This house for 4 to 6 people is located on the second floor of our beautiful villa in the green heart of Zandvoort. All around is a large garden and parking is free. The house has its own entrance door from the central staircase. There is a private living room, two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen and a separate toilet. The apartment has two bedrooms for two persons. The beds can be pushed apart. The living room has a sofa bed for 2 persons. The house is very suitable for families with children and parents / in-laws.
Around the house is a beautiful large garden. The garden is common, but you can use it naturally. The beach is 15 minutes walk and only 5 minutes by car. There is a parking space for a car in the front yard. Extra cars can be parked across the street for free.
We are both architects, and we carefully renovated and maintained the house, a 1905 monument. The apartment is fully equipped.

Location and surroundings of object
The apartment is a 10-minute walk from the center of Zandvoort. Shops and various supermarkets are nearby. The train station, from where the train goes to Amsterdam, is a 15-minute walk from the house. Trains run twice an hour. There is also a direct bus service to the center of Haarlem and the center of Amsterdam, 3 minutes walk from the house. The immediate area is quiet and green. There is a beautiful hiking area in the dunes in 5 minutes by car. The famous Zandvoort race track is also within walking distance. Of course, the main attraction is the North Sea, which is a 15-minute walk away. There are several beach pavilions, some of which are open year-round.

Somewhat disappointing
The pictures of the apartment did not match reality. Kitchen furniture and equipment were unclean, very used dishcloth.
Bed and table linens were heavily wrinkled, towels were sufficiently available but stained.
Dirty under the pull-out couch.
Price-performance ratio is not justified.

Tut uns leid das jetzt erst zu hören. Normalerweise ist alles sehr sauber, aber offenbar diesmal nicht ? Wir haben die Putzfrau gefragt weil wir selbst im Ausland waren. Nächtes Mal sagen Sie uns direkt, dann hatten wir die Putzfrau gefragt gleich alles in Ordnung zu machen für Sie.

Very nice accommodation
The accommodation at de Berk was the right decision for us. We were in Zandvoort with 5 people + a toddler and we are totally thrilled. The owners are very friendly and accommodating, and the location of the house is really great. Walks to the beach are just as possible as a trip to Amsterdam. We had a very nice time in a great place and a very clean and well-maintained accommodation. Thank you and we will definitely come back :-)

Is cleanliness important?
could have been cleaner:
- dirty and wet dishes in the cupboard
- cat hair on all cushions on the terrace
- dusty surfaces in the bedrooms
- old chicken parts in the freezer... and greasy ice cube trays
- sticky kitchen surfaces
recommend for: cultural and sightseeing holiday

Wir haben immer sehr zufrieden Gäste :) Letzte Sommer hat es einmal eine grosse Gruppe gegeben die es sehr schmutzig hintergelassen hatte, und dass hat unsere Putzfrau leider nicht mehr ganz wegputzen können am Wechseltag. Also alles in Ordnung seitdem.
