Hessen's largest contiguous forest area invites you to go hiking and cycling. The Sababurg (Grimm's fairytale castle) is also very close. Culturally, Kassel offers everything your heart desires with Wilhelmshöhe Palace, theatre and cinema. The city tours in Hann. Münden and the weekly market with friendly people in the wonderful old town convey the best holiday feeling. The romantic accommodation is ideally suited for families.

Great vacation home.
We spent a weekend with 5 adults in the holiday home Zaubernuss. Although we decided on it quite short notice, the landlord made it possible for us to arrive. The house is beautifully situated. The design of the garden, the stream and the equipment in the house leave nothing to be desired. Everything is available that you need. The landlord and the lady who takes care of the house on site are very nice and friendly and strive to ensure that everything runs smoothly. We liked it very much and can absolutely recommend the holiday home.

Relaxing long weekend
We spent a very nice long weekend. The house is idyllically located in the middle of the greenery and you can listen to nature wonderfully. In the evenings, we loved to hear the babbling brook that flows through the property
We found everything we needed in the house
We went on several excursions during the days:
- Day in Kassel with a visit to the Karlsaue state park
- Visit to the Sababurg Zoo
- Visit to Hann. Münden and evening stop with ferry ride in the beer garden in Hameln
We definitely plan to come back. Then we will take our bicycles with us and would like to go on smaller day trips along the Weser

Hiking holiday
Very nice accommodation. The bathrooms and the sauna are very modern. The kitchen was not quite as clean but okay. The surroundings are very rural, so ideal for hiking. The stream right next to the house creates a nice ambiance.

Fabulous
This is the third time we have enjoyed this truly enchanting retreat, and once again we felt at home from the very first moment. The first time we were "blessed" with bad weather, we can now unreservedly recommend the house in every season (keyword sauna!). Our three children were also thrilled again and definitely want to come back! Many thanks to the Dettmering family and the lovely manager Mrs Grebe!

Wanderurlaub
Everything was perfect for our hiking holiday with our dog. House with a large garden for our dog, spacious living space, large sauna, just a few meters to the forest/hiking trail.
