A dream?

We were able to enjoy the house for 2 weeks. 2 adults, 2 teenagers, and 1 dog were on vacation together.

House: The house has been nicknamed "Hobbit House" by us. A quaint wooden house with a green roof. It blends wonderfully into the forest landscape.

In the house, you will find everything you need. A fully equipped kitchen, including a dishwasher, stove and oven, table and 4 chairs, refrigerator, and a large freezer. A fireplace, a sauna, 3 bedrooms, 1 laundry room with a washing machine and clothes rack, a large sofa, a bookshelf full of exciting books, a television, stereo system, outdoor games such as darts, boules, frisbee, badminton, water ball, grill and charcoal, a veranda with a table and 4 chairs, life jackets for the motorboat, which is located at the easily accessible boat spot (also for the dog :-), gasoline tank, anchor, dog bowls and brushes, leash, and much more.

There are 2 soccer goals and 1 volleyball net on the way to the boat spot. So don't forget the ball!

Despite being a Wi-Fi-free zone, even our teenagers were well entertained:
We were often on the Summensee with the boat. We explored some of the numerous islands, relaxed and let the dog swim, and tried our hand at fishing. A lot of fun for everyone! It is also worth exploring the forests and hiking trails as there is a lot to see: mushrooms, berries, other lakes...

Blueberries grow almost behind the house. We picked them and made a cake, which was very delicious!

Since we were not really drawn to civilization, we only made 2 trips: Astrid Lindgren Park and Elk Park (each about 1 hour drive away).

In Sweden, you will be relaxed - that's how it should be.

It was the first time in Sweden for us! But certainly not the last time!

Here you can relax!

My husband and I (both in our mid-50s) had a very relaxed vacation.
The cute cottage has everything you could wish for (including NO Wi-Fi).
We went hiking, took bike rides, read a lot, and thoroughly enjoyed the sauna.
All the people in the area are very nice, we were always greeted and had some nice chats with some of them.
That was definitely not the last time in Sweden!

Enchanting place to relax

We came to Sommen for the first time after a week in western Sweden. The place is a bit remote - and therefore just the right thing if you need some time out. Digital detox included ;) The reception is completely sufficient for short research and phone calls
We were able to go for nice hikes and walks. We had a lot of fun on the boat - a big extra thank you for the all-round service. Everything is provided (life jackets even for the dog), labelled and explained.

The house is really well equipped down to the mixer and baking tin and everything has its place. It is obvious that a well organised and tidy couple are watching over this place. We really enjoyed that
The well-stocked bookshelf is worth mentioning. There are even mushroom guides to be found
Above the beautiful house there are blueberries and raspberries, cherries were everywhere to be picked - a paradise for wild herb fans
We were there at the beginning of August and the cottage settlement was rather quiet - even by the lake
The house is a little dark inside - but there are plenty of candles and sufficient lighting (the trees also provide plenty of shade on the terrace - just right for those sensitive to the sun)
All in all, the beautiful cottage saved our Swedish holiday

Ein Ferienhaus für Erholung pur

Wir kennen wirklich viele Ferienhäuser bzw. -wohnungen, aber das "Timmer Stuga Rönnäs" von Frau Neschen ist eins der besten, die wir kennenlernen durften. Es ist toll ausgestattet und da es auch privat genutzt wird, sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Das Holzhaus ist einfach herrlich mitten in der Natur gelegen - zum Entspannen genau das richtige. Wir haben viele der Möglichkeiten genutzt wie Radfahren, Baden, (erfolgloses, weil keine Ahnung) Angeln, Bootfahren, Wandern, Pilze oder/und Beeren suchen u.v.m.. Da es ca. 10 km bis zum "Asby Lanthandel", der nächsten Einkaufsmöglichkeit sind, gab es einen halben Punkt Abzug von der Perfektion. Übrigens: das "Räkmacka" (Garnelenbrot) dort ist eine absolute Empfehlung (Danke Frau Neschen). Wir kommen gern wieder.

Wunderschöner Urlaub

Wir bedanken uns für 2 Wochen absolute Ruhe und Entspannung. Das Haus ist sehr ansprechend, mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Wir haben mit unserem Hund viele schöne Spaziergänge unternommen und waren sehr häufig mit den Motorboot unterwegs.

Sommerurlaub

Gut ausgestattetes Haus, sehr freundliche Vermieter, die immer erreichbar waren. Schöne Umgebung mit der Möglichkeit Fahrrad zu fahren und zu wandern, sowie Sport zu machen. Uns hat der Ödesjö besser gefallen als der Sommen. Dort haben wir auch Fische gefangen und gebadet. Baden im Sommen war auch sehr schön. Wir haben viele Pilze und Beeren gefunden und wilde Kirschen gepflückt.

