Location and surroundings of object
Due to its 280 sqm living space ideal for the extended family or 2 - 3 families of friends.
It comprises 6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, 1 dining room, 1 kitchen, 1 glazed veranda and several terraces plus roof terrace. The pool area has a wrap-around terrace and an outdoor shower.
The villa includes satellite TV, washing machine, fireplace, air conditioning, radio with CD player and barbecue facilities. The nearest beach is a 3-minute walk away and there are 2 supermarkets and a couple of restaurants, café and bar within easy reach. Carvoeiro is a particularly popular holiday resort with German tourists. This is certainly primarily due to the fact that thanks to sensible building planning by the district administration in Lagoa, the place is "free of high-rise buildings". In addition, the most beautiful sections of the rocky Algarve, such as the "Algar Seco", can be found in the immediate vicinity.
The small beach is located directly on the central square of the village and can therefore be reached on foot at "ground level", so to speak. To the left and right, it is framed by high cliffs on which rows of houses stretch out. Although there are also a few fishing boats on the beach, the fine, light-coloured sand is very clean; if necessary - daily in the high season - a machine "ploughs" the beach. The water slopes gently, and there are shallow rocks in the water that you have to watch out for. Every conceivable infrastructure is available - sunbeds, sunshades, showers, toilets, wooden boardwalk, lifeguards, several restaurants, ice cream parlour. The "Blue Flag" is only missing because the municipality has not complied with the selection procedure for years! In front of the beach there is a small car park for which a fee is charged, which is always full in high season. It is also difficult to find a parking space in the immediate vicinity. Our tip: Drive up the Estrada do Farol and turn off towards Algar Seco.
From the road on the cliff, a staircase leads down to these magnificent rock formations and grottos, where you can climb around as you please
Over the centuries, wind and weather have shaped this landscape of rock pillars, plateaus and caves. The tides do an incidental job of making this place seem spooky; a small "mountain lake" rises and falls with the tide, the sea gurgles from winding caves and crevices; the colour of the limestone changes with the sunlight and the position of the sun.
After this exciting and somewhat strenuous climbing walk, treat yourself to refreshment in the rest stop that seems somewhat out of place in the middle of the grotto world - seen from the car park.
