Highly recommended (especially for bicycle tourists)

The 5 stars we awarded are 100% justified. Upon arrival, we received a very warm welcome (from experience, we can assess that this is not always a given). Peter provided intensive support when transporting our holiday luggage (also not something you can always expect!). The apartment was in impeccable clean condition and matched the information on the website. Everything we needed was available. When booking, an important criterion was a secure storage option for our 3 bicycles. The storage option offered to us in a very spacious, tidy, and lockable annex deserves extra praise. The farewell was just as warm as the greeting. Therefore, we can wholeheartedly recommend this holiday accommodation.

The two swans in September 2023

We were on the road in Egmond aan Zee with three people + dog and booked this apartment for this time. The car could be parked on an extra parking lot without fees. The accommodation is great and we can fully confirm the advertised contents as well as the positive criteria described by other holidaymakers. The apartment is beautiful, bright, and clean, and we felt very comfortable and well taken care of by Mr. and Mrs. Hoogerwerf the whole time. They were extraordinarily friendly and very helpful throughout.

This apartment is also highly recommended for dog owners, as the dog + owner can have a lot of exercise in the forest opposite. It is advisable to bring a bicycle or rent one on-site to fully enjoy the beauties of nature such as the dune reserve and secluded beaches. Alkmaar can also be explored by bicycle via a signposted bicycle tour. Amsterdam or Haarlem are also worth visiting by car.

We had a great time in the apartment.
Everything is available, clean and well-maintained - just everything to feel comfortable.
A parking space directly opposite the apartment is easy to reach.
A small path to the center of Egmond aan Zee is a nice walk.
The very, very nice landlord couple makes you feel even more comfortable.
We would love to come back.

Ein gelungener Urlaub

A successful holiday
Ineke and Peter are lovely and attentive hosts, always ready to help and give advice. The vacation home leaves nothing to be desired, it is excellently equipped and noticeably well-kept and clean. The car can be parked safely across the street and bicycles can be stored securely. In good weather, there are seating options available outdoors. The apartment is an excellent location for extensive bike tours, especially in the North Holland dune areas.

Dear landlords, nice accommodation and beautiful area

We, two adults with a small dog, spent a few beautiful days at Ineke and Peter's place. The two of them are incredibly warm, friendly, kind, helpful, and just lovely :-)

The accommodation is very clean and completely sufficient for us "three". There is a wider bed (1.60m) and a single bed in the adjoining room. The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, refrigerator, microwave, and coffee machine. The shower and toilet area is very spacious and clean. The backyard/garden has two seating areas. Your dog Zoe is a cozy, loving, and very calm German Shepherd.

A separate parking space is available on the other side of the street. Peter helped actively with unloading the car. As this is a main road, it is a bit busier during peak times (hence only 4 stars here).

The nearest village, Egmond aan Zee, and the way to the beach are about 2km and 2.5km away, respectively. Nearby there are supermarkets such as Lidl, Jumbo, or Albert Heijn. Across the street, a path leads to a small forest area, ideal for walking dogs. Those who come by bike have many opportunities to explore the area. The cheese market in Alkmaar is about 8km away and a real tourist attraction. The beaches are very clean with white sand, and there are dedicated areas for dogs. Once again, a big thank you to Ineke and Peter for a lovely time in their accommodation.

Schöner Familienurlaub

We stayed with Ineke and Peter for 14 days and felt very comfortable there. A very lovely couple who took good care of us. Our little son Jonas made friends with the sweet shepherd dog Zoe and enjoyed being spoiled with sweets by them. The accommodation was very clean and provided enough space for 3 people. Our son had his own room to sleep in and could rest well there. The way to the beach was a bit far for 4-year-old children's feet (approximately ...). 20 minutes), which is why the handcart was in daily use; otherwise, the location is really good. The center of Egmond aan Zee and the beach are within walking distance. A bakery and grocery store are located nearby. We went on many excursions because the starting point from there is really great (Alkmaar, Amsterdam, Haarlem, and various attractions, especially for children). The car is parked across the street in a private parking lot. All in all, a truly great and relaxing family vacation. We say thank you!

Top Ferienwohnung

I can only agree with the previous reviews. Very cute, beautiful, small, and well-maintained holiday home at the entrance of Egmont. You are quickly in the town and at the kilometers-long dream beach. The landlords were super nice and helpful, giving many tips and helping with packing and unpacking luggage. There is a parking space on the other side of the street. There is also a small forest where you can go for a great walk with your dog. A little tip for dog owners. On the beach, only free running is allowed before 10 am and after 7 pm during peak season. German television and Wi-Fi are also available. We would go there again anytime.

