La Scuola is an extremely affordable holiday home with a private pool in the hinterland of Grosseto.
The house is located on a large, fenced property near the small town of Arcille near Istia d'Ombrone
and just 35 minutes from the sea.
In fact, La Scuola used to be a school, which was converted into a holiday home a few years ago by the owner of the neighboring farmhouse. Today, it ideally offers accommodations for a family of 6 people and is also suitable for 1-3 dogs, providing a pleasant stay for a relaxed Tuscany vacation.
A beautiful circular pool with a diameter of 8 meters, in-ground, is located on the large garden property.
(1.2 meters deep, open until mid-October)
Sun loungers and umbrellas are available for guests at the pool.
Accommodation
An external staircase leads to the apartment on the 1st floor. (The ground floor is a storage space of the owner that is not accessible)
The apartment consists of a large living room with upholstered furniture and dining area,
a kitchen-living room with dining area, two bedrooms and a bathroom with shower.
One bedroom has a double bed, the second bedroom has a double bed and a bunk bed.
From the living area, you can access a terrace with a covered seating area and a view of the garden with pool.
The apartment is simply and functionally furnished, but cozy. The kitchen has a dishwasher, oven, and gas stove.
In the living area, there is satellite TV. The windows are equipped with fly screens.
Ceiling fans are installed in all rooms for a pleasant climate during heat.

Beautiful Italy
We have now been to La Scuola for the 3rd time in 20 years and it was beautiful again.
Italian coziness, combined with personal service (especially their own olive oil and Prosecco, and of course fresh Tagliatelle - simply delicious, with herbs from the garden) and the attentiveness of the landlord Francesco as well as the help of his nice son Vladimiro.
The house is typically Italian, functional and without frills. Enjoying the pool during the day, then let your soul dangle in the shade of the fig tree and in the evening, having dinner on the terrace with a glass of red wine and letting the day come to an end while gazing at a beautiful, clear starry sky above us.
For those who like to go to the sea or visit cities, it is possible to be at the water within a half hour, or reach Grosseto, Siena, Florence, even Pisa easily, although we were also very pleased with the small villages like Roccalbegno, Scansano, Pitigliano, etc.
