Our house is situated in the middle of nature between lakes, forests and meadows. Vimmerby is 5 km away
The living space is 135 sqm. Dogs are welcome. Open, well-equipped kitchen/living room, hall with wardrobe corner, dishwasher, electric cooker with ceramic hob, fridge/freezer. Dining room, children's high chair. Living room with fireplace, piano, stereo, German TV / DVD player / 2 bathrooms with WC and shower, washing machine and dryer. Sauna with exit to the garden
3 bedrooms (2x double bed 160cm and 140 cm wide, 1x bunk bed. Central heating. Traditional Småland fenced 1300 sqm garden with wooden house for children (use at own risk). Non-smoking house. Fishing possibilities at Bysjön (approx. 350 m) and several surrounding lakes. 4 bicycles, 1 children's bicycle.
Relaxation and activities:
The surroundings of our house offer many possibilities for relaxation: nature starts just behind the fence. From here you can go on bicycle tours, walks or even discovery tours by car. Several lakes invite you to swim and laze around. An indoor riding school, from which horseback riding is also offered, and a beautifully situated golf course are only 4 km away.
Vimmerby is a small, cosy town, but still offers a surprising amount: Shopping of all kinds, banks and restaurants, Astrid-Lindgren-Näs (birthplace with museum, events and concerts), Astrid-Lindgren-Värld (adventure park for children and adults), Bullerby and Katthult (filming locations for the Pippi Longstocking and Michel from Lönneberga films), Nils-Holgersons-Värld (Little Sweden, great high ropes course, kettcar, pedal boats, mini golf etc), Virum Elk Park, horse rides and farm life. Eriksgården. Baltic Sea with archipelago 45 km away (Västervik). Nature reserve with the Kvilleken, the largest oak in Europe, approx. 1000 years old. Further south in Småland: the famous glassworks with fascinating glass art. Boat on request. WLAN via stick possible, router available.
As the property is not directly on the lake, you have no problem with mosquitoes!

Location and surroundings of object

Swedish villa in Småland surrounded by forests, meadows and lakes: Lake Bysjön (nearest bathing lake) is 350m away, the beautiful Lake Borstingen 1000m. Ideal for walking, fishing, swimming, jogging and relaxing in front of the fireplace. The Baltic Sea with its famous archipelago is only 45 km away. Several cross-country ski trails nearby invite you to go cross-country skiing in winter. There are many hiking and walking trails, a golf course and horse riding facilities. Only a few kilometres away: the Nils-Holgerson world (climbing garden, miniature Sweden, kettcars), Bullerbyn and Katthult (filming locations) and much more.
It is only 5 km to the Astrid Lindgren town of Vimmerby with its picturesque town centre known from the Pippi Longstocking films. In summer there are concerts and events in the market square. Here you will find restaurants, shopping, an indoor ice rink (free to use outside training hours in winter, bring your helmet and skates!), an indoor tennis court, the Astrid Lindgren World and much more. Astrid Lindgren's Näs provides information about her life and shows changing exhibitions.

Pure Swedish happiness

This Swedish cottage is simply wonderful for getting to know Småland, enjoying nature, and relaxing. The house is so cozy; we were all completely relaxed here. We enjoyed the sauna, the beautiful rooms, played piano and games during the rain, and painted and drew in the dining room with kitchen access. The garden is large, and we took bike rides to lakes and hiked in the forest. When looking out the window, I always expected to see a moose in the garden - the house is situated in the midst of nature and yet so close to Vimmerby. A wonderful time, thank you!

Relaxation in the middle of nature

We, a family with 3 children, had quiet and relaxing days in Vimmerby. Short distances to all the attractions from Astrid Lindgren's stories. Friendly neighbors and great excursion tips from the host that we used. The house had everything one needed. Nothing was missing.

The boat that belongs to the house was the highlight for the children. We can highly recommend the house.

Fantastic holiday home

We had a wonderful holiday in this gorgeous holiday home in the summer. The house is very comfortably furnished, so we immediately felt at home. The garden is large and suitable for playing and romping with the children and the dog. The area is very good for relaxing and unwinding. But there are also many possibilities for excursions, walks, boat trips and so on. The landlords are very nice, helpful and understanding! We are really looking forward to our next holiday in this holiday home, which is already booked.Thank you for the wonderful time!!!! We have great memories of it!
