Description
The villa, a historic 18th century residence, is located in the municipality of Rignano sull`Arno, in the upper Valdarno area, a few kilometres from Florence. In the 1930s it was chosen by the famous physicist Enrico Fermi as his summer residence.
The building is situated on a 40-hectare estate and is surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and a large park with ancient trees.
Situated in a panoramic position at 300 metres above sea level, the villa offers a magnificent view of the Arno valley, the Pratomagno mountain range and the hills of the Chianti area.
A stay at the villa offers a variety of entertainment options: from walks and horseback rides in the surrounding countryside, to visits to the most famous art cities of Tuscany (Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Arezzo), to playing tennis at the nearby tennis club, to hiking in the nature reserve of the Casentino woods.
With its large rooms, simple furnishings and large park, the villa is also an ideal place for weddings and special celebrations.
Guests can also purchase wine, olive oil, fruit and vegetables from the farm's own production.
Outdoor area
The private swimming pool (10x4 m; depth: 1.50 m) in the large garden is for the exclusive use of guests. There is a gazebo and sun loungers at the edge of the pool.
In the garden there are also the barbecue equipment and a table with chairs for outdoor meals.
The villa has a children's play area with swings and tricycles.

The villa is a two-storey building and sleeps 12 in 6 double bedrooms. In one bedroom a bed can be added. There are also 4 bathrooms.
The villa consists of equipped kitchen, three large halls with fireplace, five bedrooms with double bed (one of them with sofa bed for two persons) and four bathrooms.