Relaxing holiday in a great holiday home

Thank you very much for two wonderful, very relaxing weeks in this wonderful holiday home! The pictures understate the true condition of the house. It is soooo lovingly furnished with everything a holidaymaker's heart desires. As we spent our holiday at the end of September, we used the privilege of the sauna quite often when we came back from our extensive hikes or fishing. At this time of year, we were virtually alone in the area, as the surrounding holiday homes were hardly occupied or visited. Wonderful! We enjoyed it. The landlady looked after us lovingly by phone and with all kinds of useful information in advance and also in written form deposited in the house. We can only recommend this house. Suitable for families with children, for those seeking peace and quiet, for adventurers. Everyone should get their money's worth here. In summer, the nearby lake is certainly fantastic. We also fished there successfully (eels around 70-80 cm). Mushrooms were found and eaten. The country store in Asby has everything you need for daily life. The cottage was very clean and well maintained. Thank you!

wonderful winter holiday

Since there are only reviews for the summer here, we would like to share our impressions from the winter.
We stayed in the holiday home with our dog in February 2018. In winter, you are almost alone in the small holiday home settlement.
The house is very cosy with an open fireplace and sauna. The area is ideal for hiking or simply enjoying the snow
enjoy the snow. We have rarely been so relaxed. Everything is taken care of in the house. Nothing was missing. We will gladly come back.
Our dog would have loved to stay.

Traumhafter Urlaub

Dieses Haus ist ein Traum und entspricht der Beschreibung der sehr netten Vermieterin. Liebevoll eingerichtet und ausgestattet mit so ziemlich allem, was man für einen perfekten Urlaub so braucht. Je nach Sonnenhunger und Tageszeit gibt es zahlreiche Möglichkeiten draußen zu sitzen und die Natur zu genießen.Traumhaft auch der See, wo man in dem klaren Wasser des Sees schwimmen, angeln oder einfach nur am Ufer in der Sonne sitzen kann. Mit dem zum Haus gehörenden Motorboot kann man kleine und größere Ausflüge auf dem klaren Wasser des Sees Sommen unternehmen um auf einer der fast 300 Inseln Halt zu machen.Das Haus und die Gegend empfehlen sich, um in der tollen Natur einfach mal die Seele baumeln zu lassen oder aber auch als Ausgangspunkt für Touren in die Umgebung. Zum Beispiel zu Astrid Lindgreens Welt in Vimmerby, Michels (oder Emils)Katthulthof oder andere Ziele in Smaland. Auch einen Besuch wert ist die mit einer urigen Fähre zu erreichende Insel Torpön, nur 20-25 Km vom Haus entfernt. Hier lohnt sich eine Umrundung des Sommensees mit traumhafter Badestelle in Blavik. Außerdem sind die Städte Linköping, Jönköping und Eksjö relativ schnell zu erreichen. In der naheliegenden Stadt Tranas ( Entfernung ca. 35 Km ) erhält man alles, was man zum Leben braucht. Eine gemütliche kleine Stadt, die mit sehr schönen Geschäften zum einkaufen einlädt. Wir hatten mit unseren beiden Kindern ( 19 und 12 ) einen phantastischen Urlaub und haben uns auf jeden Fall in dieses Haus und in Schweden verliebt.Deshalb sind wir auch im nächsten Jahr wieder dort. Wir freuen uns schon riesig.

A dream house

The house was not easy to find, but when we found it, we could only say "Just great". The house literally grows out of the small hill and with the grass and the little trees on the roof, we felt transported to a fairy tale. The house is rustically furnished and very cosy. The white couch became a sunbathing area for us in the evenings. All three of us had plenty of space on it. The kitchen is a bit dark, but it has everything you need for cooking, etc. The most beautiful thing for us, however, was the kitchen. The best thing for us was the motorboat, which we used to explore part of the beautiful Sommensee. We would love to come back again, but not just for a week.

Perfect holiday

This was the fourth time we stayed at the Timmer Stuga and, as always, we had that holiday feeling from the very first minute! The wonderful
beautiful and very well equipped house simply invites you to feel good. The contact with the landlady was, as always, very friendly, caring and helpful
helpful. Our highlight was, as always, the small motorboat with which you can conquer the countless lonely islands of Lake Sommen.
Before that, we picked blueberries (almost) in front of the house, baked a cake and went to the island! Perfect! Rönnäs is an ideal starting point for
Visits to Vimmerby, Bullerbü, Gränna, Eksjö..... But we could also experience exciting things in Rönnäs: Helicopter flights for little money
over the lake Sommen! Our absolute holiday highlight this year! We would like to come back again! Thank you for everything!

Dream holiday

Fantastic house in fantastic surroundings. The holiday home is very well maintained and clean. All the promised services are available. The lovely landlady took a lot of trouble with the description/route etc. Communication was also very nice. If you want to spend a holiday at the very clean lake Sommen in combination with relaxation, this is the perfect place. In any case, we are clearly thinking of repeating the trip next year.

great house

one could now repeat what various previous tenants have already described, but that is not necessary. Briefly
and to the point - it is worth going to Rönnäs and this great house. Even in bad weather, and we had plenty of that,
it's a great place to relax. If the time is right, we will definitely come back.
