Description
A newly built external staircase leads to the ground floor. As soon as you enter the hallway, you feel a cosy atmosphere - from here you have access to the Vesperstube, the 1st bedroom; to the fully equipped kitchen, the shower-bathroom with WC, as well as a beautiful rustic wooden staircase, which leads to the upper floor.
The kitchen is equipped with all necessary electrical appliances (cooker, dishwasher) and has direct access to the terrace and balcony
On the upper floor you have a large cosy living room to relax and unwind, as well as for exciting TV evenings. A historic fireplace gives this room a soothing warmth.
Adjacent is the lovingly designed bedroom with hand-painted built-in wardrobes and ensures a peaceful and restful sleep. Additionally on this level you have a second bathroom with bathtub, washbasin and WC at your disposal.

Location and surroundings of object
Large fenced meadow and forest property - ideal for dog owners. In addition, good transport connections (bike and hiking trails directly in front of the house) or train station in 500m distance to come back in the evening with the regional train after the bike tour. Additional good traffic connection by road to start day trips.
This location in the valley with the road in the valley can lead to noise pollution: ideal house for holidaymakers who make day trips, not suitable for holidaymakers who are only looking for peace and quiet on the terrace.
Wolfach in the Black Forest is a spa town and ideally situated for day trips. There are also great shopping opportunities and restaurants

The house is a historic Black Forest house and not luxury accommodation. It gives a good impression of how people lived here in the past
We had storm damage earlier this year and the roof is partially covered with a tarp - repair will not be possible until the end of this year. The roof is tight and the house is habitable as normal - only from outside the property the tarpaulin is visible, so this should not bother you.
For winter guests: Please note that the house is heated only with two wood stoves which warm the whole house very well. Cut firewood is available, but you should already have experience with the operation of wood stoves.

Pure nature
This was the second time we stayed in the Black Forest House and I have to say that the owner has changed a lot of things and bought new things, so all in all we were very satisfied. The house was clean and tidy, even the fireplace was already burning when we arrived so we didn't have to sit cold. A cottage by the woods that delights people and dogs alike. However, if you otherwise reside in a 5 * hotel, you are in the wrong place, it is an old Black Forest house, which offers everything you need for a nice holiday, but no luxury and also according to the age of the house, who does not mind a few cobwebs, or some dust, will spend a wonderful time here.
We felt very comfortable and will come again.

Historic house
not standard accommodation, but a great old house - here you can relax by the fireplace and imagine what life was like in the Black Forest 100 years ago.
