Description
The holiday home is ideally located for your complete relaxation, quietly situated on a cul-de-sac with no through traffic. The Timmler Meer, the bathing beach, the separate dog beach, the beach café, and the local gastronomy (snack bar and a restaurant) are all just a maximum of 5 minutes away on foot.
In Timmel itself, there are, among other things, a supermarket (Edeka), an ATM, and restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
Available dates are currently open and can be viewed in the occupancy calendar. Unfortunately, due to allergies, we cannot welcome pets.
We enjoy being up here in Timmel/East Frisia at least as much as , and that’s why we have furnished our holiday home Meerzeit here in Timmel so cozily and comfortably that we can always feel as comfortable and at home as we do in our own house.
Among other things, you can look forward to a boat, a fireplace (wood-burning stove), a private dock on the canal with direct access to the Timmeler Meer, and much, much more. . .
. . . and of course Wi-Fi is also available for you! ! ! The following amenities await you in 85 sqm and in a large living and dining area, an open kitchen, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms:

High season
If you are staying in the high season from 01. 04. until 31. 10. or during the Christmas holidays, if you would like to rent the holiday house Meerzeit, the overnight stay will cost you 80 €.
From 01. 04. 2027, the cost for an overnight stay in the high season will increase to 90 €, as we have to adjust the rental price to the increased basic expenses.
Low season
If you would like to rent the holiday house Meerzeit from 01. 11. until 31. 03. and not during the Christmas holidays, the overnight stay will cost you 70 €.
From 01. 11. In 2026, the cost for an overnight stay in the off-season will increase to €75, as we need to adjust the rental price to the increased basic expenses.
Arrival and departure as well as number of overnight stays
The arrival and departure day is always Saturday during the high season. In the off-season and over Easter or Christmas, a different arrival and departure day can be arranged by prior agreement.
The minimum number of overnight stays in the high season is 7 nights. In the off-season and over Easter or Christmas, a different number of overnight stays can be arranged by prior agreement.
Energy costs
Due to increased energy prices, we charge 20 ct/kWh for electricity and 12 ct/kWh for gas. Consumption will be offset against the deposit.
You can also rent an outboard motor for €100 per week.

Our Meerzeit holiday home is located in Timmel on the Timmeler Meer in the municipality of Großefehn in the district of Aurich in East Frisia and in the immediate vicinity of the North Sea coast
Timmel is located in the triangle of Leer, Emden and Aurich.
The Meerzeit holiday home is located in the immediate vicinity of the Timmeler Meer, directly on a canal of the Timmeler Meer with its own jetty and boat. From your own jetty you can immediately set sail, cast your fishing rod or launch your canoe/kayak.
The holiday home is situated in a cul-de-sac opposite a paddock and has direct access to the water.

Cancellation terms:
Excerpt from the Rental Agreement § 4 Cancellation and Early Termination of Stay 1. If the tenant cancels (terminates) the contract before the start of the rental period without naming a replacement tenant who enters into the contract under the same conditions, the following proportional rents (excluding final cleaning and the deposit) must be paid as compensation, taking into account any saved expenses, provided that it is not possible to rent the property to someone else: 1.1. up to 28 days before the start of the rental period: 50% of the rental price 1.2. from 27 days before the start of the rental period: 100% of the rental price. 2. Nevertheless, the landlord will endeavor to rent the property to someone else. 3. If the tenant terminates the stay early, they remain obliged to pay the full rental price. 4. A cancellation or termination must be made in writing. The decisive date is the day the notice is received by the landlord.

The holiday home Meerzeit is rented as a non-smoking house. Every tenant can look forward to a smoke-free house. Smoking is of course permitted outdoors on the terrace or on the jetty.
Furthermore, due to allergies, unfortunately no dogs are allowed in our house.

Great cozy holiday home in a beautiful location.
The holiday home is very beautiful, super clean, and cozy furnished. It was renovated not too long ago and leaves nothing to be desired. We were able to securely store our bikes in the garden shed without any problems. A barbecue is also available. The girls had a lot of fun paddling with the boat.
In the immediate vicinity, there is a beach bar and various restaurants.
The weather also played along during our vacation, so we could enjoy a completely perfect holiday. We would love to come again, but then for a longer period.

The holiday home is very well furnished and the location is ideal for excursions in the surrounding area where there is a lot to see. Especially with small children, the location is great. There are many playgrounds within walking distance. The equipment of the house is second to none.

Very beautiful holiday house and very nicely decorated.
We were here with two adults and two children (13 & 15) and everything was perfect.
We felt very comfortable in the house. Very stylishly furnished and thought of everything. Absolutely quiet location and fantastically beautiful right by the canal.
We were actually able to sleep calmly and deeply in the beds. Boat trips (a bit cold) and bike rides from the doorstep to the seal sanctuary (impressive) and Greetsiel (dreamy) by the sea are easily accessible and enjoyed by all.
Will gladly come back.

Welcome to our holiday home Meerzeit in Timmel East Frisia. We have fulfilled a dream for rest and relaxation with our holiday home directly on the water with its own jetty, its own boat and a fireplace for the colder seasons. The unbelievably good air, the immediate relaxation directly after arrival, the quiet surroundings and the diverse leisure activities have quickly made our Meerzeit holiday home our second home. After renovating the entire house in autumn 2019 and implementing our ideas of a second home with a new kitchen, new bathrooms, predominantly new furniture, a new terrace with roofing and our own new jetty, we now try to find plenty of time, peace, relaxation and recreation up here in Timmel. We wish all tenants enough relaxation and just as much experience up here in the north.
