Description
Arriving and feeling good in an individual ambience means combining traditional construction with lots of wood and the advantages of modern living.
In our holiday home, you enter the various rooms from a large hallway. A large log parlour forms the dining and living area with fitted kitchen, dining table with 6 chairs, couch corner and TV. Since the couch can be pulled out, 2 people can also sleep here.
But of course there is also a bedroom with a double bed and a children's travel bed as well as a large wardrobe. Here, too, a lot of wood characterises the room.
A smaller log room can be the realm of your children. With a bed and again a pull-out couch and TV. Of course, adults can also sleep here. The house is suitable for a maximum of 5-6 people. But you can also spend a good holiday here with just the two of you.
There is also a bathroom with tub and shower, which was built into the former goat barn years ago and has now been renovated again.
The toilet is separate in the so-called back house. There is also a small laundry room with washing machine and dryer as well as a storage room for prams, bicycles, skis or the like.
When the weather is nice, you can use the entire garden to relax, play, barbecue..

Location and surroundings of object
Our holiday flat is located in Ringenhain, a district of Steinigtwolmsdorf in the Upper Lusatian Mountains. The location is central in the village on a side street and directly on the small river Wesenitz.
There are a variety of hiking possibilities in the immediate vicinity. You can start right at the house and explore the Valtenberg area, the Upper Lusatian High Trail or the neighbouring communities. There are many interesting things to discover there
By car, Saxon Switzerland with its countless wonderful hiking trails can be reached in half an hour. In the other directions, the Lusatian Pond and Lake Land and the Zittau Mountains invite hikers with signposted theme trails.
In winter, weather permitting, there is also the possibility of cross-country skiing directly on site and in the neighbouring communities. A network of cross-country ski trails is available for this purpose. Alpine skiing is also possible; a prepared slope with a lift can be reached in 15 minutes by car.
In good weather, the Steinigtwolmsdorf water world with its large stainless steel pool, slide, children's area and extensive sunbathing lawns can be reached on foot in half an hour (5 minutes by car). The Lusatian Lakeland also promises relaxation by the water.
The Valtenberg area offers interesting things to discover on nature trails and, most recently, something very special in the form of monster roller-skating. Let us surprise you.
After a 15-minute drive, you can reach the dinosaur park and the Kleinwelka maze. The dinosaur park is particularly beautiful. You can play there for several hours and learn many interesting things.
There are several climbing parks in the area. In Bautzen, this is located at the reservoir, which also invites you to relax. There is also a climbing park in Saxon Switzerland. This also offers children a lot of fun climbing in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains or during a visit to Königstein Fortress. Another climbing park is in the Zittau Mountains. The excursion can be combined with a visit to the summer toboggan run or the butterfly house.
For those interested in culture, our state capital Dresden offers a wide range of possibilities. Famous museums and monuments are inviting even in bad weather. The cultural city of Görlitz, right on the Polish border, is also worth a visit.
Our neighbouring countries, the Czech Republic and Poland, are not far away and also worth a trip.

Our Umgebinde house is located directly on the Umgebinde cycle path. This leads through the beautiful Upper Lusatian Umgebinde villages, where you can learn a lot about this special type of construction. You can also cycle comfortably to the Czech Republic, just a few kilometres away, and enjoy the Bohemian cuisine. Other cycle paths along the Spree or through the lakeland make sure you don't get bored. A bicycle rental - also for electric bikes - is located in the neighbouring village.

Exceptionally beautiful accommodation
We really felt at home in this house. Everything was very clean and tastefully decorated. The hosts were exceptionally nice and accommodating. For the comfort offered here, the price-performance ratio is absolutely justified. We would love to come back.

Feel-good vacation in Upper Lusatia
We stayed 4 nights in the beautiful vacation apartment of the Gocht family and felt completely at home. The cozy apartment leaves nothing to be desired; everything one could imagine is available. We especially liked the super-cozy beds. We would love to come back!
