Our holiday cabin "Mühle" was formerly an old mill in the Black Forest, which stands at the edge of the forest behind our organic farm. Ideal for families, friends, and couples. The mill contains everything needed to spend a relaxing holiday in the countryside and to be self-sufficient.
A wood stove brings cozy warmth to the mill on cool or wintry days, hot water is provided by an electric boiler. In the kitchen there is a kettle, coffee machine, toaster, stove with oven, cooking utensils and dishes are available for 4 people. There is even a MINI dishwasher. The bedrooms are located in the attic, divided into 2 rooms.
Outside there is a sturdy wooden set and a grill to spend a nice, cozy time in nature and enjoy the magnificent starry sky.

The mill is located at the edge of the forest on our organic estate Schwoererhof in Jostal.
In winter, depending on snow conditions, you have to walk to the mill.
You have no mobile reception and no Wi-Fi in and around the mill.
Please bring your own bed linen and towels.

House shoes or thick socks
Charcoal for grilling, wood for the stove is available, possibly bring wood briquettes for cold nights.
The hut must be cleaned by yourself on the day of departure, cleaning utensils, cleaners, and vacuum cleaner are available.
All rooms must be vacuumed, kitchen and bathroom additionally mopped, dishes put away clean in the cupboards, beds left tidy. Report any damages, this saves trouble for you and us.
Please separate the waste in an environmentally friendly way and dispose of it in the designated bins at the yard. Unsorted waste must be taken with you.
Please dispose of used glass yourself.
Important!
Please pack your food securely against mice, one drops by from time to time.
Please also take all food with you again!

Beautiful
We were there with our 2-year-old and our dog. It was really good for everyone! You have your peace and the nature is beautiful. The accommodation has everything you need.

Holidays with big children.
It was real relaxation! Without phone and internet, we could show our children how our childhood was. Very calm and connected to nature, yet with some excursion destinations nearby.

Romantic cozy feel-good cabin
In the cabin "Mühle," we experienced a cozy, long weekend in celebration of our first wedding anniversary. Thanks to the proximity to nature, the seclusion, and the rustic-charming style of the cabin, we were able to really enjoy ourselves and unwind. The cabin lacks nothing (important); everything is there to spend a few nice and - thanks to the wood stove - also warm hours.
The Faller family is warm, accommodating, and makes the whole experience very uncomplicated. We will definitely come back and can wholeheartedly recommend the cabin ❤️

A pearl in nature
We had wonderful days at the mill!
The mill is nestled like a pearl in nature and a brook babbles quietly from the house.
In the morning, you fall out of bed into nature, which is a special treat due to the secluded location.
You can start hiking directly from the mill and the "Schweizer Hof", which is very easy to reach on foot, has very good home-style cooking. Time has somehow stood still there and you feel like you've been transported back to the 80s;-) but it also has charm.
The Faller family is really nice and everything felt very relaxed.
However, we also have to give a few minus points.
The final cleaning includes vacuuming and mopping. However, the mill could do with a spring clean. Many dust threads in the bathroom lamps, some lamps do not work. Kitchen utensils and also the tray in the oven needs cleaning, the baking tray should be replaced urgently(bacon, scratched) The lamp above the dining table would also enjoy a water bath. It's all about the feel-good factor and so much more could be done.
I found the attention to detail in the mill a little lacking.
Also the big stain in the back room on the carpet, should be dealt with urgently!
We can definitely recommend the mill, but with a few compromises.
