Beautiful holiday home with a feel-good factor

We spent a relaxing week in July in this lovingly furnished holiday home. The weather was rather mixed – sun, rain, and wind alternated – but precisely because of that, we particularly appreciated the cozy atmosphere of the house.

The fireplace provided comforting warmth and a relaxed mood on cooler evenings, while the private sauna was a real highlight and ensured additional relaxation. Even on rainy days, we felt like we were truly relaxing on vacation.

The house is very well-maintained, excellently equipped, and located in a quiet environment, ideal for walks or simply to unwind.

Overall, a thoroughly successful stay – we would love to come back!

Great house

We spent a very nice vacation in the yellow house with five people and a dog. There was enough space for all of us. The two toilets and showers are great, so you never get in each other's way. The large living-dining area on the first floor is very cozily furnished, making you feel right at home. The small kitchen is really equipped with everything you could possibly imagine: coffee maker, toaster, microwave, kettle, oven, dishwasher... and sufficient dishes and cooking utensils. I didn't notice anything I was missing. It was great for our dog to play without a leash in the fenced garden. All in all, it was a very nice vacation for us, and we can definitely recommend the house.

Very nice family ski vacation with children of preschool age

We really enjoyed the ski vacation with our children. It was perfect for us: snow on the mountain, many great playgrounds, and good restaurants in the area. The holiday home is well equipped and offers plenty of space. The sauna and garden invite you to relax. Highly recommended.

Pleasant vacation home

Very complete as-new equipment. We particularly enjoyed the fireplace in the very cozy living/dining room in the evening. The sauna after skiing was also a very pleasant plus of this house.

We were six people staying in the yellow house for a week - four adults, two children, and a dog. The house lacks nothing, everything is there that humans and pets need. It is spacious, tastefully and comfortably furnished, top clean and you can reach everything very well - also on foot - from the location. We would book this accommodation again at any time and thank the Holzwarth family very much!

Summer vacation 2023

The yellow house is a large, modern, cozy, clean, detached house built on a slope with a terrace and outdoor sauna. In the basement, there is a washing machine and a dryer for use, and the bicycles can also be stored there if necessary. Via a wooden staircase, you enter the house on the first floor, where the 2 bedrooms with double beds, a bedroom with a single bed, and an interior bathroom with shower are located. The two double bedrooms are spacious enough and furnished comfortably, the bedroom facing the stream side has a built-in bookshelf with a small but good selection of books. You can hear the stream when the window is open, so it is not suitable for people who need absolute silence to sleep (it didn't bother us much). The other double bedroom has the window facing the slope side, where the stream can be heard only slightly. In the basement, it was always pleasantly cool, perfect for sleeping. Via a staircase, you reach the upper floor, where the very spacious living room with a super cozy dining area, a comfortable modern leather sofa set, a small kitchen with a fully-automatic coffee machine (the coffee tastes very good), and a small bathroom with a shower and window are located. The room is tastefully furnished with attention to detail, lots of wood (beams, cabinets), and a hanging chair seat complete the very harmonious ambiance. From there, you reach the balcony on the left, where a cozy armchair is located with a view of the stream. On the right, wooden steps lead to the inviting terrace and outdoor sauna. There, you can make yourself very comfortable on loungers or chairs with a wonderful view to the mountains on the right and left, completely hidden from other people, as the house is surrounded by many not so tall trees and plants, slightly off the main road (which you can hardly hear), and the nearest house (there are only 3 houses there) is quite far away. The contact with the landlord was excellent.

Winter holiday

We hebben een fijne vakantie gehad in het gele huis.
Het huis is ruim en schoon. En van alle gemakken voorzien. Close to the ski area. Ongeveer 10 min rijden. Contact met de eigenaar maar ook met de dame die voor de sleutel zorgt ging makkelijk.

Top domicile for a week in the snow

We found everything just as beautiful as we had seen it in the pictures before. The journey worked without traffic jams, the access to the house was without problems and we felt immediately at home. Our contact person Monika was very accessible and quickly took care of salt and grit when it became slippery in front of the house due to the low night temperatures and the thaw during the day. The house equipment is excellent - everything you need for cooking (and we always cooked ourselves) can be found in the small kitchen. The highlight for us was the sauna, which we used extensively. It takes 6 minutes to get to the ski area - so it's very close. There are enough slopes there to feel comfortable as a skier who only goes this one week a year. If you arrive on Saturday evening and want to do some shopping, you have to plan a 40-minute drive to the Billa in St. Michael on Sunday, everything in the immediate vicinity is closed on Sundays.
All in all, it was a great week's holiday in a great house.

Dream house in the snow

We spent our holiday week with our 2 sons in a great dream house. Tastefully furnished, spotlessly clean, small kitchen with everything you need.

A beautiful house with plenty of space for the whole family and its own sauna

We spent a week in this beautiful house in autumn 2022. On two floors you will find everything you could wish for as a family with children. Game collection, fireplace, barbecue, sauna, nice excursion destinations nearby like summer toboggan run, wood museum and of course mountain hikes. The landlord provided us with all the information and you notice that the house is well looked after. In the kitchen there is everything you need and the house is in tip-top condition.

