In this small, well-maintained holiday village, there is a community swimming pool that is open all year round. The gîte has a well fenced garden with a babecue and a kitchenette on the terrace. A pleasant staircase leads to the 2 bedrooms on the first floor. Each room has a double bed and a single bed. On the ground floor, there is a bathroom with shower and toilet, as well as a well-equipped open kitchen. The living room is equipped with a dining table, chairs and 2 sofas.

Hands off

We are a family with three children and a dog. Yesterday, after a 10-hour drive, we arrived at the house. After a brief introduction, the owner left, commenting that the cleaning lady had not emptied the vacuum cleaner. We started to unpack our things, and in the kitchen, I first cleaned and disinfected all surfaces; everything was sticky and dirty. After that, we went up to the sleeping quarters to make the beds, first had to unpack a fitted sheet, which was still new and of course not washed. Up on the bunk bed, everything was also full of dust and stained, I cleaned there too. In the sleeping room with the large bed, there were maggots (droppings, living beings) on the two blankets. It was clear that we couldn't stay there. We called the owner, who came immediately and said that it was droppings from a lizard. Additionally, the dessert lamp was broken, we reported this to her right away because she asked us to let her know if anything was wrong, she claimed it was us. In the fridge, we discovered a nearly empty pack of salami with dried-up remnants of salami. We did not want to stay in the house, she refunded us the money we paid on-site but kept the deposit/security. The woman was provocative and immediately called the man from the neighborhood for support so that he could confirm that it was just feces from a lizard. We kindly asked her to transfer the money to us; she said she would still include the lamp in the bill. We were in the house for two hours and set off to find accommodation.

Aber falls Sie die Familie Fischer sind, die bei uns privat gebucht hat finde ich es schade, dass Sie nicht mit ihrem Namen eine Kritik Posten .
Folgendes möchte ich gerne zu dieser Bewertung sagen, falls sie von Familie Fischer kommt.
Familie Fischer hat über mehrere Ferienausseiten immer wieder die gleiche Anfrage gestellt und von mir jeweils eine Zusage bekommen, dass das Ferienhaus frei sei. Privat über WhatsApp würde das nochmals bestätigt. Familie Fischer 2 Erwachsene und ein großer Hund hat von .ihr dann einen guten Preis für 10 Tage bekommen und zugesagt.
Nach den Gästen April bis ca Mitte Mai ( ein Reizendes Paar mit Hund) wurde ca 1,5 Wochen vor der Anreise vor der Familie Fischer professionell geputzt und das Haus kontrolliert. Nach der Abreise der letzten Gäste habe ich die Abnahme gemacht. Das Haus war top sauber und es war nichts kaputt. Am Tag der Anreise vom Familie Fischer wurde das Haus noch einmal von Nachbarn und der Putzfrau begangen. Es war nichts defekt, das Haus war sauber.
Nun reiste die Familie Fischer ca. 3 std. vor der offiziellen Anreiseuhrzeit ( ab 16 Uhr) an. Ich war bereit mein Pfingstessen bei Freunden zu unterbrechen und habe die Schlüssel übergeben. Wir sind gemeinsam durch das Haus gegangen, haben gemeinsam in die Geräte geschaut. Ich habe das saubere duschsyphon herausgeholt und gezeigt. Keiner von uns hat die 2 kleinen Geckoköttel gesehen.
Die Familie war einverstanden und hat gezahlt. W LAN habe ich dann auch noch zur Verfügung gestellt obwohl es nicht bestellt war und bin zurück zu meinen Freunden.
Etwa 2 Stunden später, nachdem die Kinder in einem Zimmer die Betten gemacht hatten und das Haus schon eingeräumt war, schickte man mir ein Foto von einer defekten Lampe, mit der Aussage, dass sie schon defekt gewesen sei. Was nicht stimmen kann, da das 3 Personen bezeugen können. Genau wie die Sauberkeit des Hauses. Leider können sie hier keine Bewertung abgeben. Sie sind aber bereit, falls. Nötig an ferienhausmiete zu schreiben.
In einem Punkt gebe ich der Familie Fischer Recht. Es hat sich wohl ein Gecko in das Haus verirrt, was im Süden öfter vorkommt und leider jeweils genau einmal auf je eine Bettdecke seinen kot fallen lassen. Ich bin sofort nach dem Anruf der Familie Fischer zurück zum Haus und bat an, die gesamte Bettwäsche zu erneuern und die Putzfrau war bereit sofort zu kommen und noch einmal zu desinfizieren. Ein Nachbar den ich hinzu geholt hatte um den Kot zu identifizieren hat das alles mitgehört. Frau Fischer verlangte aber ihr Geld zurück und ich stimmte zu weil ich keine Lust auf unglückliche Gäste habe. Ich hab also das Geld zurück, betonte aber, dass sie uns eigentlich die Möglichkeit geben müsste das in Ordnung zu bringen. Familie Fischer hinterlies mir Obstreste in der Spüle, bezogene Bettwäsche, Hundehaare und das Haus musste noch einmal komplett geputzt werden.
Am nächsten Tag war ich mit anderen Hausbesitzern im Haus auf Geckosuche und ich bat sie zu prüfen ob Oberflächen kleben. Was natürlich nicht der Fall war. leider haben wir wir den gecko nicht gefunden. Ich hoffe er ist wieder ausgezogen, denn ich habe sämtliche Kissen und Decken noch einmal gewaschen und das Haus geputzt und desinfiziert.
Natürlich kann eine Putzfrau mal etwas übersehen, deshalb ist sie auch bereit bei Kritik noch einmal zu kommen. Aber zu behaupten, dass alles klebt ist schlicht unwahr.

