Description
In this small, well-maintained holiday village, there is a community swimming pool that is open all year round. The gîte has a well fenced garden with a babecue and a kitchenette on the terrace. A pleasant staircase leads to the 2 bedrooms on the first floor. Each room has a double bed and a single bed. On the ground floor, there is a bathroom with shower and toilet, as well as a well-equipped open kitchen. The living room is equipped with a dining table, chairs and 2 sofas.

Enjoying the simple life..
. . a great place for a wonderfully nice vacation! We were here with our 2 children. A friendly family was also staying at the resort at the same time. Also due to the great location of the house and the beautiful and friendly complex, we had a wonderful, relaxing holiday. On the green, partly covered terrace, you can also enjoy being there in July/August during midday. The house itself is decorated with a lot of attention to detail. We lacked nothing. It also offers enough space for staying inside, as it is one of the larger houses in the complex. Because it is a corner house, it can be well ventilated. The children (12 and 8 years old) could use the pool with us or on their own. Directly in front of the complex, there is a public pétanque court, which we also used several times in the evening. The beach can be easily reached on foot via nice walkways, so we were there partly in the morning and in the afternoon. Portiragnes Plage is a relaxed holiday resort with mostly vacation rentals and central squares with nice restaurants. Many French people spend their holidays here. In the adjacent nature reserve, you can also go for a good run or walk, or ride a bike early in the summer. In the mornings, regular markets take place, where we stocked up on lunch or dinner (chicken, stuffed cuttlefish, paella). In the evenings, concerts and night markets are held at different locations. Everyone can enjoy themselves here without stress. The contact with the landlord was always friendly, uncomplicated, and accommodating. We will definitely come back!

comfortable stairs and good facilities
Since we were very happy with our hosts last year, we decided to stay in their house again. Again, we did not regret it. The welcome was very warm, a broken bulb in the bathroom was replaced immediately. The house was pre-heated and the bed linen and towels were also ready. We flew in, so we had to arrive on a Friday, which was no problem. The cottage has everything you need including a cooking facility outside, which we could still make good use of in October. The special thing about this house is the comfortable staircase leading to the two bedrooms. In October it is already very quiet in this place, but if you love nature, you are in good hands here. The beach and the nature reserve are within walking distance. A paradise for dogs.

Uncomplicated pure relaxation ...
House: It is comfortably furnished and yes, it really looks as nice there as in the pictures. Especially in France, we had experienced something different! The equipment is complete and in good condition. If something is missing or broken, the landlord is quick and helpful. And, important: they speak German ...
The green yard is fenced (good for children and dogs) and partly roofed (good for drying clothes and in case of rain)
By the way: barbecuing (coal & electric available) is still fun in autumn!
Site: it is small and manageable. There is a private car park on the secured grounds. It is only a few minutes' walk to the shops (bakery, minimarkets) and to the beautiful beach. We could reach larger supermarkets in Cers and Villeneuve les Beziers easily and quickly by car.
Food: There are also numerous good restaurants just a few minutes' walk away. The prices are comparable to those in Germany. Tip: Mussels and fresh fish!
At the time we travelled (Easter and autumn), the classic "tourist restaurants" were closed and only those for locals were still open.
Excursion destinations (within 1 hour): Pezenas (old town), Valras Plage, Grau d'Agde, Beziers, Grotte de Clamouse with Pont du diable, St-Guillhem-le-Dessert, Gruissan
Landlords: They are simply warm and lovely. We can judge that because we have already been here six times for our holidays and we would like to come again. Guaranteed!
