Location and surroundings of object
Rittsteig is a winter fairytale with cross-country ski trails. Alpine skiing is possible on the local mountain Hohen Bogen. The leisure and sports facilities as well as excursion destinations are huge in our region. In our immediate vicinity you will find everything your heart desires. Take a deep breath while hiking on the Osser or Arberberg mountains in unspoilt forests or take a break in one of the mountain huts on the summits by chairlift. The European Hiking Trail and the Glass Route lead through Neukirchen. Visit the silver mine, the glassworks or pan for gold in the princely mine. Conquer castles, the ghost and fairytale castle and listen to the music events in Kultur im Schloss.
Fun is guaranteed at the Hoher Bogen Fun Park with its inline skating paradise, the Churpfalzspark or the children's forest stage. Dive into the Kötzting spa and our new natural swimming pool. Cycle through the Chamb or Regental valleys

In the local inns you can fortify yourself with a pint of beer and hearty farmer's bread, freshly caught trout or home-style cooking. Shopping facilities are also available in the border village of Rittsteig.
The crossing into the Czech Republic, at the remote village exit, does not disturb the peace at all, as the border is only open to pedestrians and cars. You will certainly appreciate a cheap purchase of spirits, cigarettes, clothing and petrol. A shopping trip to the towns of Taus and Klattau will make you hungry for Bohemian dumplings. Spoil yourself!