Herzlich und familiär

I couldn't have found a better place for my short break with my dog. Ineken and Peter are incredibly nice people, I felt very comfortable and have taken them to my heart. The apartment is very clean and equipped with everything you need. The center of Egmond is about a kilometer away and easily reachable on foot. Perfect is the fenced dog park located directly across the street, where you can let the dog run freely without any concerns. For us, it was perfect, and we will definitely come back. We, Amanda and I, highly recommend these two wonderful people and the cozy apartment in the garden! I could not have found a better place for my short vacation with my dog. Ineken and Peter are incredibly nice people, I felt very comfortable and they won my heart. The apartment is very clean and equipped with everything you need. The center of Egmond is just a kilometer away and very easy to reach on foot. Perfect is the fenced dog park located directly across the street, where you can let the dog run free without hesitation. Super holiday

We were here for 4 days in May 2022. It was very clean and friendly landlords. They were kind to people and animals.


Our dog played with the nice shepherd dog. We will come here again in April 2023 after Easter. What is missing is a comfortable couch in the living room. Otherwise the apartment has everything you need. 2 bedrooms, well equipped kitchen, nice bathroom and good beds. It is a bit far to the beach, about 20 minutes walk, but we combined that with our walk with the dogs. The adjacent forest is great for lingering and an evening walk with the dog. Everything is close by. Shopping facilities and the great little town of Egmond. Always happy to come back!!!!!!!!!!!

Great days in Holland.

A beautiful holiday week in Egmond aan Zee

Our stay in Ineke and Peter's holiday home was superb. A warm welcome by Ineke and Peter and their dog Zoë. Our stay was in a super clean and nicely decorated summer house for a fantastic week in Egmond aan Zee. The owners spare no effort to make the guests feel at home. Traumhaft schön

I was with my little sister at Ineke and Peter's place and from the beginning, we felt very comfortable and were warmly welcomed. The atmosphere, location, and holiday home were excellent. Relaxing vacation

I spent a short break there with my mother and my two dogs. We were warmly welcomed by the landlords Ineke and Peter, and they even helped to carry the luggage into the house. Ineke and Peter always had an open ear for questions and requests. The forest directly opposite was ideal for my daily dog walks. The town center and beach were about a 15-minute walk away. All in all, a nice time spent there.

Everything was wonderful.

All in all, a beautiful and very clean and friendly accommodation. Ideal starting point for bike tours and activities. The location slightly outside the town center was ideal for us, as we could walk our little dog right across the street. In the town center itself, which is heavily frequented by guests, this would probably not have been possible. It was also ideal to have a secure parking space right across from the house. What we particularly appreciated was the extremely friendly support from Ineke and Peter, who were open to all wishes and questions. We will come back whenever the opportunity arises.

Great! Definitely recommendable.

We spent a long weekend at the holiday home of Ineke and Peter. The two of them are super likable, friendly, helpful, and attentive. At the beginning, we were escorted to the car, and both helped to bring our bags into the house.

The holiday home is equipped with everything you need for a vacation, it is very clean and nicely decorated.

It took us 10-15 minutes to walk to the sea. The path is very pleasant and then you are already in the town of Egmond aan Zee and at the sea. We had our little dog with us who is afraid of big dogs. Ineke and Peter always made sure that the dogs were not outside together. Ineke and Peter's dog is a very, very kind dog.

All in all, it was a few super beautiful days. We will definitely come back.

Short trip May 2019 - gladly anytime again

First of all, I would like to mention that the landlords Ineke and Peter are very likable and helpful. For example, they helped us unpack the car and on the day of departure, we were allowed to vacate the apartment only around noon, which was very relaxing. Even our French Bulldog was warmly welcomed, which is not always easy in the Netherlands when searching for accommodation.

The apartment is equipped with everything needed for a short vacation and is very clean. The rooms are located in a row, meaning you go from the living room/kitchen to the bedroom, then to the single room, and at the end is the bathroom. Due to the layout of the holiday apartment, privacy is somewhat limited, for example, you have to walk through both bedrooms to get to the bathroom. We were three (grandma, daughter, and grandchild) there, felt super comfortable, and had a great time.

The house is located directly on the entrance and exit road to Egmond aan Zee. Nevertheless, it is quiet and you can start perfect bike tours towards Wijk aan Zee, Alkmaar, Bergen, etc. By bike, it takes about 5 minutes to reach the beach, on foot around 20-25 minutes. Across the street, there is a small forest through which you can also reach the city center of Egmond aan Zee if you prefer not to walk along the road. It is also a great place to walk the dog.

We recommend the holiday apartment, would love to come back, and thank Ineke and Peter again for their hospitality.