Uncomplicated vacation

We had a really great stay in the holiday home in Portiragnes. The accommodation was cozily furnished and very well equipped – especially nice at this time were the quiet location and the proximity to the beach and restaurants, so everything could be reached easily on foot. The surroundings are very beautiful and natural with a lovely lagoon for walking.

The outdoor area with a terrace with sun exposure and a grill was perfect for winding down the evening. The hostess was friendly, helpful, and always reachable. We would only recommend a larger wardrobe, especially when traveling in the off-season, as you tend to have more jackets with you. Overall, a very relaxing vacation – we would come back anytime and can absolutely recommend the accommodation.

Top Vacation

We were guests in the beautiful holiday home for two weeks in April and had a wonderful vacation there. The house is cozily furnished and in great condition. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there are two bedrooms on the upper floor, which can be reached via a comfortable staircase. One of them has a super loft bed. There is a beautiful partially covered terrace where you can find a shady spot during the day, and you have the option to cook and grill outside. The host was super nice, welcomed us warmly, and even allowed us to check in 2 hours earlier on the day of arrival. What we also really liked was the quiet location and the proximity to the beach, the surrounding restaurants and shopping options, a beautiful nature reserve, a dream for our dog. We had a really nice, relaxing, and uncomplicated vacation. We can only recommend this holiday home based on our positive experience and would love to come back.

Great house and uncomplicated, relaxing vacation

The kitchen equipment leaves nothing to be desired, and it has two bedrooms on the upper floor, which can be reached via a comfortable staircase. One of them has a super loft bed. There is a beautiful partially covered terrace where you can find a shady spot during the day, and you have the option to cook and grill outside. The hostess was super nice, welcomed us warmly, and even allowed us to check into the accommodation 2 hours earlier on the day of arrival. What we also really liked was the quiet property and the proximity to the beach, the surrounding restaurants and shopping options, a beautiful nature reserve, a dream for our dog. Enjoying the simple life..

. . a great place for a wonderfully nice vacation! We were here with our 2 children. A friendly family was also staying at the resort at the same time. Also due to the great location of the house and the beautiful and friendly complex, we had a wonderful, relaxing holiday. On the green, partly covered terrace, you can also enjoy being there in July/August during midday. The house itself is decorated with a lot of attention to detail. We lacked nothing. It also offers enough space for staying inside, as it is one of the larger houses in the complex. Because it is a corner house, it can be well ventilated. The children (12 and 8 years old) could use the pool with us or on their own. Directly in front of the complex, there is a public pétanque court, which we also used several times in the evening. The beach can be easily reached on foot via nice walkways, so we were there partly in the morning and in the afternoon. Portiragnes Plage is a relaxed holiday resort with mostly vacation rentals and central squares with nice restaurants. Many French people spend their holidays here. In the adjacent nature reserve, you can also go for a good run or walk, or ride a bike early in the summer. In the mornings, regular markets take place, where we stocked up on lunch or dinner (chicken, stuffed cuttlefish, paella). In the evenings, concerts and night markets are held at different locations. Everyone can enjoy themselves here without stress. The contact with the landlord was always friendly, uncomplicated, and accommodating. We will definitely come back!

comfortable stairs and good facilities

Since we were very happy with our hosts last year, we decided to stay in their house again. Again, we did not regret it. The welcome was very warm, a broken bulb in the bathroom was replaced immediately. The house was pre-heated and the bed linen and towels were also ready. We flew in, so we had to arrive on a Friday, which was no problem. The cottage has everything you need including a cooking facility outside, which we could still make good use of in October. The special thing about this house is the comfortable staircase leading to the two bedrooms. In October it is already very quiet in this place, but if you love nature, you are in good hands here. The beach and the nature reserve are within walking distance. A paradise for dogs.

Uncomplicated pure relaxation ...

House: It is comfortably furnished and yes, it really looks as nice there as in the pictures. Especially in France, we had experienced something different! The equipment is complete and in good condition. If something is missing or broken, the landlord is quick and helpful. And, important: they speak German ...
The green yard is fenced (good for children and dogs) and partly roofed (good for drying clothes and in case of rain)
By the way: barbecuing (coal & electric available) is still fun in autumn!

Site: it is small and manageable. There is a private car park on the secured grounds. It is only a few minutes' walk to the shops (bakery, minimarkets) and to the beautiful beach. We could reach larger supermarkets in Cers and Villeneuve les Beziers easily and quickly by car.

Food: There are also numerous good restaurants just a few minutes' walk away. The prices are comparable to those in Germany. Tip: Mussels and fresh fish!
At the time we travelled (Easter and autumn), the classic "tourist restaurants" were closed and only those for locals were still open.

Excursion destinations (within 1 hour): Pezenas (old town), Valras Plage, Grau d'Agde, Beziers, Grotte de Clamouse with Pont du diable, St-Guillhem-le-Dessert, Gruissan

Landlords: They are simply warm and lovely. We can judge that because we have already been here six times for our holidays and we would like to come again. Guaranteed!
