Bright and friendly furnished terraced houses on a 1,000 square meter plot. There are paddocks right outside your front door, so that you can not only observe the beautiful animals every day, but also ride them free of charge if you feel like it. Feeding the chickens, fetching eggs, stroking rabbits, playing with the cats, walking the dog Anna, riding Schetties and Haflingers... there is still real country life here. Strackholt is part of the East Frisian municipality of Großefehn and is about 20 kilometers south of Aurich. A tip: Take a bike tour through the Fehntjerland and cycle past the historic windmills, which are not only beautiful to look at, but are also the symbol of this region.

I can't deny that the whole country life experience is different, feeding chickens and riding ponies is just the best, also the Wi-Fi is good, so posting pictures is easy,

The holiday apartments in Strackholt offered a unique blend of comfort and country living. The living space was spacious and well-equipped, but I especially enjoyed the proximity to hiking trails. It was easy to explore the natural beauty of East Frisia.

Really beautiful place! The location is perfect for cycling, right by all the great windmills. The house was well maintained and had a good atmosphere. Cooking in the kitchen was fun – everything was well equipped. A bit of rural charm here that we loved. I just wish the pool was a bit more heated for cool evenings. Overall, a very relaxing place to stay.

We had a wonderful time at the Ferienwohnung in Strackholt! The townhouse was bright and cozy, and the kids loved being able to interact with the animals right outside. We took advantage of the free ride and fed the chickens, which was a success! The heated outdoor pool was a bonus, especially after a long day cycling through the picturesque landscapes. The location is perfect for exploring East Frisia, just a few minutes' drive from the charming nearby towns. I highly recommend it for families looking for a taste of country life!

We had a great time at the Ferienwohnungen in Strackholt! The townhouse was bright and cozy, perfect for our family getaway. I mean, who doesn't love waking up to the sounds of life in the countryside? We fed the chickens and even rode some horses, which was a very fun experience. The heated pool was also a nice touch, especially after a long day of cycling through the beautiful meadows. The hosts were super friendly and made us feel at home. I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a peaceful retreat with a bit of rural charm.
