The closed holiday resort is located directly on the nature reserve, with salt lakes, ideal for walking and watching birds (flamingos)
Nearby is the Canal du Midi, along which you can cycle, hike, walk, inline skate or boat.
The sea with its beautiful sandy beach is about 700 m away and invites you to swim, relax, go fishing, sailing, surfing, banana boating. Beach restaurants spoil you with ice cream, delicious food and cool drinks.
The town centre with shops, restaurants and markets is about 500 m away.

Two very relaxing weeks
The house really has everything you need and is also beautifully furnished and very clean. The location is quiet, and despite the pool across the way, you can wonderfully relax in the garden! When the weather is a bit cooler, you can use the winter garden. The path to the sea is easily reachable on foot with children, and the nature reserve located right next to the complex is great for walks and observing flamingos, etc. The landlords were very accommodating and were always available for questions.
All in all, we had a very nice, relaxing vacation and would love to come back!

A place to return to even after years
Even after five years, this holiday home has lost none of its charm. The tranquility, the beautiful nature, and the warm hospitality of Mr. and Mrs. Makkos still make the stay something special. Everything is well-maintained, clean, and thoughtfully furnished. A new addition is an air conditioning unit – a real blessing in summer heat! We felt completely comfortable again and can continue to recommend this holiday home without reservation.

Cosy and yet perfectly furnished
The house is a gem with furnishings that are rarely found in a holiday home of this quality. Thanks to the glazed winter garden, the house can also be used in the cooler seasons. There are also many beautiful places to visit in the surrounding area.
The contact with the Makkos family was friendly and the formalities were handled without complications.

We will be back :-)
Despite (or because of?) the special situation this year, we had a great two weeks in the holiday cottage of the Makkos family.
The holiday home is located in a small complex with a small pool, access to the complex is only possible for residents. The nature reserve around La Grande Maïre starts right next to the complex, ideal for observing flamingos and other birds, the beach is about 900m away. We had bicycles with us and used them a lot for smaller and larger excursions.
There is a private car park directly in front of the house, very convenient for loading and unloading, and the pool is directly opposite. We were there at the end of the main season, so the noise was not disturbing for us (there are fixed pool times with lunch break).
The garden in front of the house is surrounded by dense bushes and therefore almost not visible.
Our favourite place in the house was the conservatory. The glass front can be opened almost completely, so that you can sit there comfortably in any weather
The house is very well equipped, especially the quite new kitchen offers everything you need to feed a family of 4 without any problems. The bedrooms on the first floor are cosy and furnished with 160cm beds. Due to the layout, the smaller bedroom does not have a wardrobe/wardrobe, but a shelf
The entire accommodation incl. bathroom & WC is clean and lovingly furnished.
The hosts are very friendly and respond promptly to questions or problems.
Conclusion: We found it great, we will be back :-)

Pure relaxation holiday
You arrive and immediately feel welcome in this beautiful and very well equipped holiday home. Everything is neat and clean. There is plenty of space to cook in the kitchen, all kitchen utensils are available. The bedrooms are also very appealing and the bathroom is easy to move around in even if you are of a taller stature.
We were able to eat outside in the garden every day and really enjoyed it. If it's a bit chilly, you can easily escape to the conservatory
Outside the complex there are beautiful little paths through the salt marshes, you can cycle along the Canal du midi or just take a walk along the long sandy beach...pure nature!
Mr and Mrs Makkos are very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel really at home. What more do you need... :-)
We will be very happy to come back!