The yellow house

Once an old farmhouse, now stylishly renovated. Its charm and character have nevertheless been preserved. Inside, however, the modern age has moved in with high-tech and cosiness. If you are only a little bit mobile, you can do a lot of things in the scenic surroundings, from hiking in mountainous nature to visiting historical places. My wife and I, who are among the older generation, felt very comfortable.

Perfect accommodation for man and dog

We, a family of 4 with 2 dogs, spent almost 2 weeks in the yellow house in August. Unfortunately, our dogs often get quite "upset" at the sight of "threatening" people on neighbouring terraces, so this house in a secluded location was absolutely perfect for us. There is nothing to bark at here, which guarantees a relaxed holiday for both sides.
Situated only a few metres away from the main road (of which, by the way, you hardly notice the traffic), you can quickly reach the surrounding villages and the hiking or skiing area by car. The Mur cycle path can be accessed directly from the house; it is well signposted in both directions and can also be mastered by inexperienced cyclists (without an e-bike). A shady hiking trail stretches upwards along the Allgau stream (directly in front of the house), ideal for a morning or evening walk with the dog
Since the house is built into the hillside and has exceptionally thick walls, it is really very cool in the lower area, where the bedrooms are, even in high summer outside temperatures, but this is quite pleasant. Thanks to warm down duvets, you don't freeze and the mattresses are super comfortable.
In general, you can tell from the high-quality furnishings that the owners themselves often spend their holidays here. There are many things that you don't find in average holiday flats, such as a fully automatic coffee machine. A highlight is of course the sauna.
The contact with the landlord was very nice and uncomplicated. Mr. Holzwarth immediately takes care of every request from Germany or contacts people on site if something should not work.
All in all, we were very satisfied and can highly recommend the yellow house.

Our summer holiday in the "Yellow House" 2022

We spent our annual holiday 2022 in the "Yellow House" of the Holzwarth family and were completely satisfied. The house is very clean and the equipment leaves nothing to be desired.
The communication with the Holzwarth family and with Monika on site worked wonderfully and no questions etc. were left unanswered. We can recommend the holiday home and the landlords without reservation. 5 stars *****

Enjoy a holiday

You immediately feel at home in the house. The bedrooms are nice and cool because of the thick walls and you can sleep really well in the beds. Our first holiday home with insect screens in the bedrooms. Really great!!!
The living room with kitchen and dining area is nice and bright and invites you to linger
There are many places in the garden to enjoy nature. Our favourite place on hot days was definitely the shady spot under the three spruces with the sound of the brook, just lovely! We all, including the dog, had a very good rest and can only recommend the house.

Beautiful farmhouse in a good location

We had a very pleasant stay! I can only recommend it!
The house is in a very quiet, private area and is equipped with pretty much everything you need. My personal highlights were the view, the sauna and funnily enough the cutlery.

The outdoor area allows for a nice breakfast in the sun and the fireplace inside creates a very cosy atmosphere, especially in the evening. The house also offers a lot of natural light, enough space and a reasonable temperature regulation. Even mobile phone reception and fast Wi-Fi are available. I would describe the interior style as a mix between rustic and modern. The bedrooms are sufficiently dark and equipped with comfortable beds. Good conditions for restful nights.

I would suggest coming with a car. The nearest restaurant is about 2 minutes away by car. Supermarkets, petrol stations and the ski area are about 5 minutes away by car
You can also get to beautiful lakes and waterfalls by car. The Auerlingsee, Etrachsee or Günster waterfall are definitely worth a visit

Whether hiking, biking or skiing, the "Gelber Haus" is the right address. I will definitely be back!

Dream holiday away from mass tourism

The yellow house has a super interior. Large, warm rooms with high-quality furnishings (solid furniture, leather couches) awaited us. No junk in the kitchen either, but new appliances and nice cutlery, glasses, plates etc
Great location (away from the tourist hordes), no one is bothered here if it is a bit noisy or you (woman) go from the sauna to the terrace and you don't feel watched
The short distance to the Kreischbergbahn valley station was no problem, there was plenty of parking. Of course you need a car, but that's how it was described. Good communication with the landlord

Conclusion: we will definitely be back.

Top Accommodation

We (4 adults and a German Shepherd) felt very comfortable in the cozy and comfortable house with immediate access to the cross-country ski trail and only a few minutes' drive to the ski area. The landlords and on-site management are also very friendly. We would love to come back.

Traumhaftes Häuschen, liebevoll renoviert

We spent the last week of August in the Yellow House and are still completely thrilled. The house is lovingly furnished down to the smallest detail and has everything you need for a holiday stay. We already knew the owners from their property in Croatia, and this time too, contact, booking, and key handover went smoothly. The recommendations regarding hiking routes and restaurants in the nearby area are invaluable! A successful vacation where we could fully enjoy the last days of summer.
