Description

The wheelchair-accessible **** holiday flat is located on the ground floor of our otherwise self-occupied detached house. It consists of a living room with satellite TV, fully equipped kitchen with microwave;
2 bedrooms with 1 double bed each (possibly + 1 guest bed) and radio alarm clock, bathroom with shower. The flat also has a lovingly landscaped garden and a terrace with garden furniture and sun loungers.

Location and surroundings of object

The apartment is located in the district of Feichten reach approximately 1 km outside of Waging and is a few minutes by bike or on foot along the bike path, or by car. Waging, located at the warmest lake in Upper Bavaria, is nestled in the rolling landscape of the foothills. Most guests come for swimming or relaxing on the lake. But the central location between the Chiemsee and Salzburg is also a popular starting point for many excursions in the immediate vicinity or area (Munich, Salzburg, Altötting, Berchtesgaden, etc). Waging is also very popular with cyclists and walkers and also for families. As determined will not be bored.

Optimal vacation rental for wheelchair users

We spent 2 weeks in this very clean and well-equipped apartment. A request for a second pillow was quickly fulfilled. Good location to go directly from the apartment to the lake with a wheelchair, given the availability of an electric towing device/handbike! Nice tours possible, including very wheelchair-friendly Salzburg! Would be happy to come again!

Top Holiday Apartment

Top Apartment
We spent 2 weeks in the vacation rental. The apartment is very nice and fully equipped, everything you need and furnished with love and passion. Outstandingly, what is really worth mentioning is the cleanliness of the apartment, absolutely top. The location is quiet and close to the lake. No problem with a car or bike.
All in all, highly recommended; we rode our bikes a lot. The signage of the bike paths in the area is very, very good. Recommended for: Cyclists, Hikers, Adventure & Experience, Families with Children, Culture & Sightseeing

Top holiday flat

There were four of us here (a couple with 2 teenagers). The flat is very spacious, decorated and equipped with love. Nice and cool on hot summer days, but we also enjoyed sitting outside.
It is easy to explore the area by bike, and there is plenty to do in the surrounding area by car (mountains, lakes, Salzburg...)
We were completely satisfied and would gladly recommend the flat to others.

Top flat

We spent 2 weeks, three of us, in the apartment. The flat is very nice and fully equipped, everything you need and furnished with love and passion. What really has to be mentioned is the cleanliness of the flat, absolutely top. The location is quiet and about 3km away from the lake. But with car or bike no problem.
The only thing that was a bit annoying is that the bedroom windows have no mosquito protection. Despite the super comfortable beds, the mosquitoes annoyed us. Maybe they could be fixed.
All in all, only to recommend......

Holiday with the wheelchair 2017 in Feichten / Waging am See

We were warmly welcomed by the Mitterer family and were able to relax and enjoy the peace after our long journey. The rooms are very well laid out, and as a wheelchair user, I could move around easily and freely. Modern, cozy, and beautifully furnished, everything we needed was available. The only difficulty for me as a person with a disability was using the bathroom. The basin is low, and even with a toilet seat riser, I could not use it because the inner ring/diameter was too small. I am of average weight and 1.94m tall, but nonetheless, my buttocks did not fit on the raised toilet seat. The same problem occurred with the bed, where I also needed help from my wife and child because the bed was very low. I am in a wheelchair due to my primary progressive multiple sclerosis and hereditary spastic spinal paralysis. Nevertheless, it was a super cozy vacation with the Mitterer family.

In this beautiful area, there were good accessible destinations and restaurants with wheelchair-friendly handicapped accessible toilets. Eurokeys should always be carried with you!

P.S. Since the vacation rental was not right by the lake, we didn't have to worry about mosquitoes ;-) oh, and the house-owned honey from the Mitterer family is very delicious and highly recommendable.

Holiday with a wheelchair in Waging am See 2013

The apartment of the Mitterer family is very suitable for wheelchair users who cannot stand and walk and rely on an electric wheelchair. There is enough space in the living room for a care bed and sufficient turning space for a patient lift. Equally important for a wheelchair user, the shower is easily accessible without barriers, and the washbasin is accessible from under.

The apartment is very clean and well-equipped. Furthermore, it is pleasantly cool, which is soothing at 35 degrees. The landlords are very nice and helpful. What I also like is the offered internet access. Overall, many things are offered (e.g. underfloor heating, final cleaning and tourist tax included, bread service, etc.), which are not often found. The price is very fair, especially for disabled people who often have to dig deeper into their pockets for accommodation suitable for their disability. Under the given conditions, we were able to spend a relaxing vacation and would love to come back.

Vicinity of the holiday home: Die Ferienwohnung liegt im Ortsteil Feichten und ist etwa 2-3 km von Waging selbst entfernt. Der Ortsteil ist ruhig gelegen

free time activities: Der nahelegene Waginger See bietet die Möglichkeit zu schwimmen, Boot zu fahren. Wanderwege sind ebenfalls vorhanden, wenn auch teilweise neben den Verkehrsstraßen. Das Radwegnetz ist sehr gut ausgebaut. Ausflugsziele wie der Chiemsee, das Salzburger Land, Altötting, Traunstein, Bad Reichenhall, Berchtesgaden, Burghausen, Ruhpolding, um nur einige zu nennen sind relativ schnell zu erreichen. Viele Möglichkeiten sind auch aus Prospekten der Vermiter oder den Tourismuszentralen ersichtlich z.B. eine Fahrt mit der Kampelwand Bahn in Aschau, ein Besuch im Heimatmuseum etc. Einfach informieren. Es gibt vieles zu sehen und zu erleben.

shopping facilities: Märkte wie Edeka oder Aldi sind vorhanden auch diverse Bäckereien und Metzgereien (in Waging). Einkaufsmöglichkeiten bieten größere Orte wie Traunstein, Salzburg, Freilassing, Traunreut, Altötting, Bad Reichenhall.

Year-end celebrations in 2012 at the Mitterer family's

Together, we ended the year 2012 in the holiday apartment of the Mitterer family. We were warmly welcomed on the day of arrival and shown around the apartment. Nothing was missing, so the entire stay could be used for relaxation in the cozy apartment.

Vicinity of the holiday home: Die Ferienwohnung ist etwas abseits von Waging, sehr ruhig gelesen.

shopping facilities: Zahlreiche Supermärkte sowie die Waginger Innenstadt sind mit dem Auto sehr schnell zu erreichen. Es fehlt an nichts.
