The castle is ideal for travel groups or large families of 10 or more and offers a unique ambience for all occasions. The house exudes a special charm and the unique nostalgic furnishing style invites you to a little time travel through past style eras. A total of 7 double beds, 4 single beds and 2 bunk beds, 5 showers, 5 toilets, some separate, and an additional 6 washbasins in the bed rooms are available on 5 floors. On the ground floor there is a modern and well-equipped kitchen, which connects the entrance area with the dining room. The dining room can be divided by a sliding door as required. In the entrance area of the house is a 60m² terrace surrounded by rocks, forest and meadow. In the basement there is a cellar bar with tiled stove and bar counter, which can be optionally booked for use. In the utility room you will find a washing machine and tumble dryer for free use. You can use free Wi-Fi throughout the house, as well as satellite TV and internet radio. Pets are very welcome in our house.

The castle is idyllically situated above the village of Schleusegrund on a rock and has a spacious outdoor area with its own driveway and parking facilities. Schleusegrund is located in the green heart of the Thuringian Forest on the south-western slope of the Rennsteig and is one of the most charming recreational areas of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Vessertal - Thuringian Forest. The large surrounding contiguous forest area with numerous mountain meadows is criss-crossed by a very well signposted network of paths where hikers, cyclists, mountain bikers and winter sports enthusiasts can enjoy the enchanting nature.

Cancellation terms:
In the event of a cancellation, 80% of the basic price will be charged as cancellation fees, regardless of the timing. The reason for this is that group houses are generally booked very early on and less often at short notice. Should a cancellation occur, we will make the house available for re-rental. If the house is successfully re-rented, the cancellation fees will be reduced accordingly.
