The Holiday home

The dreamlike property with its large house and the extensive, elaborately designed outdoor facilities with terrace, pergola and barbecue area offers an excellent opportunity for families with children (often 2 friendly families or families together with grandparents) or groups of friends to spend their holidays together.
While the children and teenagers find plenty of space to play and discover on the large enclosed property with its own pool, the adults can forget the stress of everyday life here.
Ideal also for nature lovers as well as hiking and mountain bike enthusiasts, who can start directly from the house.

The holiday home offers space for eight people on a living area of approx. 110 m² on one level. There is a large living room with a modern kitchen, four bedrooms, a bathroom with WC, bidet and extra-large shower, and two separate WCs
The entire property is at the guests' disposal for exclusive use. A large terrace with lake view, a pool with lake and mountain views, a covered pergola with table tennis and a separate barbecue area with views of Lake Garda.
The modern kitchen is equipped with refrigerator, gas hob, oven, dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster, electric kettle. (Dishwasher tabs, detergent, soap, bin liners etc. are provided).
Smartphones, tablets or notebooks can be connected to the 42-inch flat-screen TV via Bluetooth or cable (USB, HDMI). The reception of TV and radio is via SAT system (Astra; all German channels).
The stereo system can play the songs of your smarthone/tablet/laptop etc. via Bluetooth or audio cable.
The four bedrooms are divided as follows:
The 1st bedroom has a double bed (2x190x80) and a cot (140x80).
The 2nd bedroom has two single beds (200x90). The 3rd bedroom has a double bed (2x200x90) and the 4th bedroom has a french bed (200x140).
Bed linen and towels are not included in the price and can be brought by yourself or optionally booked through our laundry service.
A washing machine and detergent are available as well as a 2nd refrigerator with freezer near the pool.

The entire outdoor area is very beautiful and is lovingly tended by a gardener. During the summer months, enjoy your breakfast in the morning on the large terrace overlooking Lake Garda and stay there in the evening to admire the lights of the opposite shore.
The swimming pool (8x4m) is certainly the centre of the outdoor area, which is available for the exclusive use of the guests
The outdoor shower right next to the pool has a hot water connection.
Right next to the pool area is the large covered pergola. Here sportsmen find a table tennis table and bookworms a shady place. For small children a suitable swing is attached here.
At night, the lighting concept can be used to put the outdoor facilities in a romantic light.
A jewel is certainly the elaborately designed barbecue area with a bricked grill above the pool area with beautiful views of the lake

The swimming pool is open from May to October
During this time, the pool service comes once a week to check that everything is in order; cleans the pool, checks the water quality, chlorine content, water level, etc. and makes improvements if necessary. The water is cleaned daily by a timer-controlled filter system
Like the building on the inside, the outside area is to be left swept clean on departure.

Location and surroundings of object

The extensive 3000 m² hillside property is terraced and overgrown from all sides. It lies absolutely quiet and idyllically on the edge of a nature reserve above Tolscolano-Maderno on the western shore of Lake Garda. Fantastic sun and shade places with great views of the lake and mountains invite you to relax on the entire property.
The location is ideal because you live in the middle of nature without roads and other noise, yet you can reach the centre of the village and the lake in only 10-15 minutes by car (5 km). Especially in the high season there is a more relaxing atmosphere and a more pleasant climate than directly at the lake
As the neighbours also appreciate its quiet location in the middle of nature, the house is not suitable as a "party house". Loud music, especially outdoors, is therefore generally not allowed !

Halfway to the lake, in Maclino, turning right at the church, you will directly come across an Alimentari. This small shop is run by a very friendly couple (both speak good German) and has many things for daily needs. From eight o'clock in the morning there are fresh rolls there daily (so also on Sundays). In Maderno there is a supermarket on the left and right of the main road. Another large supermarket (migros) is located in Toscolano (somewhat hidden from the main road turning off towards the lake). Thursdays is market day in Toscolano from 8 am to 1 pm. The Tourist Info is located in Maderno, coming from the house, opposite the upim supermarket on the right hand side. A lot has been done for tourists in the last few years, so don't miss the opportunity to get some information here. (We have put together a selection of information for you, together with the house info and maps, in a folder on the secretary)

The area is an eldorado for hikers and mountain bikers. Simply start directly from the house, for example in the direction of St. Urbano, or climb Monte Pizzocolo. It is part of the Garda mountain range and is the highest elevation within a radius of 15 kilometres on the west bank of the lake. The mountain is a popular excursion destination, and the peak can be reached on foot or by mountain bike over the only moderately rising southern and western slopes. The effort is rewarded with a magnificent view of the lake and the surrounding mountains. Less strenuous is a walk to the cemetery with its old, beautifully laid-out graves and a great view of Toscolano and Lake Garda (follow the signs for Sanico at the town sign). Definitely worth a visit is the valley of the paper mills in Toscolano (also very suitable as a family excursion with children). And for those who want to swim in the clear waters of Lake Garda, there are beaches in Toscolano and Maderno. A stroll alongside the beautiful beach promenade is especially recommended for the evening hours. In summer many events take place here. Restaurants can be found abundantly from km distance from the house. How about an excursion to the opposite lakeshore to Torri. The car ferry starts directly from Maderno. The same applies to various excursion boats. If you prefer to be a captain yourself, you will find a motor boat rental with a wide range of choice right next to the ferry port
Directions: Last 1 km to the house partly on gravel road. Therefore we recommend not to arrive with lowered or too big cars (motorhome); steep driveway to the carport (here space for two cars in a row).
