an allotment garden with a lawn, a few bushes, and a rampant hedge. Coffee machine, portable children's sandbox, and toaster remind of bulky waste, some mattresses as well. Upholstered furniture is unacceptable. A "lake house" would be better with a larger bungalow near the lake. Accommodating 8 people is at best possible in summer. The distance to the beach is 200m (not 100) and the area is managed by a community of interest, so the beach and boat docks are controlled. Therefore, the area is closed and the boat dock is separately secured. The boat is barely usable with its included paddles, however, there is a brand-new motor available for an additional fee of 70 per week, ideal for anglers and moderate swimmers. The property was still clean and tidy, and even garden furniture was invested in, although the old ones still dominate the picture. Wifi would also need to be mentioned, the kitchen equipment is sufficient. Attention anglers! The lake has been fished out by the respective owners in terms of fishing, so to speak marketed and allegedly no longer maintained. In addition, cormorants catch what is left over. There are various contributions on the internet, e.g. An angling trip of the Krakow Fishing Club in 2016 and various posts in anglers' forums but the issue of black birds is very revealing. The lake, or rather the stock, needs time to regenerate and the water quality is no longer the same. The lake is not self-sustaining; it needs people to keep an eye on it, especially for tourism. No one likes to pay 40€ to fish in a nicely located bathtub. Good research and talking to locals can prevent unrealistic expectations and wasted money.
My personal opinion should not deter anyone from pursuing their goals, as hope dies last. Good luck!

We would love to come back next year.
Thank you for the lovely fishing holiday in autumn, even though we didn't catch much. We enjoyed the peace and the lake. Superbly located house. Friendly service.
