Enchanting place to relax

We came to Sommen for the first time after a week in western Sweden. The place is a bit remote - and therefore just the right thing if you need some time out. Digital detox included ;) The reception is completely sufficient for short research and phone calls
We were able to go for nice hikes and walks. We had a lot of fun on the boat - a big extra thank you for the all-round service. Everything is provided (life jackets even for the dog), labelled and explained.

The house is really well equipped down to the mixer and baking tin and everything has its place. It is obvious that a well organised and tidy couple are watching over this place. We really enjoyed that
The well-stocked bookshelf is worth mentioning. There are even mushroom guides to be found
Above the beautiful house there are blueberries and raspberries, cherries were everywhere to be picked - a paradise for wild herb fans
We were there at the beginning of August and the cottage settlement was rather quiet - even by the lake
The house is a little dark inside - but there are plenty of candles and sufficient lighting (the trees also provide plenty of shade on the terrace - just right for those sensitive to the sun)
All in all, the beautiful cottage saved our Swedish holiday

A vacation home for pure relaxation

We really know a lot of holiday homes or apartments, but the "Timmer Stuga Rönnäs" by Mrs. Neschen is one of the best ones we have had the pleasure of getting to know. It is wonderfully equipped and, as it is also privately used, very lovingly furnished. The wooden house is simply wonderful, located right in the middle of nature - just perfect for relaxing. We took advantage of many of the possibilities such as cycling, swimming, (unsuccessful, because we had no idea) fishing, boating, hiking, mushroom and/or berry picking, and much more. Since it is about 10 km to the nearest shopping option, "Asby Lanthandel," there was a half point deduction from perfection. By the way: the "Räkmacka" (shrimp sandwich) there is an absolute recommendation (Thank you Mrs. Neschen). We will gladly come back.

Wunderschöner Urlaub

We would like to thank you for 2 weeks of absolute peace and relaxation. The house is very attractive, equipped with everything you need. We have taken many beautiful walks with our dog and have frequently been out on the motorboat.

Summer vacation

Well-equipped house, very friendly landlords who were always reachable. Beautiful surroundings with the possibility to ride bicycles, hike, and engage in sports. We liked Ödesjö better than Sommen. There, we also caught fish and went swimming. Swimming in Sommen was also very nice. We found many mushrooms and berries and picked wild cherries.

Relaxing holiday in a great holiday home

Thank you very much for two wonderful, very relaxing weeks in this wonderful holiday home! The pictures understate the true condition of the house. It is soooo lovingly furnished with everything a holidaymaker's heart desires. As we spent our holiday at the end of September, we used the privilege of the sauna quite often when we came back from our extensive hikes or fishing. At this time of year, we were virtually alone in the area, as the surrounding holiday homes were hardly occupied or visited. Wonderful! We enjoyed it. The landlady looked after us lovingly by phone and with all kinds of useful information in advance and also in written form deposited in the house. We can only recommend this house. Suitable for families with children, for those seeking peace and quiet, for adventurers. Everyone should get their money's worth here. In summer, the nearby lake is certainly fantastic. We also fished there successfully (eels around 70-80 cm). Mushrooms were found and eaten. The country store in Asby has everything you need for daily life. The cottage was very clean and well maintained. Thank you!

wonderful winter holiday

Since there are only reviews for the summer here, we would like to share our impressions from the winter.
We stayed in the holiday home with our dog in February 2018. In winter, you are almost alone in the small holiday home settlement.
The house is very cosy with an open fireplace and sauna. The area is ideal for hiking or simply enjoying the snow
enjoy the snow. We have rarely been so relaxed. Everything is taken care of in the house. Nothing was missing. We will gladly come back.
Our dog would have loved to stay.

Traumhafter Urlaub

This house is a dream and corresponds to the description of the very nice landlady. Lovingly furnished and equipped with pretty much everything you need for a perfect holiday. Depending on your desire for sunlight and the time of day, there are numerous options to sit outside and enjoy nature. The lake is also fantastic, where you can swim, fish in the clear water, or simply sit on the shore in the sun. With the motorboat belonging to the house, you can go on small and larger excursions on the clear waters of Lake Sommen to make a stop at one of the nearly 300 islands. The house and the area are recommended for simply letting your soul unwind in the great nature or as a starting point for trips in the surrounding area. For example, to Astrid Lindgren's World in Vimmerby, Michel's (or Emil's) Katthult farm, or other destinations in Småland. Also worth a visit is the island Torpön, reachable by a quaint ferry, only 20-25 km from the house. A tour around Lake Sommen with a fantastic swimming spot in Blavik is worthwhile. Additionally, the cities Linköping, Jönköping, and Eksjö are relatively easy to reach. In the nearby town of Tranas (approximately 35 km away), you can find everything you need for daily life. A cozy small town with lovely shops that invite you for shopping. We had a fantastic holiday with our two children (19 and 12) and definitely fell in love with this house and Sweden. That's why we will be there again next year. We are already looking forward to it.

A dream house

The house was not easy to find, but when we found it, we could only say "Just great". The house literally grows out of the small hill and with the grass and the little trees on the roof, we felt transported to a fairy tale. The house is rustically furnished and very cosy. The white couch became a sunbathing area for us in the evenings. All three of us had plenty of space on it. The kitchen is a bit dark, but it has everything you need for cooking, etc. The most beautiful thing for us, however, was the kitchen. The best thing for us was the motorboat, which we used to explore part of the beautiful Sommensee. We would love to come back again, but not just for a week.

Perfect holiday

This was the fourth time we stayed at the Timmer Stuga and, as always, we had that holiday feeling from the very first minute! The wonderful
beautiful and very well equipped house simply invites you to feel good. The contact with the landlady was, as always, very friendly, caring and helpful
helpful. Our highlight was, as always, the small motorboat with which you can conquer the countless lonely islands of Lake Sommen.
Before that, we picked blueberries (almost) in front of the house, baked a cake and went to the island! Perfect! Rönnäs is an ideal starting point for
Visits to Vimmerby, Bullerbü, Gränna, Eksjö..... But we could also experience exciting things in Rönnäs: Helicopter flights for little money
over the lake Sommen! Our absolute holiday highlight this year! We would like to come back again! Thank you for everything!

Dream holiday

Fantastic house in fantastic surroundings. The holiday home is very well maintained and clean. All the promised services are available. The lovely landlady took a lot of trouble with the description/route etc. Communication was also very nice. If you want to spend a holiday at the very clean lake Sommen in combination with relaxation, this is the perfect place. In any case, we are clearly thinking of repeating the trip next year.

great house

one could now repeat what various previous tenants have already described, but that is not necessary. Briefly
and to the point - it is worth going to Rönnäs and this great house. Even in bad weather, and we had plenty of that,
it's a great place to relax. If the time is right, we will definitely come back.
