Unique lake view in a stylish ambience
The small holiday home 'Piratennest' is situated about 200 metres above Lake Maggiore in the immediate vicinity of the idyllic and very well-kept holiday resort of Cannero Riviera with its many attractive leisure and tourist attractions. The special location offers a fantastic view of the pirate island 'Castelli di Cannero' and the whole lake. Situated in the middle of a Mediterranean garden, the 'Piratennest' is the lowest of a total of seven holiday homes in the well-kept complex. Past palm trees and through the middle of the Mediterranean rock garden, 150 steps lead you from your own parking lot down to the 45 m² holiday home. Heart of the apartment is the very bright living and dining room (approx. 32 sqm) with built-in modern kitchenette, stylish dining and comfortable living area. From there it goes directly to the more than 20 sqm large terrace with a panoramic lake view on the Lago Maggiore and a high-quality terrace equipment. The two XXL loungers in polyrattan with comfortable cushions, a table and four chairs invite you to sunbathe and a romantic dinner with a fantastic view of the lake. The Piratennest is the lowest holiday home, so that you can enjoy the panorama and the sun on your terrace undisturbed and without direct neighbours. Two awnings provide shade in midsummer when you enjoy the sun from sunrise until well into the afternoon

The 'Pirate's Nest' offers a stylish feel-good atmosphere in a cosy country house chic on 45 square metres. The whole object is equipped in the modern country house style.

Please note that during the high season (Easter to the end of September) your arrival and departure day should be on a weekend day (FR, SA, SO). So bookings from e.g. Sunday to Friday are also possible.

Bedroom furniture in white/brown with 1.60 m bed, chest of drawers and wardrobe. The bedroom with its own window is about 9 sqm large.

Location and surroundings of object

The pirate's nest is a well-kept and stylishly furnished holiday cottage situated about 200 metres above Lake Maggiore. The complex, surrounded by a Mediterranean park, consists of seven holiday homes. Thanks to the extraordinary hillside location, you can enjoy a fantastic view of the lake from the approx. 20 sqm large terrace and are nevertheless not far away from the lake. The nearest village is Cannero, 3 km away by car (about 15 minutes on foot). The idyllic holiday resort with its stylish lakeside promenade and good restaurants is not overcrowded even in high summer.
The large, very well-kept bathing beach with free sunbathing lawn and sandy beach lies on a peninsula directly in the lake. You can swim in an enchanting mountain panorama or rent a boat and drive out to the pirate island. There are fantastic hiking trails, crystal clear mountain streams, the charm of Italian cities, a lot of art history, wine and pasta and endless water sports in the region.
The shopping and cultural metropolis of Milan is just over an hour's drive away.
In the directly adjacent Cannobio (approx. 10 minutes by car) you can rent diving, sailing boats and catamarans and explore the lake on your own.
The largest city on the lake - Verbania - is about 15 minutes away by car. Here you can shop and stroll very well
Once a week there is a big market in Luino (other side of the lake), which can be easily reached with the regular ferry connections. A visit is worth it!
The great tourist attractions of Lake Maggiores - Stresa with its Art Nouveau hotels and the Borromean Islands - are about 20 minutes away by car (Isola Bella, Isola dei Pescatori, Isola Madre). For hikers and nature lovers an excursion to the Centovalli with the famous Centovalli Railway is a must.

The regions around Lake Maggiore are known for their Mediterranean climate, with about 300 sunny days a year. You enjoy all four seasons here. Thanks to its geographical location, spring begins about one and a half months earlier than the regions north of the Alps, with all its flowering splendour, especially camellias and azaleas. The regularly blowing thermal winds make it pleasantly warm even in midsummer. The mild and sunny autumn also lasts a few weeks longer. So you can still spend your holidays at Lago Maggiore in October/November. The winter is relatively mild, so that you can often enjoy sunshine on the terraces until December
The mountain ranges of the southern Alps protect the region from the cold from the north in winter. The flora ranges from chestnuts to palm trees and a variety of Mediterranean plants to citrus fruits and figs. In the history of Lake Maggiore, famous personalities from all over the world have already come to appreciate the magic of Lake Maggiore. Napoleon, Queen Victoria, Ernest Hemingway, and other famous people spent their holidays on the west shore of Lake Maggiore. This western shore in particular impresses with its splendour and opulence, which is reflected in magnificent villas, palaces and artistically designed and gardens.
