Our house is situated in a quiet location at the edge of the forest and is considered an ideal starting point for hikes and bike tours to the peaks and springs of the Fichtelgebirge. The numerous small towns in the surrounding area offer many sights and attractions. Visit the Jean Paul city of Wunsiedel with the Fichtelgebirge Museum and the Luisenburg, the Wagner city of Bayreuth with the Margravial Opera House (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the Natural History Museum and the university’s tropical houses, the porcelain city of Selb with the Industrial Museum and the city of Hohenberg with the Porcelain Museum, the beer city of Kulmbach with the tin soldier collection in the Plassenburg Fortress, the Brewery Museum, the Steam Locomotive Museum, and the Butterfly Park in Neuenmarkt. Travel by bus or car to the Bohemian spas of Františkovy Lázně, Karlovy Vary or Mariánské Lázně and to Prague. Culinary delights in specialty restaurants with dishes served on local porcelain are not neglected, and local herb tours are also possible. The many shopping centers and factory outlets leave no room for boredom. At the farmers’ markets, guests and locals always find a fresh selection of fruit, vegetables, meat or sausage specialties, and hand-picked herbs and homemade jam, etc.
Simply enjoy a Küchla and a coffee at the farm museum and relax in a cozy atmosphere. A glass of beer from independent small breweries, a visit to the traditional schnapps museum, or the atmosphere of the Cafe PEMA Concept Store with the "Rogg In" museum complete the offerings.
Lush, blooming meadows with beautiful forest and field paths await the walker right outside our door. The hiker will find rushing streams and cozy inns in the immediate vicinity. The Weissenstadt Lake, only a 20-minute walk away, offers opportunities for swimming and surfing, as well as tennis, skating, and many other leisure activities. Vacationers who want peace and quiet can relax undisturbed with children and dogs in the nearby forest or in our large garden. The Werra visitor mine is open to visitors, and the Siebenquell health resort offers a pleasant bathing and sauna area for the relaxation of mind, body, and soul. The Ochsenkopf toboggan run and the Outdoor Center also offer attractive leisure activities in winter. Just a stone’s throw away, you can get to know the Rudolfstein alpacas and find out about the products in the farm shop.

Short holiday
Dear Eitner family,
for my wife's birthday in June 2021 we were allowed to spend a few wonderful days with you. You welcomed us warmly and informed us about hikes and special sights. We had the feeling of staying alone in your house, as we were able to enjoy our days in complete peace. The beautiful landscape and immediate surroundings were a dream for us. We didn't lack anything at your place, the holiday flat was equipped with everything you need for daily life. Even our dog Merlin was taken care of. You honoured my wife's birthday with a small gift. Thank you again for that. Unfortunately, the stairs to the flat were quite dangerous for us with our dog and not so easy to walk on. We wish you all the best and stay healthy.
