The popular Weissenhäuser Strand holiday and leisure park is located directly on a 3 kilometer long sandy beach on the Baltic Sea. Families in particular will find variety here: the subtropical swimming paradise, the jungle land adventure and a wakeboarding and water skiing facility ensure leisure fun all year round. In the period from November 5th to December 14th, 2023, January 7th to February 9th, 2024, February 18th to March 15th, 2024, April 1st to May 3rd, 2024 as well as November 3rd to December 19th, 2024, January 5th to February 7th, 2025 and February 16th. March 30, 2025 you have free entry to the subtropical bathing paradise (sometimes limited to 3 hours)! No matter whether you live in one of the holiday homes or in an apartment, you always have your own terrace or balcony and are just a few steps from the sea.
The Weissenhäuser Strand holiday and leisure park is surrounded by dunes and natural landscapes and is located near Hohwacht below the island of Fehmarn. The state capital Kiel is not far away and the Hanseatic city of Lübeck is also easy to reach from here.

Hassle-free, quick check-in. The apartment was ready for occupancy earlier, we were informed of this via SMS.
The location of the complex is simply great. The proximity to the beach is great and everything else can be reached in a short time.
The complex and the apartments are getting old, you can feel the charm of the 70s, it didn't bother us.
The apartment was generally neat and clean. For a few days the size is fine for 2 people, but for a longer stay it becomes limiting given the space available. Especially if you want to cater for yourself. We had a problem with the refrigerator, which unfortunately could not be solved during our stay. After several complaints, the service was somewhat accommodating.
The park has a wide range of activities for young and old, so there is something for everyone.
Unfortunately, almost everything comes with additional costs.
The prices and quality of the restaurants are very different, the “Grandmas” and the “Heimisch” should be highlighted positively.
What is very unfortunate is that there are not enough parking spaces near the apartment or house he has booked. Especially during peak travel times and the complex is full of guests (we were there during the fall holidays). Sometimes you do a few laps to find somewhere you can park your car and often it's not even a real place, but somewhere in a hedge or something similar and it can sometimes take a 10-20 minute walk.
This can reduce the joy of the holiday a little.
The employees always met us in a friendly and helpful manner.
All in all a successful short break, we might book again.

The troop training area that is in full maneuver is not mentioned on the website or anything like that, the whole month of October since firearms and bombs can only be heard quickly from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or 8:30 p.m. is not there, despite telephone reservations and repeatedly mentioning that we want to have peace and quiet doesn't seem to be of interest, that's a rip off for me, unfortunately, it's a shame for such a big company,
